Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Thanks for saying I’m awesome, but really, any person, any wife, any best friend would go to heaven and earth to help that friend. What I did do was read the ingredients on Neriva, Predigen, etc.. Then I checked out GNC and other vitamin places to see what was out there and those ingredients. There were some similarities and because of that my last stop was Andrew Lessman. I found two or three pertaining to the brain. He not only had some of the same ingredients but some added ones. I decided to give them a try. It has taken months, but everything seems to be coming together. Since hubby is not a red meat eater I also added iron which he takes once or twice per week. I didn’t realize that there were so many other things that now can be attributed to this disease. It is mind boggling to say the least.

Oodie, there are things very unique to the advanced elderly population and I wish every Dr. / hospital medical facility used a checklist to eliminate these things 1st. It would save a lot of time and heartache.

Sheba, sorry about all the stress. Glad being outside and moving helps. When my son was a baby and upset or crying, I always took him out in the backyard. Worked like a pacifier (which he would never take).
Wish you could get the mam sooner and be done with it. Maybe ask them to call you of they get an opening? -
You should never regret what happened to your dad. I understand completely what you went through. What happened to my hubby was that the anesthetic wore off before the posts were in place. There were three areas left and the periodontist felt that the areas he was working in would not help using an anesthetic so he kept on working and when my husband complained he didn’t listen. Consequently, the pain was unbearable. Though there was medication following, the office staff neglected to call it in and the doctor went on his merry way to his home on Nantucket. It wasn’t until the next day when I mentioned contacting our attorney that something could be done. That is after they said they couldn’t reach him and I argued that he must have a cell. It was our regular dentist who helped. Anyway, yes, dementia does run in his family. His mother was diabetic and was blind due to the diabetes. She also had paranoia and dementia. However, so far, knock on wood, hubby is starting to overcome the dementia. Yes, I know this could be short lived. But, if this is from covid, then there is a good chance that this is not permanent. That is what I hope and pray for. For now, as of today, things are on a up swing.
What deblyn went through with her mom’s home is exactly what happened to me. I had no help in going through things. I also had over 50 years of accumulation that included a full basement and full attic. I donated plenty. Hubby rented a truck. He and a friend loaded the truck and the next day my hubby drove that truck to the Cape while I followed in our vehicle. Being an only child my cousins were too busy or lived too far away to give a hand. I had to do everything on my own. However, when we arrived at the house on Cape and started unloading a neighbor across the way came over and introduced herself. She asked who was unloading and I told her. She asked that we stop for a few minutes while she went home. She returned moments later with her husband and son. The truck was unloaded in no time. We have been friends ever since.
All I am going to say here is that I am glad that you have the best physicians. Being in the Northeast I always felt Boston was the best as well as New York. Over the years I have come to realize that there are other places that may be better. Kansas and maybe Texas are the two I am watching at the moment. You are fine because of whom you chose and the physicians you chose do tons of reading, research and keep up on things. You are better because of them. Florida, I feel is a little laxed in this area. You are also intelligent and ask tons of questions. You had the answers to help with your decisions. You also knew other physicians who gave second opinions (OK maybe third and fourth). Not many patients will take the time to do this as well.
The reading I did took only a few days. The information more than needed. I still feel that Deblyn should go ahead with a mam and ultrasound. If she had surgery in that area it could even be scar tissue. But the answers she needs will only come after all the tests are completed. ,Hopefully, everything is benigh. But we still need those tests to be absolutely sure.
We did take a ride to the Farmer’s Market. I bought half of what I usually purchase. Tomorrow we will have a picnic on the lanai. We haven’t done that in quite a while. I still have tons of laundry from the bureaus and closets. But, that is one basket full. I do keep quilts in the car and those will be washed as well. Tomorrow Costco for water. Then back to cleaning. Now that hubby is better I have the extra pair of hands that is so needed. Talk to you later.
