Conversation – 16

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Emotion
Song by Bee GeesIt’s over and done but the heartache lives on inside
And who’s the one you’re clinging to instead of me tonight
And where are you now
Now that I need you
Tears on my pillow wherever you go
I’ll cry me a river that leads to your ocean
You never see me fall apart
In the words of a broken heart
It’s just emotion that’s taken me over
Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul
But if you don’t come back
Come home to me, darling
You know that there’ll be nobody left in this world to hold me tight
Nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight
Goodnight
Goodnight
I’m there at your side, I’m part of all the things you are
But you’ve got a part of someone else
You’ve got to find your shining star
And where are you now, now that I need you
Tears on my pillow wherever you go
I’ll cry me a river that leads to your ocean
You never see me fall apart
In the words of a broken heart
It’s just emotion that’s taken me over
Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul
But if you don’t come back
Come home to me, darling
You know that there’ll be nobody left in this world to hold me tight
Nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight
Goodnight
In the words of a broken heart
It’s just emotion that’s taken me over
Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul
But if you don’t come back
Come home to me, darling
You know that there’ll be nobody left in this world to hold me tight
Nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight
In the words of a broken heart
It’s just emotion that’s taken me over
Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul
But if you don’t come back
Come home to me, darling

I’ve done some damage and I made sure I paid for everything with CASH! 😘😎
I don’t think I need anything else unless it knocks my socks off. 🤣
Taci this is what I make up everyday this is my bedding. I brought some of it at
Tuesday Morning and Horchow. Great bargain and I have three bedrooms.See why I take a break and do this thread. 😎

Sheba, we are cold and rainy here too! Hiked with a friend and we were sprinkled on a bit but it was nice to get out. On the Clever Carriage item, I told myself if I got an HSN coupon then I would buy it and sure enough one showed up and I have to keep promises, right? 🙂
I have been searching to id a jewelry hallmark on on 3 of my Mother pieces, so will probably go to a jeweler locally at some point.
Hope you enjoyed Heidi yesterday. I watched.
Have fun in the arcade tonight! -
I guess I forgot to answer your question on TCM. Yes, I was able to get the movies “on demand.” We both found one to view and it was so boring we decided to watch it another day/night. Great cast. But now that we both know there are others to watch it will definitely be our to go area instead of watching the news. Thanks for brining this to our attention. I guess I was in the mood for “Brigadoon.” Riverdance is coming here in the late fall. Going to try to get tickets. We’ve seen this show a few times and each time there have been different variations.
Still no answer on Trivia. I surmise we will find out at 8 pm tomorrow night. Great customer service on the Arcade Team.. I hope you know I’m being facetious.

Good Afternoon. Cloudy, but not cool in Florida. Temp will be in the mid to high 80s today. No rain in sight. Back is feeling better so guess the aches and pains are due to weather changes.
No, computer is not on auto. It was doing it’s own thing. I would type a letter, and it would type something else. It was real crazy. I tried to erase what it had done and it would just keep the letter There was no erasing anything. So, I cancelled the post several times. Finally, I gave up and just let whatever happen to stay in there. It had a mind of it’s own.
I was never a fruit eater. Hated it. Most of the time it was so sour I would throw the entire thing out. Then, came Florida and for the most part I stayed away until free samples were offered. And then, just like that I turned around. I adore trying new flavors and different things. I surmise when we are North, it will be back to the doldrums. Nothing is as tasty as when you purchase fresh and direct from the grower. We purchased a honeydew melon and the taste, the flavor, is out of this world. I’ve never had a honeydew quite like this. Hubby wants my winter melon soup and I will use some of this for an added flavor. I love cooking with fruit. For instance I had some chicken and pork which I sometimes use as a stir fry, but for some reason decided to air fry. Added dragon fruit and oh my, the juices intermingled and it was so very tasty. The one thing I do not purchase is orange juice in a container. Hubby loves it. But, it does not taste like the sweet oranges I am used to in Florida. Then I read on line where the people like the ownership from Tropicana will store the containers on a shelf for six months or more to give it time to ferment. Therefore, to me, it isn’t fresh, it’s stale. Besides, this also means there are preservatives in that juice as well. What I do not need is a food reaction.
Guess the computer is being extra quiet. Things are back to where they should be. My Kindle does the same thing. Only difference is that it makes a complete sentence. Yes, on it’s own. Without my help. Eerie things happen all the time here.

The Greater Cause
Imagine what a different world we would live in, if we all worked toward the greater good.
With all that takes place in our lives, it can sometimes be easy to overlook the fact that we’re part of something greater than ourselves — a collective consciousness, the Universe, a greater cause. Because of our tendency to forget this, we might make decisions in our lives that don’t reflect that responsibility that comes with this belonging. All too often, we focus just on the short-term, tangible gain to ourselves without worrying about its consequences. Other times, we may discard the greater cause because it seems like “hard work.” The challenge is to expand our minds so that we transcend the distinction between self and others, so we are aware of how our choices and actions can impact a greater cause.
Contributing to the greater cause doesn’t have to be all about self-sacrifice. For example, if you plant a tree in a community space, its shelter will cool and protect you as well as your neighbors. Or, your reward might be in the form of the beauty that you now see in that space or the sincere smiles of appreciation from neighbors. When you serve the greater cause you also serve your greater good. There is nothing that you cannot do for your highest good that will not benefit the good of all. For example, saying no to a relationship that isn’t right for you not only benefits you but serves the greater good of the other person that you are honoring with your honesty. Saying yes to your dream job not only fulfills you but also serves the people that will benefit from your enthusiasm and productivity.
When you know you are serving a greater cause, there is little room for fear and doubt. You know that what you do will benefit others, so there is no way the universe is not going to support your efforts — even if sometimes it may not look that way. Serving the greater cause allows you to live from the space of your greatness. When you know that what you do can serve a greater cause, you are aware of your power and ability to influence and create change in this world. 😎
