Well, I definitely thought today was when the contractors would be here. Evidently I got the date and day mixed up. They come a week from tomorrow. I found my calendar, go figure.

The visiting nurse will be here tomorrow. She phoned. There was a knock on the door before 10 am this morning and I was still in night clothes. I said another day would be better. Hubby was still asleep and I really didn’t want to wake him. We were both up until 4 am this morning.

Amazon has started their sale for the holidays. I took advantage over the last few days to purchase hubby some belated birthday gifts. Since this whole episode has started he has lost quite a bit of weight. So much weight in fact, that if he doesn’t hold on to his shorts or trousers they would fall to the floor. So, today he received new PJs, belts and shorts. I went down one size, but realistically, I think I should have gone down two. But, at least this is a start.

The upcoming TS on the Nutribullet GO really sounded exciting. On long trips our physician recommended smoothies or a health bar. I thought this would fit the bill. However, I did some research today and people have mentioned that it stops working in less than a week or a few minutes after getting started. It dies way too soon. Most importantly it does not do frozen veggies or fruit that well and the ice can not be crushed no matter how small it is. So then I checked the Ninja and found they make a similar product. Most people liked it and it gives you a full serving. Oh yes, the Nutribullet does not come with the extra cups or an extra machine. If you wanted two it would be over $60. I will definitely consider this for long travels or even when we decide to cruise again. You can always go up to the Lido Deck on a cruise and return to your cabin with crushed ice and tons of fruit. After a long day of sightseeing, it would be great to sit on the deck/balcony with smoothie in hand.

I happened to look outside today and saw something red in the distance. Had to take binoculars to see what it was. Evidently there is a maple tree in the throws of turning red. Absolutely beautiful. Guess I have a taste, be it a small one, after all. 👻☠👽🦚

I wish we could have found someway to get together in Tampa. We are about an hour South from there. IKEA isn’t far from the highway either. I think we clocked it at 5 miles. We hit 92 today and tomorrow will be the same only more humidity. A cool front will make us more comfortable over the weekend. Sixty degrees at night. Have forgotten what that feels like.

Good Afternoon Sheba, Its a sunny day here and I hope your day is going well. I didn’t get much sleep last night. The grass crew came this morning and interrupted my sleep in the morning. I ralso received another order from Kroger today wiped everything down and put away. Soon after that Amazon delivery came, I made a huge order. Got lots of different flours, peanut, cashew, chia, sunflower, sesame, garbanzo bean, pecan all kind of flours. Along with olive oil, and different nut butters. Wiped all that down and put away as well. Now I am very tired. I decided to start my holiday shopping on such items so when I want to bake something for my neighbors I have it on hand. Only thing is, I thought I was ordering two huge bags of pecans, I ended up with walnuts. That’s what I get for placing orders in the middle of the night. I hope you and your hubby finds somewhere real nice to relax, you two enjoy your trip. Take care Sheba.

Good afternoon to you!😊 Did just what I said and grocery shopped this morning. Had five bags so glad it’s done before mom’s trip tomorrow. Results of the bloodwork were A+, thank goodness. Keeping fingers crossed for next month🤞- why does that look like a turkey leg to me? Must have Thanksgiving on the brain.🧠

Feeling Lonely

When we are feeling lonely, we have lost the idea that we are all one and none of us are separate from the whole.

We all have days when we feel lonely, but the very idea of loneliness comes from the false notion that we are separate and isolated parts in a world filled with other separate, isolated parts. In truth, we can no more be separate from our world than a fish can be separate from the water in which it swims. When we really begin to look at the boundaries we see as so solid, they prove to be, in fact, quite porous. For example, it is not clear exactly where our skin ends and the air begins when we consider how our skin is affected by changes in the quality of the air. When it is dry, our skin becomes dry, and when it is humid, our skin becomes moist and supple.

By the same token, it is difficult sometimes to distinguish the boundary between one person and another, especially when our actions tie us together so inextricably. Every move we make has an effect that touches all the people around us. On an even more subtle level, when we share space with another person, we often pick up on their energy, feeling how they feel and attuning to them, whether we mean to or not. This is what we mean when we say a mood or a feeling is contagious. We cannot help but be part of the realities of the people around us because we take form from the same energetic force, and this force unifies all life. This force is the light that all the great mystics and gurus encourage us to move toward, and it is the light we will dissolve into when we move beyond our individual egos.

If loneliness is a temporary condition based on an incomplete understanding of what we are made of, we can think of its presence as a catalyst for exploring our ideas about reality. We can respond by testing the boundaries we believe separate us from the life within and all around us. If we test them, we will discover that they are not so solid after all and that we can never really be alone. AMEN! ✨✨
