Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hmm. Just checked to see if we have TCM on Demand. Yuk we don’t. Oh well, I can watch it on Amazon.

I do alot of air frying and oven baking with fruit. I wash the fruit thoroughly and then slice it leaving the skin on. Throw the fruit on t9p of whatever I’m cooking. The flavor really enhances the meat, fish, chicken, turkey, etc.. A flavor that is much different than when you bite into it. Don’t be afraid to give it a try. Papaya is awesome. You can even add these to your veggies in a stir fry. Yes even squash.

I did watch and it came on twice. I own three copies on Blu Ray and one is a special
edition this movie is a part of my life more than I can say. 😘🌹 -
Papa, Can You Hear Me?
Song by Barbra StreisandGod, our heavenly Father
Oh God, and my father
Who’s also in Heaven
May the light
Of this flickering candle
Illuminate the night the way
Your spirit illuminates my soul
Papa, can you hear me?
Papa, can you see me?
Papa, can you find me in the night?
Papa, are you near me?
Papa, can you hear me?
Papa, can you help me not be frightened?
Looking at the skies
I seem to see a million eyes
Which ones are yours?
Where are you now that yesterday
Has waved goodbye
And closed its doors?
The night is so much darker
The wind is so much colder
The world I see is so much bigger
Now that I’m alone
Papa, please forgive me
Try to understand me
Papa, don’t you know I had no choice?
Can you hear me praying
Anything I’m saying
Even though the night is filled with voices?
I remember ev’rything you thought me
Ev’ry book I’ve ever read
Can all the words in all the books
Help me to face what lies ahead?
The trees are so much taller
And I feel so much smaller
The moon is twice as lonely
And the stars are half as bright
Papa, how I love you
Papa, how I need you
Papa, how I miss you
Kissing me goodnight -
I forgot to mention that the “Wizard of Oa” was televised last night. It still thrills me to watch the movie all these years later.

We have clear skies, no humidity with temps in the low 80s. Tomorrow we will pick up our fresh turkey along with the veggies and fresh cranberries from the Cape. Also oranges so I can make the relish. I imagine the stores will be crowded. I will be masked and may also include gloves. I hope we can find blueberries and plums since they will be baked with the turkey during the last 5-10 minutes.
The first holidays without your dad will be the hardest. Probably just as tough for your stepmom. I’m happy that you have included her as well. I bet Poppy will be looking for a handout.

I did see the last five minutes of the game. After the Raiders went ahead, I figured KC would tie it with a field goal. Never underestimate Mr. Mahomes. A perfect touchdown in a little over a minute. He is the man!!!🔥🏈🔥
I know we both have what Dorothy teaches. Just wish they could last forever.🥰 Hugs back to you and Poppy in Oz.🤗

Somewhere Over The Rainbow – Judy Garland
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
There’s a land that I heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh, why can’t I?
Somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why, oh, why can’t I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh, why can’t I?
