Good afternoon to you. We had the first round of the storm this morning and got 1-2 inches of snow. Second round starts around 6:00 and goes through tomorrow morning. They did lower the amount of snow but now we may have more ice. Lovely!! I have a dentist appointment so not sure if I will make it. I think we’ve had snow every day in February. I am with you, sick, sick, sick of cold and seeing white.😝

Good Afternoon. I am working on hubby’s closet. We took a couple of days off because of back problems due to Florida weather. I’m laughing at this because we have the same discussion when we are on Cape. Can you imagine how we would feel if we were there now????

So glad your niece is feeling better. This is the best news yet. Soon, the 4 legged child will be returned to a well rested “mommie.”

Seeing the word pipes, does mean more than one is an issue. I have a feeling we may be facing this problem when we return to the North. I have no idea how the inside of our homes are fairing even though our neighbors do check daily. Though the temps have not been as low as where you are, they are low enough to cause many problems. Still, not in a hurry to return just yet. I think we would go back if we didn’t have to make reservations for four days to get to the first destination. And that would be without our mini awaycation.

Try to stay warm. I am wondering if you could cover the pipes with good insulation. Would that help> A plumber mentioned this to us on some pipes that were not able to receive heat from the house. It’s a situation that we will try to remedy when we return whenever that would be.

Contracting before Expanding

It is a natural part of being, that our lives sometimes contract before expanding.

Sometimes our lives contract before they expand. We may be working hard on ourselves spiritually, doing good in the world, following our dreams, and wondering why we are still facing constrictions of all kinds — financial, emotional, physical. Perhaps we even feel as if we’ve lost our spirituality and are stuck in a dark room with no windows. We may be confused and discouraged by what appears to be a lack of progress. But sometimes this is the way things work. Like a caterpillar that confines itself to a tiny cocoon before it grows wings and flies, we are experiencing the darkness before the dawn.

When things feel tight, it’s easy to panic or want to act in some way to ease the feeling of constriction. We might also spin our wheels mentally, trying to understand why things are the way they are. However, there is nothing we need to do at this time other than to be patient and persevering. We can cling to the awareness that we are processing the shift from one stage to another, and the more we surrender to the experience, the more quickly we will move through the tightness into the opening on the other side. Just like a baby making its way down the birth canal, we may feel squeezed and pushed and very uncomfortable, but if we remember that we are on our way to being born into a new reality, we will find the strength to carry on.

Even as we endure the contractions, we can find peace within ourselves if we remember to trust the universe. We can look to the natural world for inspiration as we see that all beings surrender to the process of being born. In that surrender, and in the center of our own hearts, is a willingness to trust in the unknown as we make our way through the opening. 😎

are frozen in some places hubby is home today and trying to get things flowing. 😘

I hope you and hubby had a nice day yesterday. I am getting some shoes for Poppy I
think his feet are cold out in the snow. My poor fur baby. 💕

I am fine I had a hug wave yesterday it has passed over me now. 🌹

Enjoy a great hike today if you can I wish I could go for a hike but we have Ice and Snow.
Oz is below 0 so that long walk is not going to happen today. Waaaa…
