Sheba, oh no, a doggie emergency sounds absolutely scary. Poppy is in good hand with you and your husband. How are you now? Hope Poppy is doing better. Keep us all updated.
We had one hot day here buy managed a short hike. My house is rather full with boxes and Mom’s stuff downstairs.

I washed the fabric on the dining room chairs instead of opting to purchase new material or having someone reupholster. I think the fabric is linen. At least that’s my guess. Anyway, I decided to give cleaning myself a try before venturing out and about. I placed two capfuls of woollite in a sauce pan of hot water. I dabbed the edge of a bathroom towel into the pan and lightly scrubbed the entire seat. All the stains went poof. The fabric is dry and there is no residue and no edges dirty. It dried perfectly. The chairs look brand new. So exciting. Just had to post this.

Sheba how is Poppy? Please keep me posted. Since he isn’t supposed to do a great deal of walking, you may want to carry him to his favorite spot in the backyard. Poor baby. Give him extra light pats from me.

I never want to feel that helpless I did not want him to feel I just left him. I just stared
at the moon outside and soon it was over. I wish I knew how to give him his medicine.

Hubby said he will do it when he gets home. 😘I am keeping a close eye on him.

OMG Sheba, what a night for Hubby, you and especially sweet Poppy. I’m so relieved to hear they could treat him and thank God he could come home. 🙏. He’ll be better soon under your loving care and medication.
I remember last year when we had to take Little D to the Vet ER late one evening. He started coughing and gagging and it got worse like he had something lodged in his throat. I felt the same way, in that it is a long lonely wait for them to call with news. I just hate not being able to go in with them. I cried when they took him from me and him looking at me with those sad brown eyes. He ended out being ok and they couldn’t find any reason for it.
Sheba, you and Poppy rest today and have a quiet and healing weekend. Our fur babies mean the world to us. Please keep us posted on Poppy as my 2 munchkins and me send healing thoughts. 😘❤️

O my, my heart is beating so fast thinking of Poppy and what you had to go through last night.😪 I worry even when Jake goes to get groomed because I am not there to watch how he is handled and treated. Thank goodness he is home and comfortable. I’m sure you are exhausted🥱 mentally and physically so try to have a nothing day except for watching Poppy.💖🐶

Mom is feeling fine today and was going for her hair appointment. She never complains.🥰

Jake is sending nose rubs and tail wags to Poppy.💗🐕‍🦺💗 He was online looking for a plane ticket to Oz.🙏

I left you a note last night/early am. Been busy getting house in order and deciding what needs to go North. Finally have a spot near the front door for these things so it will be easy access to the van when the time comes for packing.

The dining area is just about finished. Had to stop because the back gave out. I actually took a time out to empty two cabinets for deep, thorough cleaning. I have quite a few more to go, but these will be a good start. Once this and the kitchen bar area are done will move back to the MB.

So sorry about Poppy. Did the vet say what caused the pain. Sounds almost like a slipped disk which happens (so I’ve been told) to the smaller breeds. All they have to do is slip a bit when walking or running. At least he is small enough to be carried. Or, beginnings of arthritis. I’ve seen the pet buggies at the Pet Stores. They even have carriers that can be used to keep your hands free. Gee, whiz, at our age we are back to having babies…LOL. I hope you can hide the medication in the food. My poodle used to find them and eat around them. Finally resorted to manually giving him the meds. Easy when you know what to do. Keep us posted on how he is doing.

Back is now feeling better. Back to work I go.

Feeling Lost

The beauty of being lost is the same thing that makes it scary — we must look within ourselves to find the way

When we are lost, we typically look at a map to figure out where we are and how to get to our chosen destination. This works well, assuming there is a map of the territory in which we find ourselves and we know our destination. However, this is not always the case. At this time in human history, we are all venturing into uncharted territory, whether we know it or not. And as individuals, we may find ourselves covering ground that our predecessors never even knew existed. When we look to them for guidance, they often come up short. Not knowing exactly where we are, we find ourselves unsure of which way to go, and eventually the uneasy feeling that we are lost presents itself.

The beauty of being lost is the same thing that makes it scary — it asks us to look within ourselves to find the way. If we have no map, we must go on instinct, relying on our inner compass to show us which way to go. This can be scary because so much seems to be riding on it. We fear we might go too far in the wrong direction or become paralyzed and make no progress at all. Yet, this is the very challenge we need to develop our ability to trust ourselves. We are also learning to trust that the universe will support and guide us. We may believe this intellectually, but it is only through experience that it becomes knowledge of the heart. Learning to be okay with being lost and trusting that we will be guided, we begin our journey.

We can support ourselves by confirming that we don’t need to know exactly where we are going in order to take our first steps. We are learning to feel our own way, rather than following an established path, and in doing so we learn to trust ourselves. It is this trust that connects us to the universe and reminds us that no matter how lost we feel as we journey, on the inner level we are already home. 😎🌹
