Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@Sheba, always love the jewelry shows and would love to see more. What a surprise. I will have to miss tomorrow’s event We are going to get away for a day or two. Hoping its just one.
Those cute dog pictures with their little shoes are adorable.
Today was on the phone then opted for the call back option, about another hour or so, then I was transferred, then I hung up and took a short hike with my hubs (wanted a long hike bit he wasn’t into it) then I called the place back and completed the call. Lucky me, this place was open late which is very unusual. Progress.Enjoy the clearance shows and be sure to let us know what you decide on.
Did anyone get the Kunzite heart ring from Gems by Michael Valitutti that sold out? It looks lovely.

“Killing Me Softly With His Song”Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his songI heard he sang a good song
I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him
To listen for a while
And there he was this young boy
A stranger to my eyesStrumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his songI felt all flushed with fever
Embarrassed by the crowd
I felt he found my letters
And read each one out loud
I prayed that he would finish
But he just kept right onStrumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his songHe sang as if he knew me
In all my dark despair
And then he looked right through me
As if I wasn’t there
And he just kept on singing
Singing clear and strongStrumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his songStrumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me (softly)He was strumming my pain
Yeah, he was singing my life
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song -

Hi Sheba;
You are right. We love coffee. Most people have liquor bars. We have a coffee bar. However, my coffee is now decaf. Acid reflux and caffeine do not mix.
Yes it is my birthday tomorrow. I will be 69!!! Whaaaat?
Okay, this is what I bought. Just two items for spring to match my Newport Chic ll necklace with enhancer which I got in Navy with a green and navy enhancer. Mind you, I got it last spring and have yet to wear it. So….to blend with it I ordered:
Bamboozled bracelet in green. 708-833
Well connected omega earrings in green 704-277.This should all worked together without being a set.
Nothing in the sale is beckoning yet and I saw a box arrive from Heidi. Jerry goes to the site.
Please stay warm.
Amy

Thank you for this information. I often wondered how Lent was celebrated and what it stood for. Thank you also for sharing. I did not know how difficult this period was and is today. You made it easy to understand.

Ok, rub it in. But, we do get the cold weather here also. Our 40s is just like the 20s in New England.. The more northern areas do go into the low 30s and the growers must use sprinklers to keep the oranges and other fruit from getting frost bite. However, if Florida ever had snow or ice I am positive everything would be closed including the roads. Floridians cannot fathom how difficult it would be just to leave their homes to shop or keep an appointment. But, on the other side, we do get the temps in the hundreds with a hundred percent humidity. Thank goodness for the invention of air conditioning not only for homes, but also retail and cars. Actually, last summer was OK for us Northerners. Very similar to Cape Cod. However, in Ct. and on Cape we have a window A/C only in the MBs. When we return I have a feeling we will be dealing with mold issues because we weren’t there. Ct. house should be OK. At least I hope.
Now here is another scenario. As cold as it is this winter is as hot it may be this summer. No happy medium for any of us. However, if it’s stays cool through April or May, chances are it will be a cool summer, but next year……HOLY TOLEDO. More records could be broken, but the good news could be that the pandemic is now behind us. At least I hope so. Right now I am concerned with Sheba and her family. Now, that’s real cold. Hope she has electricity and hope that her pipes don’t continue to freeze. And I hope you are OK as well. I remember when my parents had the poodle. He hated the ice, so we used to go out and make a path for him so he could walk freely and find a spot to do his business. It was about the only time he was let out without a leash. He hated the boots, but loved putting his paws into a lukewarm tub of water and then getting a treat once those paws were toweled dry.
Try to stay warm. My front door is opened if you want warmer climes.
