Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Another cold day in the ‘burgh. We are awaiting the next storm that will start tomorrow night and go through Monday to Tuesday. This morning they said another 7-8 inches,❄❄ sure hope they are wrong. I can’t remember having this much snow with no melting before the next round. Maybe by June it will be gone.
I hope your niece is following Oodie’s instructions along with her doc’s. As sick as my husband was, he was determined to move. He still is not 100% but is getting close by exercising almost every day. Doc said that was good. But with asthma, I’m sure it’s hard. She is still on my prayer patrol.🙏
Stopped at mom’s today because of the weather forecast. Same as always, ate, drank and talked. She does not want to get the vaccine, ugh!😣 I think the only reason she will is if, down the road, there will be some kind of rule for traveling. Mom always wants to go somewhere and if she can’t, she will change her mind.😮
I think I will get a glass of wine and find something on TV. You, husband and Poppy stay warm snuggled together.💗🍷💗

Florida was not so sunny today. Cloudy most of the day. Temps, though, were in the 80s and will probably remain this way until the end of the week when another cold front beckons. Cold front this time will bring the temps down to 60 degrees during the day and between the mid 40s to low 50s at night.
Your niece having asthma means she will have other issues. Tell your brother that she should still take her meds for asthma and even her inhaler if needed. She has to keep her lungs open and also to be able to breathe without a problem. I don’t know if I mentioned this, but on our cruise, the only meds we brought were our vitamins, Excedrin, Benedryl, Pepto Liquid (Pepto lozenges that fitted into my crossbody along with sinus meds and nose spray. What really helped me were the sinus meds. I did use the nose spray as I needed it. Everything else in meds remained home. We thought, for sure, we wouldn’t need anything extra and if we did we would be getting off the ship and going where the locals go and look for a pharmacy. Usually the drugstores are filled with things that we need prescriptions for, so we usually get what we need and then some. The prices are better than the States and usually not taxable. But, on this trip, it taught us a huge lesson to be prepared for anything. The only time we got off the ship was the day of disembarkation. I can honestly state that the Benedryl helped to keep my tract opened, so I had no problems with my lungs except for not being able to climb the 4 flights of stairs to the Lido Deck. I managed to do half of the first and became so out of breath that I thought I would faint. But, I rested at the handles and proceeded to continue the climb anyway. Little did I know that that was the best thing I could have done. And that is why I say some calisthenics such as walking from one room to another and each day adding some extra steps. However, if it’s hard to do, then do a little, rest for awhile and do the same route again. She should walk slowly. No galloping or running. Slow movements and when able to increase the amount, still moving slowly. She will know when she is ready to go faster. But the idea is to move around anyway she can. She should also spray the rooms with a disinfectant, throw everything she wore that day into the washer. Tell her also to stay away from any foods that may cause an allergic reaction. On a cruise that is almost impossible. By Monday or Tuesday she may see some improvement and if she does to continue what she has been doing. This virus has a way to make you feel better and then, if not careful, will give you problems all over again (sometimes worse).
Last night was fun, but I have to say that last week we had not only more new faces but also more players. Hopefully, we will see them again, someday.
I am wondering if HSN took Faire’s 2 posts on their own, or if Faire asked. People were still posting and both threads were updated frequently. I wonder if we will ever know. I am just hoping and praying that both Faire and Mr. Faire are OK. Just not sure.

What’s Love Got to Do with It
Song by Tina TurnerYou must understand how the touch of your hand
Makes my pulse react
That it’s only the thrill of boy meetin’ girl
Opposites attract
It’s physical
Only logical
You must try to ignore that it means more than that
Oh oh
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second hand emotion?
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
It may seem to you that I’m acting confused
When you’re close to me
If I tend to look dazed I’ve read it someplace
I’ve got cause to be
There’s a name for it
There’s a phrase that fits
But whatever the reason you do it for me
Oh oh
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second hand emotion?
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Huh
I’ve been takin’ on a new direction
But I have to say
I’ve been thinkin’ about my own protection
It scares me to feel this way
Ho oh
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second hand emotion?
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Got to do, got to do with it
What’s love but a sweet old fashioned notion?
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Got to do
Huh, got to do with it
(What’s love but a second hand emotion?)
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
What’s love?
(Ooh, ooh)
Got to do it
Got to do it
What’s love?
(But a second hand emotion?)
Got to do
Huh, got to do with it
(What’s love but a second hand emotion?)
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken… -
