Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Had a great day shopping at Costco. Went for bottled water and sinus meds and came out with a van full. I had some questions that customer service were able to answer on the computer. I don’t think I will purchasing the square trade since Costco’s Tech Support offers many things with the new computer. I think the square trade only covers monitor breakage and water spills.
Tomorrow is a work day on the house. I still do not like our MB and will be doing alot of furniture moving. The hardest part will be removing the box spring and mattress so I can move the bed around. I tried it in a corner and because of our night stands it looked horrid. “Still looking for the right comforter to pull everything together. As I said before I do have one at the Cape house that may be the one, but, I still like looking. All the wall hangings are now in the living room. I’m doing the walls. Besides it’s time for a Lysol spritz.
Also, Trivia is tomorrow as well. I promise not to overdo it. The weather here will mean I can now open the windows and let in some of that Florida fresh air. The night time has been really cool with temps in the mid 40s. Tonight will be in the 50s. Will reach 80 by Sunday.
I just wish people would be considerate all year long. So different at this time of year.

Hi Taci. Thank you for the Hanukkah greetings. Times like this I really miss the family get togethers. But since we are now spread far and wide it is easier to send an e-mail and to talk on the phone. Starting in a couple of days, will be using either zoom or google to get in touch. At least now I will be up to date on everything a new computer can offer. I enjoy the stories you bring on your Mom. Happy that she can get out and about and in her way enjoy the season. Have a great weekend. Enjoy your hikes. Stay safe.

Hey there Sheba, Yes, she really likes to get out and shop. It keeps her mind off things and she is careful and has been tested a bunch of times. Each time she goes out, even to her Doctors, she is quarantined for 14 days. She is used to this cycle now.
Hope you had a good day today and poppy too! Do you bake at this time of year?
We drove an hour and hiked, about 1 mile uphill and then back, which was mostly downhill and good thing :).
Have a great evening all!

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”
The End
