Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

H i again Sheba. It is actually early morning since I fell asleep at the computer. I did see hubby today and brought him a breaded chicken sandwich on a homemade hamburg roll from the Farmer’s Market. I included fries, lettuce and tomato and made the same for the roommate. I also brought blueberries, strawberries and the honey crisp apples. Hubby was not good today. His mind was elsewhere. I don’t know if this was caused by not eating dinner yesterday (I did not bring a care package) or low blood sugar. At least he started on the strawberries and ate an entire apple. I assume Sunday will be better and it will be as if nothing happened. He heard someone knocking at the door, then he t hough t someone was here, heard a phone ring, but mentioned that we had voice mail. He did eat a little of the dinner after having the fruit. Haven’t decided what I will do S unday. The meal Friday night looked to be mushrooms in gravy with a roll. It was unappetizing. The smell was awful. I was all set to go out to get both something to eat, but both refused. Seeing my hubby the way he was, I felt guilty that I did not go out for something. And now I just decided to make hamburgers with onion. I have a couple of hamburg rolls left, so it will be an easy fix. I think I will also do a salad on the side . Not sure yet about the dessert. I wrap everything in tinfoil. The food remains hot even with the half hour drive. Amazing.
Hope you both are feeling better. Happy Mother’s Day to you. Your phone must be ringing off the hook. Try to enjoy the day. Remember to walk around the house. Don’t even think of walking outside. Hope your brother and sister-in-law are feeling better also. Whatever you do, please remember not to be a couch potato or be in bed all day. Move around as much as posslble . This goes for hubby also. Covid is not a breeze. You will have ups and downs of good days and bad. Go with the tide, and this also will pass.

Sheba, Oh my, not Covid. You made it through all these years. That is really crazy. One little visit and wonder where they picked it up? Did you say your hubs has it also?
Please take care, take it easy and rest up. Glad you found out early on.
Best to you all in getting over Covid.
About a week ago I met a woman who worked on Covid vaccines in clinical trials. She was so interesting to speak with and you know I asked her about the vaccine safety. People forget how great vaccines are and have been in most of our lives. She said ABSOLUTELY! She explained in more detail and this all made me so happy as I have been vax’d multiple times.Rest up and Happy Mother’s Day tomorrow.

Hang in there my friend, glad you got the meds.👍 I went through this twice with my husband. The first time, if you remember, he had it before the vaccines came out and was very sick and got the infusion because of his immune system. I’m sure you and hubs will feel better within the week.🙏🤞
Warm but rainy today, all gone and looks like a beautiful evening and week ahead. Happy Mother’s Day to you. I hope the kids shower you with love.💗💗💗💗

I found the following in today’s MSN news. It sounds real good and if you have some or all the ingredients, you may want to try it. Here you can use your Instant Pot, if you have one. The person who wrote it is a chef and it came from a German person who used to make this daily for everyone in the restaurant. The chef said it really works, so you may wish to give it a try.
When it comes to the season where everyone is catching a cold, my Instant Pot Immune Booster Tea is just what you need to help battle it!
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
Ingredients
2 oranges (cut into halves)
2 lemons (cut into halves)
1 bunch of parsley (rinsed – left whole on stem)
3 celery stalks (cut in 3rds)
Ginger root (1/2″ and cut in half)
Water (Please read directions for the amount of water needed)
1/2 cup Turkish honey (normal honey is fine, too)
Instructions
Add all of the ingredients to your Instant Pot, except the hone. Don’t put the honey in yet.
Fill your IP Liner with water up to the 1/2 mark.
Place your IP liner inside the pot, and close the lid. Close the vent. Place on High Manual Pressure for 15 minutes and let it NPR.
Release the remaining steam and remove the lid. Add in the honey and stir until it is dissolved.
Ladle out your servings in a cup and enjoy! This is great chilled as well. -
Happy Mother’s Day Kitten. 🌹
