Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hello sheba..yes we had a fun time with our lil miss, every visit brings new words. ideas. and activity! She is definitely keeping us young🤭 Called my Dr to talk about any travel plan we could put together. This is all so frustrating and deadly that we don’t want to take any false moves.Dr said, travel by car if we can would be the safest form of travel..well we are in socal and daughter is in WA state. That would mean stopping at a place to spend probably 2 nights.🤔We are thinking about all we would bring and ways to stay safe. Both our daughter& son have traveled by car during this pandemic, and stayed at hotels.I was so nervous about it but they made it and stayed healthy. We will get our car checked out to make the trip as best we can.I guess we make a check list of important points to keep in mind.Still thinkin’…staywarm&safe sheba. dd

Maybe it was the Excedrin or maybe one of Sheba’s delights. But, yes, I am feeling much better. Not sure if this particular ache was due to a weather change since it is pouring in Florida. Or, if it was due to the A/C. vent. But the pain right now is nothing like last night or during the day today. It is healing.
Thanks for the advice. There is Tylenol in Excedrin. Think I will be looking for a heating pad.

Thanks so much for your concern. Excedrin has really helped and so did the Advil. Since it is pouring right now in Florida, I am wondering if it is weather related. The last few days I have been glued to the events enfolding in our Nation’s Capitol so I did not watch any weather reports or alerts. Suffice to say, today is good and tomorrow, maybe I can get some work done. Take care of yourself on those hikes and please stay safe.

#Sheba2011
Good Evening Sheba. I finally made it to the desk and the computer. What I have is a cold in the hip muscles. The pain is awful and the real bout started yesterday after shopping at Costco. Prior to Costco we returned a computer. There is one that hubby and I are looking at and will decide over the next couple weeks or so whether to purchase or not. This one will enable me to do face time, yet, Costco has a webcam that may serve the purpose. At some point I will check the back of the CPU on this computer to see if there are extra HDM1 ports which will be needed. ..
I just read where you received a lovely gift from Heidi Daus. It is not the norm for a vendor to send a gift to a customer. You really and truly deserve this and more. You are running the thread on Heidi that is separate from this one and also helping Faire with hers while her husband fights a cancer diagnosis. I just hope that both of them are doing better. But of course, not hearing from them does raise a lot of questions. I hope they are well and staying safe.
Don’t worry about me. I am a fighter. Just will not be able to do the things that need to get done for a day or so. Have problems sitting down and getting up. As of now the Excedrin is taking the edge off. And yes, the pain is better. Yesterday was very tough. Getting out of the car was a miracle, but, climbing three steps to enter the house brought tears. My poor hubby was very distraught because he couldn’t help. I must say, that right now, I’m good. Hmm….It’s raining…….wonder if it was due to some upcoming storms. Anyway, I will see you in Trivia tomorrow. Take care, especially when you walk Poppy at night. I do not want you slipping and falling on the ice. Take care and stay safe.

@Sheba, Oh, good, your niece is in touch. It must have been an experience to fly during a pandemic. Well, today my Mother tested positive. From what i can tell at this time, it is a mild case. I spoke to one of her friends at her residence, who will be 91 next month, she had a mild case of covid and said she was recovered, she is an amazing woman. All the people I have met there are very interesting and kind.
Sheba, if you do travel, maybe get some ppe to wear and discard once you reach your destination? I know you want to get to Co.
Over to the games I go……. -
Thank you, a tea toddy!!🧉😊

Somewhere
Song by Barbra StreisandSomeday, somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere
There’s a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere
There’s a time for us
Someday there’ll be a time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn, time to care
Someday, somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find there’s a way of forgiving
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere
There’s a place for us
A time and a place for us
Hold my hand and we’re half way there
Hold my hand and I’ll take you there
Somehow, someday, somewhere -

The Boxer
Song by Simon & GarfunkelI am just a poor boy
Though my story’s seldom told
I have squandered my resistance
For a pocketful of mumbles
Such are promises
All lies and jest
Still, a man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest
Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm
When I left my home and my family
I was no more than a boy
In the company of strangers
In the quiet of the railway station
Running scared
Laying low, seeking out the poorer quarters
Where the ragged people go
Looking for the places only they would know
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Asking only workman’s wages
I come looking for a job
But I get no offers
Just a come-on from the whores on Seventh Avenue
I do declare, there were times when I was so lonesome
I took some comfort there
La-la-la-la-la-la-la
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Then I’m laying out my winter clothes
And wishing I was gone
Going home
Where the New York City winters aren’t bleeding me
Leading me
Going home
In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries the reminders
Of every glove that laid him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame
“I am leaving, I am leaving”
But the fighter still remains
Mm-mm-mm
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie, lie-lie-lie-lie-lie
Lie-la-lie-lie-lie-lie-lie -
