Computer has not arrived. Guess we will market tomorrow. Meanwhile just heard from a cousin that one of our cousin’s has past. Her Mom, also a close cousin, is in assisted living. I don’t think we will be able to make the funeral which will be either tomorrow or Sunday. Besides, we will need to quarantine for two weeks, especially coming from Florida.

Funny about the charcoal deodorant. I have charcoal soap which helps with eczema and other types of rashes. I’m happy that my dad, in some way, proved that what he told me years ago was able to come through for you.

Looking forward to Trivia. I could use a few smiles and laughter right now.

I’m sure it felt good to stay home today and not have to run. I did go up to mom’s and drank tea and talked with her and sis for a couple hours. My mom has every available space filled with Christmas decorations. I like Christmas, a tree, cards and a wreath but she is overkill.🎄🎅 Thank goodness my sister is here to help because it is just too much work for me. My sister said she feels like she is in purgatory and this is her penance, lol!🤣 Mom says it makes her happy but I think she is influenced by her neighbors and just wants to keep up.

I am very lucky to have mom close by. It must be very frustrating for you and others not being able to visit or celebrate together. Who would have thought back in March that this would still be here and getting worse. I say a prayer daily that we can end this virus so everyone can go back to being normal and enjoy their families no matter where they are. 🙏

Rethinking Complaining

When we spend all of our time complaining, we are in essence in constant destroy mode rather than building mode.

We all know someone who has elevated the process of complaining to a high art. Sometimes funny, sometimes exhausting, these people have the ability to find a problem just about anywhere. In its more evolved form, complaining is simply the ability to see what’s not working, in one’s own life or in the external world, and it can be quite useful if followed to its natural conclusion — finding a solution and applying it. However, many of us don’t get that far, and we find that complaining has become an end in itself. In small doses, this is not a big problem, but if complaining has become a huge part of our identities, it may be time to take a good look at how we are spending our energy.

Complaining is a person’s way of acknowledging that they are not happy with the way things are. In a metaphorical way, when we complain or criticize, we are tearing down an undesirable structure in order to make room for something new. But if all we do is tear down, never bothering to summon the creative energy required to create something new, we are not fulfilling the process. In fact, we are at risk for becoming a stagnant and destructive force in our own lives and in the lives of the people we love. Another issue with complaining is that we sometimes tend to focus on other people, whom we can’t change, as a way of deflecting attention from the one person we can change — ourselves. So transforming complaining into something useful is a twofold process that begins with turning our critical eye to look at things we can actually do something about, and then taking positive action.

When we find ourselves complaining, the last thing we need to do is get down on ourselves. Instead, we can begin by noticing that we are in the mode of wanting to make some changes. But rather than lashing out at somebody or an organization, we can look for an appropriate place to channel this energy — not our neighbor’s house, but possibly parts of our own. Finally, we can ask ourselves the positive question of what we would like to create in the place of whatever it is we want to tear down. When we do this, we channel a negative habit into a creative process, thus using our energy to change the world around us in a positive way.

Good Afternoon in the burgh. 😘Stay nice and toasty. This is the first time in days I have
not had a doctor’s appt. We are chilly in OZ. 🤣I am still busy doing things around the
house for once I can actually stay focused I wish our kids were home and I could be
with my Mother and other family members. The list is long. I hate Covid-19. All of us
have been affected by this on some level. Oh, well moving forward I want you and Jake
to have a nice warm day indoors. 😘Poppy is really wagging his tail. 🤣

We are chilly here in OZ low 20’s today right now we are in the low 30’s yes the heat
is on. 🤣 I don’t want busted pipes if it gets too low.

Good Afternoon in Florida. 😘I hope you have your new computer by now. 😎
Oodie when I was at the doctor’s office yesterday in a gift package given to me
by the hospital was some charcoal deodorant very interesting since we talked about
this during my visit. I had back to back doctor visits this week. I go again next week
but I have no worries.

I have my hands full today. If you get to market be safe. 😎

I am sure there is snow on Cape Cod or your other house. Oz will have some snow
tomorrow. 😘💕
