Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

The dogs are oh, so cute!!🐩🐶 You find the most adorable pics. They are all welcome to come visit me during any season. Sounds like we have the same weather. Tomorrow and Thursday a little nicer.
Wow, I would have loved to see the sky at your BIL’s funeral. That has to be a sign that he is entering a new life. I can just picture how beautiful it must have been.🙏🙌 Hold that in your heart.💖
Having some pine trees taken out tomorrow.🌲🌲 Again, I want one bush in my next house. I should never have built a house in the forest and I’ve lived here too long that the trees are dying and/or the ground is eroding. Oh well, what else do I have to do tomorrow??🙄

The ENT gave me a regimen to follow. I can definitely try hearing aids even though, at this time, she feels it may be a waste of time. For the next four to six weeks use the nasal spray daily, take my sinus meds and to try holding my nose and swallowing a sip or two of water. These tiny things may even help the tooth/molar that I am currently having problems with. The Root Canal Specialist explained this to me. Most people have a flap or several flaps that protect the tooth from getting infected. In my case these are missing and may have occurred when the dentist removed some teeth to make room for braces and to give me more mouth room. Having measles as a young child didn’t help as well as severe sore throats. Actually, when i mentioned Manuka Honey the ENT smiled and stated that is what she recommends to her patients. From what I have been reading, surgery may help, but only for a short duration. There are no guarantees with surgery as this can return at any time when one has an infection. I feel that finally I am on the right track. Well, here’s the other scenario. I cannot drive the 1300+ miles North at this time because hubby needs to walk around every 50-60 miles. So, prior to my appointment I contacted the doctor’s office to see if he could fly. Still waiting. But, now on one hand I am laughing, on the other I’m shedding tears. I cannot fly because of the Eustachian blockage. If it isn’t one thing, it is another. So be it.
Hubby is OK. Knee and lower back is bothering him. I surmise tomorrow we will be feeling the effects of the next storm which is due Thursday. I had all intention of doing laundry today , but fell asleep instead.
Tomorrow we have several stops to make. One is Ollie’s. I hope you have one near you. I love this store and have been going to there retail sites for many many years. The first time was in PA. Found Ollie’s in York, Pa. and so whenever we did a detour to Lancaster that was always one of our places to stop. Then we found another store on a trip South using I-95 in Perryville, MD.. And now, they are just a few miles from our home in Florida. Actually there are several near us. They have a wonderful book selection as well as an Inspirational section. Puzzle and Logic and now coloring books for adults. Hubby likes the clothing area where he can pick up work clothes as needed. Of course they also sell linens, comforters, silverware, and pet supplies. Guess we will need to stop tomorrow since we are now out of bug spray. I just wish they would sell their outdoor pottery year round.
Hope the rest of your day is wonderful. A pet to Poppy . Oh, before I forget. I love poodles. I grew up with several as pets that all had different personalities. Wouldn’t mind finding one someday or a yorkie or a crossbreed. Looks like I may need one when the doorbell no longer works or hears the phone before I do. And that reminds me. Went to use the phone in the kitchen and found it went MIA.

Good Afternoon to you Sheba, I feel kinda lazy today. How are you doing? We did get a good night and half a day of wonderful rain. Today we have the usual full sun, with temperatures in the 80’s. I do miss this time of season, when I lived in Washington, D.C. I would go to Maryland and Virginia on outings and fun things to do and the colors are beautiful. Yesterday I made some more soup, and I made some cheese bread. A small amount, which give only six medium size rolls. I shared three with my nextdoor neighbor, and devoured the other three with my soup.
I might make some more today. Take care Sheba, enjoy your fireplace and the fall colors. -
Stuck in the Mud
Pain can serve as one of life’s great teachers, but it’s vital to move through it and not become stuck.
Pain comes and it goes. It is just one component to the grand cycle of life. And when experienced as such, pain can serve as an important teacher. It is when we get stuck in our pain that it becomes detrimental to our well-being and development. If you notice that you feel closed-off, resentful, heavy-hearted, or that you try very hard to avoid being hurt again, there may be a part of you that is still stuck in pain.
We can get stuck in our pain for many reasons. As children, it was natural for us to cry, throw a tantrum, and let the experience move through us. By fully feeling our pain in this way, our emotions would wash us clean, leaving us open and available to new experiences. With age, though, we might have determined that expressing emotion was no longer appropriate, and so we developed a variety of coping strategies to deal with our discomfort. We may have learned to stuff our feelings down or to run away from them. Perhaps we began thinking that staying closed and unwilling to try new things would keep us safe from heartbreak, safe from rejection, and safe from failure. We may have even gotten so used to being in pain that the thought of being without it scares us. But, if we continue to hold onto it longer than necessary, we are expending a lot of energy that could instead be channeled into making our life experiences more positive.
If you notice that you are continually connecting with the same familiar patterns of pain, consider embracing your feelings and letting go of your hurt. Whether your pain is from childhood or from an experience last week, see if you can give it room to move. When it does, you will reconnect with a wonderful source of your own vital energy. Amen! ✨✨
