Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi TACI. Guess both of us are up in the wee hours. I just saw your post on spices. Mine are quite old as well. I discarded the ones that were opened but the others I will check before using. I have the habit of refrigerating my favorites and they seem to last quite a while.
I do miss the winter and fall weather in New England. But, I do not miss what goes with it like shoveling, putting sand down, slipping on the first step going out the door and falling, or ice skating to our car, and then once in the car hoping we don’t skid going out the driveway. I do miss sitting in my den/office and watching the snow gently fall to the ground. So peaceful.
Good to see you posting. I just wanted to really say Hi. Please stay safe.

Good evening Sheba, Was it our drought, fires and/ or Covid? Crazy times is all I can say. Thefts are way up here. Los Angeles is hit really hard with Covid. The Gov has rolled out more restrictions for the State which is what you might be hearing about on the news. The thing about CA is it’s a huge State. Our postal worker looks completely exhausted. I spoke with her recently and gave her a gift card. She deserves 100 of them.
Short walk today as I decided to clean and reorganize some kitchen shelves. Does anyone ever check the expiration date on their spices? Some of mine we a tad old, lol.
Love your Beautiful pictures and music as always!
Did you connect with your niece?Hi everyone and Hope you are all safe and well.

One more thing on Hanukkah. I think you would sincerely enjoy the Hanukkah song that Adam Sandler wrote quite a few years ago and sang on SNL, “The Chanukah Song.” You can relate to it.

Hi Sheba. It is now early evening in Florida and the temps are in the low 60s. Rain is expected tonight into tomorrow. Cool temps tonight and through most of the week. Don’t worry, I have tons of warmer wear hear. No boots needed, but that could change anytime. I do remember when it was real cold in Florida. It lasted about two or three weeks. Iguanas were falling out of trees and were frozen stiff. Many vets took them in and thawed them out and they were fine. However, that was also the time when hubby and I left all our warmer gear home thinking that the lower temps would be in the 60s. Not so. Temps were in the 20s and 30s. I think we went to every store we could think of to find sweatshirts, winter jackets, sweaters, etc.. None were found. However, when the cold spell were over, there seemed to be sales everywhere on outer wear. We purchased what was needed and now we are well prepared.
Yesterday you asked for Hanukkah songs. I remember the first one we used to sing was “Rock of Ages,”(“Ma’Oz Tsur) which is my favorite. Others include “I Am A Little Dreid”l; “Sivion, Sov, Sov, Sov” These three I think most everyone can relate to. Now we also include “Jerusalem of Gold” by Naomi Shemer. Lastly, always sung at the very end of the family get together is Israel’s National Anthem, “Hatikvah.” What a great job you are doing with the Hanukkah thread. Absolutely beautiful.
