I get your concerns I am the same way. I am not going to let anything stop me from seeing
my mom and family all in Colorado. I don’t even know how we are going to do this. I am a wee bit nervous
about traveling yet millions have done it just for a weekend. 😎

Oodie check in when you can once you get started I don’t care where you start because
your Wi-Fi will be iffy. I will feel better once you and hubby are safe in the North.

Here is a nightcap for ya and June will be a busy month for me too. I have an appt.
tomorrow with my primary care physician just so if I start a little late you know what is
going on. I really have no set time but I always like to be finished before the morning
is over and Club Sheba is just the icing on the cake. 😎🌹

Thanks for the heads up. Oh I just hope it’s not on while we are on the road. TCM is not one of the stations we are able to enjoy in a hotel room. Yuck…….

I’m so happy that you and everyone else enjoyed the story of my uncle. He was a beautiful person and I miss him everyday. He not only watched over his sisters, and his own children but all his nieces and nephews as well. There were no favorites. Each were treated as if they were a favorite.

Today was difficult, but I persevered . Still one more side to do and then the MB. All cabinets are done and look great, if I say so myself. Now to find a home for my Halloween witch.

Started to look at hotels/motels today and planning the trip North. I just need to figure out the construction areas and an approximate time it will take us to drive from A to B. Not sure if we will spend one night in Florida or continue on to our usual stop in Georgia. This will determine the day we leave. Still, not too happy about going. I have many concerns.

Yesterday was a beautiful day🌞 but the weekend was cold and dreary. Today is another one of those perfect days.😊 Rest of the week scattered rain🌦 but comfortable and near 90 by the weekend.

Mom and sis doing fine.💕 It was chilly for their picnic on Sunday so they basically ate and left. Glad you had an enjoyable day with your family.🥰 My SIL is flying up from Atlanta in about two weeks so I’m sure we will have a get together. I am having a major project done at my house next week so will be very busy. Everything seems to happen all at once.

Jake said he wants to pretend he is Toto and visit Poppy in Oz.🦁👠🌪🌈

Hard Days

A hard day can sometimes be a great teacher if we stop for reflection

We all have days that seem endlessly difficult and hard. On these days, it is as if the odds are stacked against us and we just can’t get a break as one challenging situation follows another. We may feel like we’re standing in the ocean getting hit by wave after wave, never able to get a full breath. Sometimes it’s necessary or worth it to stay in the fray and work our way through. Other times, the best idea is to go home and take the breath we need in order to carry on.

If the only choice is to get through it, a hard day can be a great teacher. It will eventually end and we can look back on it, taking pride in the stamina, courage, and ingenuity it took to hold our ground. We may also look back and see how we could have done things differently. This knowledge will be valuable when we face hard days in the future. Trust your gut as you’re deciding whether to work through it, and know that sometimes a timely retreat is the best way to ensure a positive outcome. Getting space can remind us that external circumstances are not the whole picture. Once we catch our breath and re-center ourselves, we will be able to determine our next move. With a little perspective, we may even find the inner resources to change our attitude about what’s happening. We may begin to see that what we saw as hardships are actually opportunities. As our attitude changes for the better, our actions and the circumstances will follow suit.

Sometimes all that’s needed is a good night’s sleep. No one is immune to having a hard day and these are usually the times we can learn the most. If we can find it in our hearts to examine the day, and maybe make one small change in perception, we can ease our pain and greet the next day that much wiser. AMEN! 🌹
