Good very early in Florida day Sheba:

How are you dear lady? Are you sleeping well?Is anyone sleeping well? So much going on. My mind does not shut off.

Around three in the afternoon on Monday; I put my head in my hands. My angst over my mammography was on the rampage. Five minutes later my phone rang with my physician’s office. NORMAL! I told Jerry who said he knew it all along. Good, if he knows that he needs to give me winning Lottery numbers and stocks that will take off. He knew it my foot.

This now brings me to the vaccine. In my community there seems to be a contest of who is getting it, who got it and all else. Well, we have an appointment on Sample Road in Broward County on Sunday at eleven. This means we will leave the house very early to maybe beat the four-hour lineup of cars. Sheba, donut laugh. Today, I a, going to buy Depends. Me! I have a bag filled with towels, paper and cloth, Beekman unscented wipes, toilet paper. I will wear a skirt for easy removal in the back seat. This is where I have certain envy. I am bringing a couple of empty jars for Jerry. But……we will get the vaccine. I hope they don’t run out. The appointments are based on allotments.

As for our friend Heidi…bought the snake charmer in silver and gold. They were heavy taking them out of the boxes and at 5’3” or so; my first reaction was they would be too much. Not! Absolutely gorgeous. Tried it on with Marla’s stretch tech collared button down shirt. I should have had hyphens in that diatribe. Absolutely perfect. My thinking was they would only work for turtlenecks and such. No way. Much more. Now, I want that scarf necklace.

Poppy, tell Ari to tell Jerry about my Heidi desires. Next coupon please.

Dear heart, stay safe, stay well. Wear your mask. I don’t want to hear your nose was exposed.

Your mom will feel better sleeping in her own bed and walking around her home. Nothing like being home to make the heart beat better and for the food to be to your liking. Hope she gets well soon. But, as I mentioned to Shoelady, don’t be surprised if one day she feels like climbing a mountain and the next wants to stay in bed. That’s the way Covid works. Tell her not to overdo anything until the body is ready.

Hope you are enjoying the Arcade. I play several games and also during Trivia. The questions are a half hour apart which gives you plenty of time to play a few games in between. Or, you can join the conversation. The thread is opened from one week to the next if anyone wishes to post. There are many who are alone, and when they are a no show we all become concerned.

Don’t be surprised that on a good day, when you have energy and feel fantastic, take your husband’s temp. Yes, he could still spike a fever. Some days the temp was normal. On others I would spike to 101.2 or 102.4. This went on for another month before all systems were OK. Also there are many side affects to Covid that occur much later. Hubby has dementia which may or may not last, only time will tell. He also has bad back aches, another Covid thing. I have a return of eczema which I treat with Dermarest. Thought it was shingles. tjhough I had an innoculation for it. Another side affect, headaches. And Cuomo from CNN had psychological issues. He is better today. Don’t be afraid to talk to his physician if you have any questions or concerns,. It’s a long process. Have patience. .

This covid is a process. Like Oodie said, one day you feel better and the next not as well. Husband is getting there but needs to realize it may take time to get back to a “normal.”🙄

Not sure about mom and sis’s plans but I will try to get there by the end of the week, weather permitting. I think we may have rain/snow by the weekend.🌧❄

Jake has lots of energy today. He may show up in your backyard to play with Poppy.😍

Hi. A cloudy day in Florida with rain not expected until tomorrow. Temps today will be a cool 60. Tonight low 50s. After a real hot summer, this feels like winter to both of us.

So happy that we found the keys. It’s not only the key to the van, but the house also, I do have a backup just in case. But, just in case does not make me a happy camper.

The exterminator came very early this morning. I was in the midst of doing a bathroom. It’s the one job I think most people dread, including myself. The house is beginning to look good. Our dining area was completed yesterday. Well, almost completed. Still have to do the floors,. But since there is no stopping on the floors, they will have to wait. The dining area goes right into our living room and the hallway leading to the bedrooms. The only thing I did was sweep, the rest will come later after thorough cleaning and moving all furniture. Those rooms are easy compared to the MB and GBS. I promise not to overdo it. Doing something each day will help get all things done.

The Ego

The ego is simply a way for us to understand and attend to ourselves, at the same time as we understand and attend to the world around us.

In most spiritual circles, the ego gets a pretty bad rap. The reason for this is that the ego, to some extent, is the principle in our psyches that separates us from one another, while spirit is the principle that shows us that no such separation exists. Sometimes the ego is depicted as an almost demonic figure that keeps us from realizing our true nature. But at its most basic, the ego is simply a tool that helps us organize the various aspects of our personality so that we can function in the world. In this sense, the ego is simply a way for us to understand and attend to ourselves at the same time as we understand and attend to the world around us. The ego is a tool that we use to navigate the world.

Perhaps the problem is that the ego sometimes gets out of control. This happens when the higher self loses control of the psyche. The psyche then falls under the leadership of the ego, an entity that was never meant to lead. The ego is meant to be definitively in the service of the higher self. When this relationship is functioning, the ego is a useful intermediary representing the whole self but not thinking that it is the whole self. Then, it is almost as if the ego is the self playfully pretending to be the separate entity called “I.” Like an actor, the ego plays the roles that the world asks us to play in order to be part of the program. In this way, the ego can be a tool enabling us to be in the world but not of it.

As long as we are in touch with our higher selves, our egos are not a threat. They are simply useful tools in the service of spirit. We keep our egos in check when we continually nurture our awareness of who we really are. Then our egos are free to serve without trying ineffectually to rule. It is healthy to have ego, but like all things in life, ego functions best when it is in balance and harmony with your whole self. 😎

The keys you saw in your post yesterday are Disney Keys you can get those
on any Disney site or even Disney World. My daughter got me a set when the
family went there last year. 💕😘
