Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Dear Taci;
It is with sadness that I heard of the death of your dear mother. My empathy and sympathy goes out to you. The one thing I can tell you is that in time our mothers come to live in our hearts. A friend of mine told me that when my own mother passed away. Taci; I did not believe her. How could that ever happen? Well, it did. It took time; but it did.
May the memory of your mother be a blessing.
With love;
Amy.

Hi Sheba;
How are you feeling. During this time of COVID; it seems the days meld into one another. One hour seems to blend into the next and days go by. This is what has gone on for almost a year. If I disappear for a few days; it is honestly because these times, for me, become periods of no motivation.
What a run-on sentence.
Well, Jerry turned 75 on Monday. In honor of the day; I hosted a family zoom dinner. My future DIL made his favorite which is coconut cake. It was a masterpiece. This was all a surprise for Jerry who did not enjoy the number 75 at all! As the day wore on a delivery truck pulled up with a new barbecue. No one ever know what to give to Jerry. If he wants it; he gets it. It was time for a barbecue. The twins got him the barbecue and the knowledge of a part came to be.
He put on his 75 hat and the tee shirt that read the best bicyclists were born in 1946. The cherry on the sundae was a surprise from my daughter niece’s husband. He works at our favorite cable news network. He got everyone’s attention and played a breaking news video of our favorite anchorman announcing a major news. Jerry is 75. It was like actual works. Jerry has been grinning since then. It was sensational.
Originally, I planned a big surprise dinner at our club. You know what; this was better. Everyone attending lives Jerry and that is the most important thing of all.
Poppy, hug Mommy. Ari and Chloe love you.

From start to finish almost a two hour appointment. Had the mam first then the ultra sound followed a meeting with the radiologist then another ultra sound. After lying on one side with pins and needles finally got the results. A small cyst that is nothing to worry about. Just make the next appointment which will be a regular one. No alarms. They know where the cyst is and it should go away on it’s own within time. So for now, I am back to the normal mams. I just feel real bad for hubby. He had to wait in the car the whole time. He was a nervous wreck until I made it to the van. I was also told that going North at this time is not in the cards. And that will stand until we get the all clear sign. I have a feeling it’s because we have to stay overnight quite a few times before reaching our destination. Also, no eating out unless it is outdoors and then if we take the necessary precautions. In all honesty, I really would not relish becoming ill while on the road. Better to be safe than sorry.
I was absolutely too exhausted following all the tests. Shopping tomorrow or Friday. Will read the new ad tonight to see if I need to rush, otherwise, just Aldi’s.

Had a good day with mom and sis getting our nails done. After, we went for lunch at Olive Garden and left really stuffed. That lunch was like a dinner for me. Mom asked when are we going to Hawaii – I almost choked on my breadstick. Going to throw something quick on the stove for my husband, I will grab something later in the evening.
My husband saw his PCP today and she was happy with his recovery. She did order a cat scan to double check things from the virus. Told him to keep exercising and to slow down when he gets short of breath. All in all, a good report. Praying it stays that way.
No snow coming until Sunday/Monday but still cold. At least I can drive through cold. Stay warm by the fireplace and enjoy your evening with Poppy by your side.

How Fear Blocks Creativity
When we feel safe, our creativity unfolds like a beautiful flower.
To understand how fear blocks creativity, take a moment to imagine yourself telling a story. First, imagine telling the story to someone you love and who loves you. You probably feel warmth and energy as you fill in the details of your tale to your friend’s delight. Now, imagine telling the same story to someone who, for whatever reason, makes you uncomfortable. The wonderful twists and turns, the fine points and colorful images that unfolded in your mind for your friend probably won’t present themselves. Instead of warmth, energy, and creativity, you will probably feel opposite sensations and a desire to close down. When we feel unsafe, whether we fear being judged, disliked, or misunderstood, our creative flow stops. Alternately, when we feel safe, our creativity unfolds like a beautiful flower, without conscious effort.
Knowing this, we can maximize our creative potential by creating the conditions that inspire our creativity. In order to really be in the flow, we need to feel safe and unrestricted. However, achieving this is not as simple as avoiding people who make us feel uncomfortable. Sometimes we can be alone in a room and still feel totally blocked. When this happens, we know we have come up against elements in our own psyches that are making us feel fearful. Perhaps we are afraid that in expressing ourselves we will discover something we don’t want to know, or unleash emotions or ideas that we don’t want to be responsible for. Or maybe we’re afraid we’ll fail to produce something worthy.
When you’re up against fear, internal or external, ritual can be a powerful — and creative — antidote. Before you sit down to be creative, try casting a circle of protection around yourself. Visualize yourself inside a ring of light, protective fire, or angels. Imagine that this protective energy emanates unconditional love for you and wants to hear, see, and feel everything you have to express. Take a moment to bathe in the warmth of this feeling and then fearlessly surrender yourself to the power that flows through you. 😎
