Conversation – 16

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi there. Well, I made a phone call to our health center to see if I could also get the vaccine with hubby on Saturday. She said that it wasn’t possible because they allocate the vaccines to the number of appointments. I just have to wait my turn. Guess the middle of May now is the end of May for the earliest possible time to leave. However, that all depends upon what we are up against with the pandemic.
Sounds like you had a beautiful early Easter morning. I am sure you were scared out of your wits, but, happier for attending an early morning service where most people decide to sleep in. Here, they do have an early service and I suspect, as usual, it was held on the beach. I know that some of our Sabbath services are on the beach as well. We will do that when things are a little safer and both of us had the two doses.
No, the cleaning isn’t done. It has been one thing after another with hubby. Now it’s a real bad back ache and I fear surgery may be in his future. Not sure if we will look for an orthopedic surgeon here or wait until we are at the other home. I would surmise that with all the baseball winter warmups that some good people may be here. I also wonder with the number of times he has fallen out of bed did some damage. I may start here and then get a second opinion or more North. We shall see. Meanwhile he has been spending loads of time in bed and doesn’t move so I can do the job. If things change I could be done with all the cleaning in two/three weeks tops.
The only scary thing that bothers both of us heading North is staying at the motels/hotels. cleanliness will depend upon the staff doing the cleaning process. Some chains are better than others, but still not 100%. We’ll make that decision about two weeks prior to leaving.
Sorry to hear about Poppy. I know those thorns you are speaking of. They are nasty. Best advice I have is to try to cut those bushes as far back as you can. Pulling them by the roots is a big help, but you will need someone who knows the hows to give you a hand. Cutting the thorns is a good temporary fix. In a matter of days, they grow back again. Glad to know Poppy is OK and your neighbor was able to be there at the right time. By the way how is Bella?

Howdy Miss Sheba 😘🌻
Good Monday to you. I hope you had a wonderful Easter.
First things first, I am happy to hear your Poppy is doing better. What a horrible experience for him and you. Our fur babies mean the world to us and it hurts our heart to see them in pain or scared. I know you showered him with lots of TLC afterwards.
We had a quiet Easter Sunday—Hubby, Sister and I. We hadn’t seen her in awhile, so it was great that we got together at her house for dinner. We talked and decided that we all are ready for a road trip to Ruidoso. We will leave in 2 weeks and stay gone for 2 weeks.
This is the first Monday I’ve been home. It’s so funny you mentioned seeing the Grandson. Well, that is exactly what I have been doing. Long story short, I’ve been driving back and forth on weekends to Houston to help my DIL out with a babysitting issue during the week. She had Day Care all lined up beginning April 1st but her temporary sitter just quit in March. Her Mom just went back to work and couldn’t take off, so my son called me and asked if I could help out til April. I talked to DIL and worked it out. I was happy to help but ever so glad to be home now. I’m telling you that little one is 2 handfuls!!!😂😂. He is almost 19 mos old and every bit a happy and energetic little boy. I have never been so tired but truly I loved every minute I spent with him.
Hubby, Sister and I did get our 2nd Pfizer COVID vaccination on March 24th. My Sister did not have any reaction other than a sore arm. I was fatigued for a day but Hubby had a slight fever/chills and fatigue. He was ok in a couple of days. I am just glad we all got them and that is now over.
I have a much needed hair appointment this Friday for a cut and highlights.
Jewel and Little D send Poppy their love and happy he is doing better..
Hugs to you Sheba❤️
(the spa bath looks wonderful…..don’t mind if I do 😊) -
Good afternoon my friend. Glad you had a happy Easter. We had beautiful weather and me, hubs and mom enjoyed some afternoon delight. It was great to have mom over so she wouldn’t be by herself. I love her dearly and worry so much when my sister isn’t here watching over her.
Poor Poppy, I can feel his pain. I’ve had dogs that got stung by bees, toenails pulled off, broken legs, skin conditions, etc., etc. I think we hurt more than them. Jake feels so bad and is sending Poppy some treats, biscuits and frosty paws.
I’m taking it easy today, have leftovers for dinner. I have a few projects this week before mom Friday. I know you are getting ready for spring planting.🌺🌻🌼

Manic Monday
Song by The BanglesSix o’clock already
I was just in the middle of a dream
I was kissin’ Valentino
By a crystal-blue, Italian stream
But I can’t be late
‘Cause then I guess I just won’t get paid
These are the days
When you wish your bed was already made
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
My I don’t have to run day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic Monday
Have to catch an early train
Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an aeroplane
I still couldn’t make it on time
‘Cause it takes me so long (Oh, oh)
Just to figure out what I’m gonna wear
Blame it on the train
But the boss is already there
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
My I don’t have to run day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic Monday
Of all my nights
Why did my lover have to pick last night
To get down?
(Last night, last night)
Doesn’t it matter
That I have to feed the both of us?
Employment’s down
He tells me in his bedroom voice
C’mon honey, let’s go make some noise
Time it goes so fast
(When you’re having fun)
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
My I don’t have to run day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic Monday (Woah, woah)
I wish it was Sunday (Woah, woah, woah, woah)
‘Cause that’s my fun day (Woah, woah)
It’s just another manic Monday -

Accessing the World Within
Guided meditation is a wonderful way to start a meditation practice and can be deeply relaxing.
A guided meditation uses the sound of a person’s voice to direct you through an inner process of relaxing your body and shifting your mind’s focus. The voice may be a person in the room with you or a recording–even something downloaded from the internet–and it is generally spoken in soothing, soft tones. You may be guided to focus on aspects of your physical body, such as on your breathing, relaxing your muscles one-by-one, or on an area in need of healing. Sometimes it might involve visualizing a journey through the beauty of the natural world. Other times, you may be led to envision yourself working with light or energy, accomplishing your goals, or repeating positive thoughts in your head. Your guide may walk you through relaxation or motivation to help you change a habit, access untapped potential, or perhaps merely to find the silence within you.
Whether you are familiar with meditation or you are a beginner, being guided gives you the opportunity to benefit from the insight of others. There are numerous meditation and visualization techniques based in various spiritual philosophies and psychological applications. You may want to try several techniques to see what appeals to you the most, or just to gain a fresh perspective.
Guided meditation allows you to learn from others in a way that is similar to ones used by ancients the world over. Once learned, meditation is a tool that will always be available to you. Like having a tour guide while traveling in a foreign country, a guided meditation takes you on an inner journey. But this tour allows you to see and experience your own inner world, a place that truly only exists within you. The scenes created in your mind’s eye can be revisited at anytime, without a guide, because once you have seen the fascinating landscape of your own inner terrain, there will always be more to explore. 😎🌹

Poppy got a long rose thorn get caught on his hairs and was in pain I am going to have
my husband find that thing and cut it off wherever it is in the backyard. 😎I ran to my neighbor who is a surgical nurse and she knew exactly what to do it took both
of us to cut the thing off of Poppy. I had to hold him close to me she climbed the fence and
within two minutes it was off now Poppy sometimes get these thorns on him and I can handle
it by myself these were long and I was sitting on the patio with him this morning and he
ran straight to me and I saw the problem. Anyway he is fine now.Just another manic Monday. 🤣
