Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi Sheba, hope you had a good day. Running around as usual with mom. She didn’t seem too energetic today, I guess because of her busy week. She’s going to another show and dinner tomorrow. So much this week and then nothing for weeks, although her calendar looks a lot more busy than mine.
Warm and humid today, cooling off tomorrow, highs in the 60’s, lows in the 40’s. Sis is going on a cruise last week of the month before she comes back. Will be interesting to hear how that goes. Hope you have an easy weekend. Think I’ll relax and watch some hockey.🍸🏒

Hi Oodie – I wanted to tell you that I have a Ninja that is about 5-6 years old. Don’t remember the model but it is the larger one with a big blender cup (40 oz.) and two smaller cups. It also has two blade attachments for different types of food. It has never broken. I use it all the time for smoothies and it crushes big ice cubes great. Favorite smoothie is chocolate banana – 4-5 ice cubes, one banana, some almond milk and a scoop of Andrew Lessman’s chocolate Secure. You can also use frozen bananas and less ice. I can never seem to eat that last banana before it is too ripe so I slice it and freeze it.

Hi. Yes, I hope to see you in trivia whether or not there is a game. Right now I’m just relaxing before I start the Trivia thread. By the way, that recipe sounds divine. My hubby’s sugar has dropped just over 2 points. We both started watching our diet about three weeks ago. I didn’t expect any changes since it was too soon, but glad it payed off. Asian food is off our diet for at least six months because of salt, preservatives and sugar.
We are supposed to get a cool down for a few days beginning tomorrow night. I was just outside planting some cacti that I found near our mailbox and the humidity is non existent. I will finish planting tomorrow morning and then place them on our stone area. And of course will add more soil. Looks like 80+degrees for most of next week. Temps in the 60s at night. Wish I could open our windows, but will leave them closed because of the geckos.

@oodiebom, Hello Oodie and thank you for your note yesterday. Our small trip to Tampa was fun, and perhaps one day we can get together. Hopefully when all this Pandemic mess is over. I found a YouTube channel for Diabetics in Portuguese. Got a quick bread recipe::: 2 egg, 5 Tablespoons sesame flour, 7 tablespoons Oats flour or small pieces, 2 Teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoon yogurt, 2 tablespoons Olive oil or Coconut oil, pinch salt, pinch sugar substitute, mix eggs well till foamy, add rest of ingredients, place in loaf pan with parchment paper, sprinkle with some sesame seeds bake at 350, until top is golden brown, inset toothpick. Check to see don’t know if its 15, or 20 or 30 minutes. I might try it tonight. See you in Trivia tonight.

Hello Sheba, How are you on this Friday? I am glad you are having some cool weather. I am looking forward to getting some here, but I know after a few days of cold weather I will be wishing for warm days again. I kind of do that every winter, wanting some cool days, than having enough of it. We might to a ride over to Orlando this weekend not sure yet. If not I want to experiment with some recipes for my husband with the different flours I got from Amazon. I might made a little quick bread this afternoon. It’s only 2 eggs, sesame flour, oat flour, baking powder, pinch salt and pinch of sugar substitute and it’s all done quickly by hand. Its good with coffee or tea. See you in Trivia tonight Sheba.

Taking time for yourself
Making time for the activities that contribute to your spiritual growth has little to do with being selfish.
Modern life compels us to rush. Because we feel pressured to make the most of our time each day, the activities that sustain us, rejuvenate us, and help us evolve are often the first to be sacrificed when we are in a hurry or faced with a new obligation. It is important we remember that there is more to life than achieving success, making money, and even caring for others. Your spiritual needs should occupy an important spot on your list of priorities. Each task you undertake and each relationship you nurture draws from the wellspring of your spiritual vitality. Taking the time to engage in spiritually fulfilling activities replenishes that well and readies you to face another day. Making time for the activities that contribute to your spiritual growth has little to do with being selfish and everything to do with your well-being. Regularly taking the time to focus on your soul’s needs ensures that you are able to nurture yourself, spend time with your thoughts, experience tranquility, and expand your spiritual boundaries.
It is easy to avoid using our free moments for spiritual enrichment. There is always something seemingly more pressing that needs to be done. Many people feel guilty when they use their free time to engage in pursuits where they are focusing on themselves because they feel as if they are neglecting their family or their work. To make time for yourself, it may be necessary to say no to people’s requests or refuse to take on extra responsibilities. Scheduling fifteen or thirty minutes of time each day for your spiritual needs can make you feel tranquil, give you more energy and allows you to feel more in touch with the universe. Writing in a journal, meditating, studying the words of wise women and men, and engaging in other spiritual practices can help you make the most of this time.
Making time to nurture your spirit may require that you sacrifice other, less vital activities. The more time you commit to soul-nurturing activities, the happier and more relaxed you will become. The time you devote to enriching your spirit will rejuvenate you and help you create a more restful life. ✨😘✨
