Conversation – 16

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi. Sorry to in, but I also enjoyed MTM. I can go back to one of her first sitcoms and that was with Dick VanDyke who is still dancing in his 90s. I should be so lucky.
I also enjoy Chaco Canyon. In all the times that you have been to Arizona, did you ever go into Navajo country? It’s really beautiful and the jewelry absolutely gorgeous. They not only to do gemstones, but their artwork with the different colors of sand is something to behold. I think the sand came from the “painted desert.” Sorry now that I didn’t purchase one or two.

God forbid you should go out in the rain, You’ll melt/freeze depending upon the temps. LOL 🤣
I do not think the spoonbill would like the North. Temps are too cold. By the way, our spoonbill is on the small side. Could be a young bird. So cute. I’ll pick up some additional shrimp from Aldi’s. Maybe some hotdogs for his friends.
I’m hoping that this gas crisis will be over soon. The four of us have a long, hard road to travel. I sure do not wish to be in line for gas and when it comes to my turn, they ran out. Or, not to fine a station all together. That’s three on a match already and we haven’t left yet. Yikes! !!!😣😏

I am glad everything is planned for the Cruise mom and sister don’t waste any time. 🤣
Let hubby dry off and you both enjoy the games. 🌹Happy Memorial Day.

Hubby wanted to turn the heat on this weekend and I am like no can do. 😎
We were just fine. 💕 -
Now that was a good workout. 🤣I hope you have something special tomorrow. 😎
I use to get pampered more often but with Covid-19 I have not had anything done
for well over a year. I am rewarding myself for just getting through all the things that
happened during the year from Hades. -
Here comes the rain again. 😎🌹

I love the Spoon Bill Birds. Go Oodie I wish you could take them back to the North
with you. 😘😎 -

Sheba, Didn’t we all love MTM, Rhoda and Love Boat? I sure did.
A Threading place opened close by before Covid and it closed pretty fast.
Enjoy the pampering! After you posted Chaco Canyon, you sort of sparked in interest in Turquoise. I took a look on the site to check it out. Wish it was easier to spell.
We hiked a hard 2 miles today but it was fun and lots of ups and downs.

Hi again. The spoonbill dropped by and I was able to take a small break to nuke a couple of frozen shrimp which he ate with gusto. What a gorgeous bird and he/she is friendly. I will miss seeing him when we leave.
Weather here is hot. We had a few droplets of rain this morning, but nothing to bring the grass back. Then this afternoon I heard a few bangs and ran to turn the computer off and unplug. It turned out to be an absolutely dry thunderstorm. Tomorrow there will be more chances, but again it will be sporadic. I think xango may be happy. Her area received a lot of rain.
The kitchen is almost done. I figured it will be completed tomorrow. The MB and bathroom beckon. However, sometime in between, we need to make a trip to Costco and to the Farmer’s Market. It will probably be one of our last trips until we are able to return.
Stay warm. Please give Poppy an extra hug and pat and say I was thinking of him. Stay safe.

I loved both shows with Gavin MacLeod. Mary Tyler Moore and Rhoda also. What you may not have known is that Gavin owned a home on Cape Cod and was on the board with the Dennis Playhouse. The Dennis Playhouse is one of the oldest summer stock theaters in the USA. And, yes, we saw many shows in this theater and always brought our own pillows to sit upon. The seats are actually wooden pews that become very uncomfortable during the performance. And, yes, there is air conditioning. This summer all shows will be outside and there will be social distancing as well. Masks will be required. As of now, we haven’t looked to see what is coming. Not sure if we will be on Cape at the time of the performances.
We were out and about a week ago and gas prices were around $2.80/gal. Today it is over $3 and is expected to reach $4 in a matter of weeks. Because there is a shortage of drivers delivering gas to stations and wholesale clubs. Many trucks are just sitting at the warehouses waiting for someone to drive them. Gas is also going up because it is summer and the fuel is different from the winter. To make matters worse, some areas are limiting gas only to the residents of the area. So, here I sit at the computer, wondering if we will be able to find stations on route. What a catastrophe that most of us may have to endure. Wonder if “gas buddy” will have the answers? “So, what else is new?”

We are chilly again, set a new record yesterday for high temp on 5/29 at 51 degrees.😱 Mom’s social got moved from yesterday to today because of rain. It is not raining now but still cool and dreary.😕 Tomorrow will be better. Not going to grill, will be using the oven for dinner and to heat up the kitchen, lol! Went from a/c last Sunday to furnace today.😮
Sis booked a cruise already for her and mom for next February.🚤😎 They are looking to go somewhere this year since they have an airline credit that needs to be used by the end of the year.✈ Mom wasted no time after getting her second shot to plan something.😁
Waiting for hubs to return from golfing. He started early this morning when it was in the 40’s so he is probably not a happy camper. Will make some coffee so he can relax and watch the golf tournaments on TV.🏌️♂️☕ Sending chilly ‘burgh hugs to you and Poppy in rainy Oz.🤗
