What you witnessed at your BIL’s funeral is unbelievable and so beautiful. All I can say is that your BIL traveled from wherever he was to be with family and friends. I believe if you looked around that day you just may have been a couple of individuals that may have been strangers to you and those who attended. That door you mentioned in the clouds reminds me of the time that hubby and I were driving someplace. I saw something similar. The clouds opened up into a place that was just magnificent.. It was the bluest ski I have ever seen that went beyond our world. My thought was that someone was coming for me and I prayed that it wasn’t my time. With that the clouds came together but the beauty beyond is everlasting.

We will be under the “gun” tomorrow with a storm which will bring a cool down. The weather people are calling it a cold front. But the temps will be in the 70s and the lows at night will be in the 60s. Heard from our neighbors on the Cape that there was a terrible storm that left trees down and no electricity from early in the morning. There is a huge branch in our driveway. Not sure if the town will take care of that, but I do have someone that checks our house and will mention the limb and to see if the tree should be removed. I am sure the Cape Cod Times” will have tons of photos. ” I will check later. Right now getting the garbage ready for pickup tomorrow (not sure if they will be out and about).

Didn’t go out today. Hubby was hurting, and it quite a walk for him from where the car is parked to the front door. Instead, I made him help me around the house. Not to worry, I didn’t play “sarge.”

Hubby is doing good though he does go backwards every now and then. Funny, though, he realizes when it happens and we both laugh.

Words Have Weight

The more conscious we become, the more we deepen our relationship to the words we choose to use.

Words carry energy and this gives language its power and its potential to heal or hurt. Most of us can remember a time that someone sent a word our way, and it stuck with us. It may have been the first time we received a truly accurate compliment, or the time a friend or sibling called us a name, but either way it stuck. This experience reminds us that what we say has weight and power and that being conscious means being aware of how we use words.

The more conscious we become, the more we deepen our relationship to the words we use so that we speak from a place of actually feeling what we are saying. We begin to recognize that words are not abstract, disconnected entities used only to convey meaning; they are powerful transmitters of feeling. For the next few days, you might want to practice noticing how the words you say and hear affect your body and your emotional state. Notice how the different communication styles of the people in your life make you feel. Also, watch closely to see how your own words come out and what affect they have on the people around you.

You may notice that when we speak quickly, without thinking, or rush to get our ideas across, our words don’t carry the same power as when we speak slowly and confidently, allowing those receiving our words time and space to take them in. When we carefully listen to others before we speak, our words have more integrity, and when we take time to center ourselves before speaking, we truly begin to harness the power of speech. Then our words can be intelligent messengers of healing and light, transmitting deep and positive feelings to those who receive them. ✨😎 Amen!
