Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Oodie, Agree about the Mam’s. Where I go, the results go to the Dr. but I always get a letter in the mail. Wanted to mention about Hearing aides, which is apparently extra costly in the US compared to other Countries ( in case you don’t know), try Costco and/or the website for Clark Howard ( he was recently talking about them), Anyways hopes it helps.

Hope you are feeling better. from the meatballs yesterday. My favorite dish is to make rice to go with the meal and then dish meatballs on top with the sauce with a veggie salad on the side. Right now, not hungry, but I surmise this will change in an hour or so. Getting close to that time.
How is hubby doing? There are after affects that some people experience. My hubby had dementia and though better, relapses. And the biggest problem is that he knows when this happens. Me, lost more hearing and now looking at hearing aids. Listening to news stations others notice some psychological issues. The one thing you need to know is that these are not permanent. You can counteract these symptoms with vitamins along with the help of your physician. My hearing has been icky for many years. COVID made me realize that it is time for hearing aids. My hearing is still coming back, but the aids will help when there are crowds and listening to hubby’s rants and raves. If your hubby likes to exercise and work outside, just make sure he doesn’t overdo it. Tell him to lead into whatever gradually. You can find this information on line when you ask about the side affects of COVID. Wish I knew this when I had my annual Mam last year and needed a biopsy. Bet any amount of dollars that it was the result of Covid. As it turned out it was scar tissue from previous surgery many years ago. If there are any questions this year, will definitely get a second opinion. -
Well, I received an earful today from the Mam people. Seems a letter went out to my physician, which is the way to do things, telling him that they wanted to do a follow up, The letter went up the end of October. My appointment with him was just prior to Christmas. I am not blaming where I have the Mam done, but I do blame the physician’s office for not contacting me. The Mam Center will contact me when the paperwork reaches me which is usually by FAX. I called early this morning. So far no call. Consequently, I will not sit by the phone, so will make a call tomorrow morning. I do not like this in the least. I will do what I need to do and when I go North will look for another place for the Mam as well as a good physician that will keep me notified. They should have sent two letters. One to me and another to the physician. It is not there policy to notify the patient, they contact the doctor. Geez……

Good afternoon, I did get the meatball sandwich yesterday and I guess I enjoyed it too much. I only ate half and a few hours later my stomach was upset. Maybe if I hadn’t whoofed it down so fast like a pig I would have felt okay. I will try to eat the other half today more slowly.
Not much happening in the ‘burgh. Dreary and chilly but no snow. Some sun mid to late week with temps in upper 30’s/low 40’s. Mom and sis doing fine, I will tell them you gave a shoutout. The juice looks so good – Vitamin C for all of us during these winter months.🍊😊 Jake sending hugs back to Oz.

Have tried some of the games, and it fun but I am a beginner for sure.
Today I might start a reading a book. Bought some a few months ago so maybe its time 🙂Have a great day!

The Importance of Sleep
Regular periods of sleep are key to a healthy body and a clear mind, as it is during sleep that your body renews itself.
When life gets busy, sleep is often the first activity that we sacrifice. Considered a luxury by many busy people, sleep is actually as vital to sustaining a balanced life as are breathing, eating, and drinking. Getting sufficient sleep can be a potent energizer, just as not getting enough sleep can leave you feeling drained and sluggish. While eight hours is the average amount of sleep most adults should generally aim for, the right amount of sleep varies for each person. Some people may thrive on just four hours, while others don’t feel well rested unless they’ve slept for ten hours. How much we sleep also varies, depending upon where we are in life. Young people often need more sleep, while older people may need less. The benefits of sleep always stay the same. Regular and consistent periods of wakefulness and sleep are key ingredients to fostering a healthy body and a clear mind. It is during sleep that your body renews itself.
The ability to forgo sleep is considered by some to be an asset. But while it may seem that the nighttime hours can be better used for more productive activities, sleep in itself is extremely productive. During sleep, your body and psyche are both regaining their strength for the coming day. You may even have the unique opportunity to explore the hidden recesses of your personality while you dream. Meanwhile, your long-term memories are reinforced.
Many cultures engage in an afternoon siesta. Taking a nap is refreshing and can increase both productivity and creativity. Author Lewis Carroll is said to have conceived his idea for Alice in Wonderland while dreaming. A good night’s sleep also has been known to bring with it the gifts of clarity, wisdom, and a fresh perspective. Even the ancient Greeks thought of sleep as a gift from the gods. Give yourself the gift of peaceful slumber and you will likely find yourself feeling alert, refreshed, and ready for life’s challenges. You may also find yourself feeling more centered, thoughtful, and aware throughout the day so you can live your full potential. 😎
