Shoelady, I forgot to mention that you two should do face time using your cells. If nothing else, it will keep yours and his morale up. Laughter is the best medicine as well as hearing one’s voice instead of yelling behind closed doors.

I slept late this morning. I was up to 2 am looking for the info I need. It was in one spot and I fear hubby picked it up and took it somewhere even though he said he didn’t touch it. If our home was in order where everything is where it’s supposed to be this occurrence would not happen over and over again. The kitchen was in excellent shape. I now have to redo all the cabinets and drawers. Hubby cleaned the refrigerator, but I cannot find our vegetables. The veggie bins are emptied. I do know they are in the frig, but will need to redo each section to put them where they belong. Now you know why nothing gets done and why I am tearing my hair out.

A couple of days ago I mentioned to Shoelady to get her husband tested for Covid. I’m not sure if she heeded my advice or did it on her own. Either way, at least we know. I hope she reads your thread even though she may not answer. I gave her some advice, at least what worked for us. I just hope he is all right and at home.

It’s cold in Florida also. I found my flannels and now I’m happy. The heat is working and I will put it down a bit when we retire for the night. Bundle up when you go out and do the same for Poppy. Take care and please stay safe.

Shoelady, I’m so sorry that your hubby has Covid. I was afraid that was the illness. You definitely need to be careful for at least the next 10 days or so. Even the pooches need to quarantine. They can get it also. Ok. You also will need to quarantine somewhere in the house. But, you will need to deep clean where you need to situate yourself for the next week or two. If hubby is home, you will need to make him get out of bed. He needs to walk around so that he doesn’t get pneumonia. Food is tasteless and also may be odorless for awhile. But, he needs to eat and drink plenty of fluids. Eggs in the morning are good, but if he has a cough, don’t toast the bread because it seems those crumbs can start him coughing quite a bit if they go down the wrong way. Soup is a great source of vitamins and minerals and the steam is great for the stuffiness. Hot tea is good also with honey. Manuka honey is great for the throat, but as for hubby and myself, it didn’t help with the cough. My hubby just wanted to stay in bed all day. It was real difficult, but I made him rise and shine and to walk around. Also, if he is in bed, make sure he sleeps on his stomach. Breathing for some reason is easier that way. Manuka honey has different strengths. The higher the numbers the more potent it is. If you are up to it, go to Amazon and check out the varieties and prices. Some may be on sale, because this is the time of year for it. Also, they deliver within a reasonable time. And if you do not have Prime, you can try it for free for a month. Give him extra blankets because there are chills with this. Also, he may get very cold feet. Tell him it’s a side affect of Covid (I had this during the first night—I thought I would not be around the next morning). Thank goodness that we were able to see MSNBC while on the cruise. They would go over the symptoms. I think hubby and I had everyone of them. Make him take his meds daily/nightly, especially the prescriptions. Vitamins are very helpful as well. On our cruise we did not bring anything for colds or flu, but we did have our vitamins and I do believe they helped. If hubby is home, he may begin to feel a bit better in a week or so. But whatever you do, don’t let him out until the fever has passed. Mine hung on until the middle of April. I was ill from February 19th until the middle of April. But, it was on and off. One or two days feeling good and then back to square one. Temp was 101.4 one day, the next normal or near normal and then a spike to 102.4. It’s different for each person. Chicken soup is the best with lots of veggies and maybe some chicken. Anything that is easy to swallow and chew. Please, if you have any questions, just write to me here, on this thread. Hello Sheba, Sounds like you walk much earlier in the day than I do. It’s good you can go again in the evening. Hubs and I did the same hike as yesterday. Two large unleashed dogs came up the trail, one started to growl ( i think the dog was afraid) but the owners came along quickly and took them to the side to sit and wait. My Mother was sent to a place to continue to continue her recovery. My son been well, and working while on break. He enjoys it. How is your son doing? He grew up with all sisters too. Glad to hear your daughter is enjoying Bella.

Well I am saddened to hear that Shoelady’s husband has Covid. Hopefully she will be able to tell us how he is doing once things settle down. Maybe Oodie will have some advice for her?
