Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@Sheba, sounds like you are getting closer to your trip to Co. Yah! they were able to get vaccinated. We can’t even think about it yet. Well, my husband and I have tossed the idea of just showing up and trying to take a spot of those who no-showed or cancelled. Today, I updated from my ancient cell phone to a new one and spent some time getting it all up and running. Tomorrow, loads of paperwork for my Mothers estate. Her cell phone company mail stated a request to change a pin #, hmmmm, can’t remember if it was me or not, but remember, her cell was stolen so I will call them about it as well.
Shoeladies wine looks delicious, well ok and Cheri’s too!
Love the childhood memories, and some nice saying.
Shout out to everyone! Hello! -
Just as I said have a great evening, all h-ll broke out. We had one brute of a thunderstorm. Weather people said we received over 3″ of rain in fifteen minutes. At the same time I noticed flashing red lights out the bedroom windows. In opening our blinds saw three fire trucks and one rescue. They were in the house next door. Thinking there was some kind of leak, I turned the A/C off, and unplugged everything in the MB and that included the cable wires. So, I joined hubby and seemed they were here for the lady next door. They are new neighbors and we have never met because of the pandemic. I returned to the house and asked hubby if everything was alright when he returned. Not the case. She past. Her young daughter lived with her and took care of her needs. That is all I know.
Our doctor appointments are in May. Right now not sure if we will change the dates. I am watching the Covid offshoots. These are now in New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. These offshoots are the ones that the CDC are really concerned with. Will be taking each day as it comes. Not taking chances. At least you and hubby can do the driving in one day. We need to stay at three or four motels which I have started to look at. At this point not sure of our usual stay in PA..

We only went to Aldi’s and well, my back gave out. Couldn’t wait to unload and pack the items in the bags I brought. We went straight home. I did put everything away. Ok, one thing I really noticed is that they had the red oranges . The price was low or so I thought. Took a look at the oranges and they were extremely small. Our favorite market had these as well, but they were huge and only a $1 more. Sorry, no dragon fruit.
I decided to check on the status of our vaccine sign-up. Went to their website and when I put our names in there was nothing. Somehow or other all our info was lost. So I did it again. This time, at the end, we received a number so that we cah check to see where we are in line. There are more forms to complete which I will download tonight. For now, there is only the Pfizer vaccine . The other two have to be ordered (Moderna and Johnson). We both decided on the Moderna which may have less side effects and is also able to stop some of the offshoots.
We are about to get hit with 45 mph winds and thunderstorms. Bye bye to the humidity and cooler temps rolling in for the weekend. Then, back to the 80s beginning Monday. Oh, tomorrow we will do the regular shopping. Should be home in time for trivia.
Have a great evening.

The ‘burgh has the same weather as Oz, rainy and chilly.🌧 Didn’t sleep good last night, Jake and I were up at 5AM😔 so I feel a nap may be coming, especially in this weather. I will probably get back to painting tomorrow.
You know me, I will take green or whatever color you want to send over. I enjoy the Marla quotes. Another hockey game tonight. The team has a lot of players hurt🙁 so I just say oh well and take a sip.🥴 You and Poppy cuddle up and stay warm. I just wiped off big Jake for about the third time today – he is wagging a wet tail your way.💚

Remembering Childhood Joys
Fun isn’t something that is given or done to you, it is something that you allow yourself to experience
As adults, we often get so caught up in “grown up” business that we can forget how to have pure fun. This isn’t the kind of fun that comes from doing a specific kind of activity or being in a specific mood for fun. Rather, this is the fun born from the state of pure being. You see this kind of fun in small children who are so busy being fully present to their lives and in their own bodies that the glow of fun radiates from them just because they are alive: the delight that flashes across the eyes of a child who discovers that water flows with the turn of the tap knob or the squeal of pleasure from a young baby whose tongue is being tickled by cold ice cream; then there’s the full, infectious laughter of a child watching the same hat trick for the fiftieth time.
Back when we were children, this experience of pure delight didn’t have to come from a heightened, heady event in order for us to feel like our day had been made; and it can be that way for us again — if we are willing to remember and reconnect with that part of ourselves that knows how to be in the flow of fun. You can begin this process by reminiscing on what was fun for you as a child. Think about what caused you to giggle in delight or wriggle in pleasure or burst into endless laughter that you couldn’t sit up straight no matter how much you wanted to. Try to spend a few moments with each memory, and really feel what it was like to be in those experiences — allowing that feeling of pure fun to wash over you. It lives, in you — that feeling. It can’t be bottled, manufactured, or sold. You just have to call it back up in order to experience it again.
Pure fun happens when we are fully engaged with ourselves and our world in each moment. It is the spontaneous delight that bubbles out of us when we let go long enough to bring it through; it is the experience of natural, organic pleasure that springs up from our bellies, through our souls, up through our faces, and down to our toes. We’ve naturally known how to have pure fun since we were babies and the flicker of lights caused us to jump to attention from the sheer enjoyment of being able to see. Approach your life today with the knowledge that pure fun isn’t something that is given or done to you; rather, it is something that you allow yourself to experience. 😎
