Serves: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes

Make-Ahead: Hot chocolate mixture can be made up to 1 day ahead, cooled and refrigerated. Rewarm before serving.

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/3 cup amaretto or other almond-flavored liqueur
6 tbs. Curtis Stone Decadent Hot Chocolate Mix
1 pint vanilla ice cream
3/4 cup heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks
Chocolate shavings, for garnish

Method:

In medium saucepan over medium heat, bring milk and Amaretto to near simmer. Add Curtis Stone Decadent Hot Chocolate Mix and whisk until well blended.

Place one scoop of ice cream in each of four bowls or wide-mouthed mugs.

Pour hot chocolate mixture over ice cream and top with whipped cream.

Serve immediately with spoons 😋

Glad you are finally coming out of the deep freeze. Pipes are back in order. Wondering if an electric heater would help those pipes. You don’t have to keep it on all day. Maybe an hour or two. Just a thought. Also one that has a timer.

Well, there was a knock on the door before 9am. It was our A/C tech to do his six month checkup. Then there was a tap on our window. Turned out to be our white heron looking for a hotdog. When I looked outside, he/she was on the hood of my car. Jumps up there so I could be sure to see him/her. She usually tries the lanai first. Stands at attention looking and wondering where we are. When we do not acknowledge him’/her, goes to the front and taps. You cannot say birds are not that smart.

I am still working on hubby’s closet, so the computer has not been set up as yet. The floor and shelves are done . Now working on the clothing. I cannot believe he wants to keep everything. I found a pair of white shorts that he wore many moons ago. He wants to keep it. Actually, there are tons of things that should be donated, but…….Oh, he complained he didn’t have any long-sleeved shirts. Found many. They are now all in one spot along with his rain jacket that he said he left at the Cape. I have almost half of the clothing done. I’m thinking of taking tomorrow off and take a ride or a hike somewhere. It’s a difficult process when your back doesn’t want to work with you. Just noticed we need water. A trip to Costco. Wonder if we could park in the balcony, it’s about a half mile to Costco from there. Or so it seems.
