Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Biggest Part of Me
Song by AmbrosiaThere’s a new sun arisin’
(In your eyes) I can see a new horizon
(Realize) That will keep me realizin’
You’re the biggest part of me
Need your lovin’ here beside me
(Shine the light) Need it close enough to guide me
(All my life) I’ve been hoppin’ you would find me
You’re the biggest part of me
Well, make a wish, baby
And I will make it come true
Make a list baby, of the things I’ll do for you
Ain’t no risk in lettin’ my love rain down on you
So we can wash away the past so that we may start anew
Risin’ over my shoulder
(Love flows) Gettin’ better as we’re older
(All I know) All I wanna do is hold her
She’s the life that breathes in me
Got a feelin’ that forever
Together) We are gonna stay together
(Forever) For me there’s nothing better
You’re the biggest part of me
Well, make a wish, baby
And I will make it come true
Make a list baby, of the things I’ll do for you
Ain’t no risk in lettin’ my love rain down on you
So we can wash away the past so that we may start anew
More than an easy feelin’
She brings joy to me
How can I tell you what it means to me
Flow like a lazy river
For an eternity
I finally found someone who believes in me
And I’ll never leave
(Now I’ve found all I need)
Need your lovin’ here beside me
(To guide me) Keep it close enough to guide me
(Inside of me) From the fears that are inside of me
You’re the biggest part of me
Got a feelin’ that forever
(Together) We are gonna stay together
(Forever) From now until forever
You’re the biggest part or me
You’re the life that breathes in me
You’re the biggest part of me
You changed my life
You made it bright
And I’ll be a savior to you
For the rest of my life
Oh, oh the biggest part of me -

Right now they are predicting 2-4″ for the ‘burgh but that is two days away❄❄. They also said it could shift so who knows. When it snowed two weeks ago, they said we would get 3-5″ and my house had almost 8″. So glad you are prepared, sure hope you don’t need boots, lol!🥶 Be glad you are in Florida this week. I will run out tomorrow then hibernate until the weekend with stew and soup.🥣
-
Please be careful. Just read where you may have a foot of that white dandruff. I assume it will be a dry snowfall and will be a tad easier on that shovel. But, please, don’t do everything all at once. It will also be cool in Florida and we are all set. Have scarves, gloves, winter coats, sweatshirts, sweaters, etc.. But, no boots. Those are at the other houses.
Here’s to hot chocolate, soup and stew to keep us all warm and toasty.

Good afternoon. I have spent the last three days looking for keys, wallet, bills, credit cards, etc. along with trying to get the Master Bedroom in order. I have been pulling my hair out because this is not like my husband. I found his wallet on the kitchen bar next to the phone along with the credit cards that he assumed were lost. The bills are next to the computer and so this is all set. He was so upset with Costco that everything landed in different places. We are definitely thinking about giving up that membership since this is not the first time we have had problems with them. Suffice to say, when we are able to return to the North there is no Costco near us. The closest one will still be almost two hours away one way. BJs on the other hand is within ten minutes on Cape and there is one on route as well. Though I think they are more of a basement warehouse in comparison, it will have to do. Sam’s Club is no where to be found in the Northeast. They started closing those warehouses about two years ago and never mentioned it to their employees. They found a note on the door the next day when they showed up for their shift. It is now, in most cases, an empty building.
I also spent some time on the computer looking at new covers for the bed. I happened to have found one and I think I mentioned it a couple of days ago. It was coral and beige and it reminded me of some of the seashells I have collected over the years. It also came in a gorgeous shade of the Caribbean blue. However, when I again looked at it and I was about to purchase I decided to see if other stores carried it. And they did at lower prices. But, the size was way off. It was too small. If the manufacturer would have included an oversized comforter, it would have met my every expectation. But, because hubby pulls everything to his side and leaves me with just a small piece of something, not a good fit. On a cool evening/when the temp here is like winter, I also like cuddling under layers. So be it. I’ll keep looking.
Take care and stay safe. There is now a light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. We have our doctor appointment next week. I will have to bring up my allergies and see if I can get the shot. No one has mentioned the ingredients. I wish they were more opened. Sulfites is not only in food but also in soaps, shampoos, conditioners, clothing, medication, drinks, etc. just to name a few. This has been my one question. According to the FDA this should not pose a problem. Hmm……….I do not know.

Thanks Sheba, that’s my Jake. Barbara Keel and Jim Killen are very similar in their artwork. I have two great prints, one is called School Daze which are six different puppies sitting together and the other is called Class Reunion which are the same puppies when they grow old. I just love them.
Cold in the ‘burgh and it will stay cold until the weekend. Snow predicted on Wednesday so I will be staying put. I always say I don’t mind the cold, at least I can drive through cold. Warm hugs from us.

Dumbing Ourselves Down
When we dumb ourselves down, we sell ourselves short and lose an opportunity to shed light where it is needed.
The ability to go into any social situation and sense the level of consciousness in that situation is a gift. It enables us to move considerately in a world that holds people of all levels of awareness. However, there is a difference between shifting our energy to accommodate people and dumbing ourselves down to a regrettable degree. Sometimes, when we get into a particular social situation, we may feel pressure to play it small in order to fit in. Perhaps everyone is drinking or smoking excessively, engaging in gossipy small talk, or complaining bitterly about politics. It is one thing to notice this and modify our expectations and another thing entirely to join in.
When we notice where people are coming from and acknowledge to ourselves that their energy is not in alignment with ours, we have several choices as to how to proceed. One viable option is to quietly endure the situation, keeping to ourselves until it is time to leave. In this way, we take care of our own consciousness and protect our growth process. Another option is to interact in a way that honors and pays respect to the people in the group, while gently attempting to shift the level of consciousness with our input. In order to do this, we must maintain our own vibration, which means that joining in by dumbing down is not an option.
When we choose to dumb ourselves down to fit in, we not only sell ourselves short but we also lose a possible opportunity to influence the situation for the good of all concerned. Our desire to join in may come from our natural yearning to feel connected to the people around us. There is no shame in this, but being able to stand on our own, separate from the crowd, is a powerful milestone on any spiritual path. It can be difficult in the moment, but when we arrive on the other side, our integrity intact, we may find ourselves feeling positively smart.
