I hope your husband improve I just hate you being alone doing everything.

I will be glad when you get back to the North but at least you have A/C.

We just turned the heat off this weekend and I have no plans to turn it back on until
winter.

I took a hot shower and washed my hair and I feel free as a bird we are about to have
a thunderstorm so I am logging off a wee bit early. 😎

It is a gorgeous day in Florida. We had a little shower earlier but not enough to end the drought. After today it will become very muggy and temps will be in the high 90s. All I can say is, thank goodness for A/C.

I didn’t get anything accomplished today. I thought hubby had paid some bills, but I happened to be at the desk and found several had not been touched. I will take some time later to check on papers to see if anything has yet to be paid. I also took a giant leap and started him on Prevagen. People swear by it, so along with Andrew, we shall see how things go.

The bar area in the Kitchen looks amazing. Even the cabinets are spic and span. I just have to do the outside, but will wait until I finish the others. It’s just the bar stools and the floor area which I may do this evening.

You do not need to thank me for the prayers and the spoonbill. What are friends for if they cannot accommodate a friend when he or she needs a helping hand. We all need that from time to time. And missing your dad, all normal. There is never a day that goes by that I do not think of mine. However, what I don’t miss are the times he couldn’t do the things he loved most because of his heart. Where he is now he has no pain and can run like the wind. I see my dad in the butterfly that flits by my den window. I see mom when the dove comes to visit the Cape house. I see both my parents when there is a rainbow overhead letting me know that all is fine. When the light flickers, I know someone is visiting and I usually say hello. It also makes me feel better to know they are around even though I cannot see them.

I just looked at the time. Better start dinner. Stay well. Stay safe.

Beautiful, sunny day in the ‘burgh.🌞 It will be getting hotter as the week goes on. I foresee the A/C starting around Thursday as my Jake will not be comfortable with all his fur. Whatever he needs.💓

Hockey playoffs are in full swing🏒 so there will probably be three games on each day/night. That will take care of my TV viewing for a couple weeks. My husband did go to the driving range this morning as he has some household work to do this afternoon instead of the golf course.⛳ I have a robin’s nest in my rhododendron and am enjoying watching mom and dad guard the nest and bring in food. Every time I walk out on my deck, one of them flies to the fence pole and watches me, so cute!🥰

I am waiting for my doctor’s office to schedule an appointment. I could not breathe
while I was getting the mammogram and when it was over I never walked so fast out
the door. My doctor’s office is in another location. 😘😎

Honoring All Experiences

It is important when pain comes our way to honor the experience, as it is usually a great teacher.

Honoring the experiences we have in our lives is an invaluable way to communicate with life, our greatest teacher. We do this when we take time at night to say what we are thankful for about our day and also when we write in a journal. Both of these acts involve consciously acknowledging the events of our lives so that they deepen our relationship to our experiences. This is important because it brings us into closer connection with life, and with the moment. Only when we acknowledge what’s happening to us can we truly benefit from life’s teachings.

It is especially important when pain comes our way to honor the experience, because our natural tendency is to push it away and move past it as quickly as possible. We tend to want to brush it under the rug. Yet, if we don’t, it reveals itself to be a great friend and teacher. As counterintuitive as it seems, we can honor pain by thanking it and by welcoming it into the space of our lives. We all know that often the more we resist something, the longer it persists. When we honor our pain, we do just the opposite of resisting it, and as a result, we create a world in which we can own the fullness of what life has to offer.

We can honor a painful experience by marking it in some way, bringing ourselves into a more conscious relationship with it. We might mark it by creating a work of art, performing a ritual, or undertaking some other significant act. Sometimes all we need to do is light a candle in honor of what we’ve gone through and what we’ve learned. No matter how small the gesture, it will be big enough to mark the ways in which our pain has transformed us, and to remind us to recognize and value all that comes our way in this life. This year is a testament to that pain. 😎

a sweet friend you asked when I will get my Vaccine and I am waiting for the phone to
ring from my Primary Care Physician to call and schedule an appointment. I need to
see her anyway. 😎

I hope this is a good day for you and Jake. I think hubby may be playing Gulf. 😎

Yay your mom will get her second vaccine Thursday. 💕🌹 I will let you know what my

this thing call life. 😎I do appreciate all that you do for me. How are you doing?

I know the Hikes helps I just feel there is something there and I think I know what it
is. I had a wave this morning as I do every morning that I sit in the morning light
on the outdoor Patio with Poppy. I always look for the butterfly. 😘💕I am here for
you if you should need me to talk. I miss my father more than I can say.😘

The sun is out and Poppy and I have had a ball this morning. Hubby is at work my

I did some New York things in Club Sheba I hope there was something you like.
I could live in New York City as long there is music and the Theater. I could have
tea with Iris Apfel and Iman. 😘 New Jersey is not far and I could have lunch with
Heidi Daus just to hear her laugh. 😘😎

I slept for the first time in days last night I hit the floor with a vigor I had not had in a minute.

Oodie thank you for your thoughts and prayers yesterday I had a moment when I was alone
in the room waiting for results and that is where those prayers come in. 😘💕
