Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Thank you all for thinking of me. My last two dogs I had to put down so I knew it was coming but Jake was perfectly normal all day so this was a shock. He must have had something burst like a tumor or blood clot is what I am thinking. He was at the vet in April and all was good, even had blood test because I had to order his heartworm/flea medicine. This is going to take me a while to get over because he was my most special dog. He was my third leg and wherever I was, he was beside me. He talked to me with a high pitched yelp when he wanted attention or a bite of the food I was eating. When he was laying down, he would always reach out his paw for my hand and would hold it as long as I would. At bed time, he would lay down and within a few minutes lift his head to see if I was still in bed which was security for him. I have had five dogs and he loved me more than any of the others. Just typing this upsets me – I will miss him forever. I know it will get better but it will take some time. Again, I so appreciate your kindness.💗🐾

I saw a butterfly this morning and thought of you and your dad. I’m sure today is bittersweet for you. Glad you felt better after attending mass. I am saying prayers for all our dads, mine, yours, Oodie’s, Taci’s and everyone else missing their papa’s on this special day.🙏💗🙏

Good afternoon Sheba. I did see the note from John and responded. He is really concerned and I cannot blame him. I hope my response is OK.
We did two different Aldi’s and the Farmer’s Market. That’s the most shopping we have done since Covid. We will do Sam’s or Costco tomorrow following my hair appointment. I am now about to start the two full laundry bins (the plastic ones with handles on either side) that are filled to the brim and beyond. Then will work on MB while husband does living room which I started to do yesterday. We also will pick up Anti Freeze. As you know there are many reptiles in Florida and I am scared to death of all of them. Big and small. We put the Anti Freeze down all drains and in all water areas of the toilets. No fun.
Speaking of the farmer’s market. They had corn yesterday. A dozen for $2. Never in my lifetime have I seen corn that low. Unfortunately, I didn’t purchase any since we are leaving a week from today. We bought their homemade chicken salad. Absolutely delicious. Hubby bought an Italian grinder. We will miss this place.
I don’t know if you saw my last post last night. I had just read the latest news and it was very scary. Friday night it was all about Missouri and the Delta offshoot of Covid. Last night it was Missouri and Kansas. Please be exceptionally careful. This offshoot takes no time to catch and can make you extremely ill. Even with the vaccine you can get it, but the medical people think it will just a moderate case. I’m not so sure. And if you do get it, the vaccine is 20% less effective later.
Please stay safe when out and about.

Summer solstice 2021 on Father’s Day, the longest of the year, marks Earth’s changing seasons
Father’s Day is the longest day of the year!
The official start of summer kicks off in the Northern Hemisphere today (June 20), marking the longest day of the year — which also happens to coincide with Father’s Day.
The June solstice will occur at 11:32 p.m. EDT (0332 June 21 GMT), when the sun reaches the point at which it is farthest north of the celestial equator. Reaching its highest and northernmost point in the sky, the sun must travel its longest path, meaning it will take longer to rise and to set, which is why today marks the longest day — or longest period of sunlight hours — and shortest night.
In addition, the summer solstice occurs at the moment the northern half of Earth is tilted toward the sun, meaning the Northern Hemisphere receives sunlight at the most direct angle of the year. At this time, the sun will appear directly overhead for a point on the Tropic of Cancer (latitude 23.5 degrees north) in the central Pacific Ocean, 817 miles (1,314 kilometers) east-northeast from Honolulu. Conversely, the June solstice marks the beginning of winter in the Southern Hemisphere, when the sun is at its lowest point in the sky and the southern half of Earth is tilted away from the sun.
The timing of the June solstice is based on when the sun reaches its northernmost point from the celestial equator, generally between June 20-22. And this year, the solstice also happens to fall on Father’s Day! Here’s what skywatchers can expect to see as dads around the world celebrate on Sunday, as well as during the week following the summer solstice.
Beginning Sunday morning (June 20), Mercury appeared above the horizon about 30 minutes before sunrise and may be visible at dawn. Solstice will occur at 11:32 p.m. EDT (0332 June 21 GMT) Sunday night. However, during the day, viewers in the Northern Hemisphere may experience more than 14 hours of sunlight. You can use The Farmer’s Almanac Sunrise and Sunset Calculator to determine how many hours of sunlight you’ll get in your location during the solstice.
Later in the week, viewers will be treated to other skywatching events, starting Monday night (June 21), when Venus and the bright star Pollux will appear closest to each other (a little over 5 degrees apart).
On Tuesday (June 22), the bright star Antares will appear about 5 degrees below the waxing gibbous moon — only shortly before the moon reaches perigee, or its closest approach to Earth in its orbit, on Wednesday (June 23). Then, on Thursday (June 24), the next full moon, also called the Strawberry Moon, will occur at 2:40 p.m. EDT (1840 GMT) and appear full to stargazers through early Saturday morning, according to NASA.

That Sunday, That Summer
Song by Nat King ColeIf I had to choose just one day
To last my whole life through
It would surely be that Sunday
The day that I met you
Newborn whippoorwills were calling from the hills
Summer was a-coming in but fast
Lots of daffodils were showing off their skills
Nodding all together, I could almost hear them whisper
“Go on, kiss her, go on and kiss her”
If I had to choose one moment
To live within my heart
It would be that tender moment
Recalling how we started
Darling, it would be when you smiled at me
That way, that Sunday, that summer
If I had to choose one moment
To live within my heart
It would be that tender moment
Recalling how we started
Darling, it would be when you smiled at me
That way, that Sunday, that summer -
Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days Of Summer
Nat King ColeRoll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer
Just fill your basket full of sandwiches and weenies
Then lock the house up, now you’re set
And on the beach you’ll see the girls in their bikinis
As cute as ever but they never get ’em wet
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
You’ll wish that summer could always be here
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Dust off the sun and moon and sing a song of cheer
Don’t have to tell a girl and fella about a drive-in
Are some romantic movie scene
Right from the moment that those lovers start arrivin’
You’ll see more kissin’ in the car than on the screen
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
Those days of soda and pretzels and beer
Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer
You’ll wish that summer could always be here
You’ll wish that summer could always be here
You’ll wish that summer could always be here -
