Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Thank you for your concern. We will be making a stop in Lancaster. We have a Coleman Frig for the car and will pick up some items for the journey to the first home. Guess the boredom of the ride through Wilkes Barre and Scranton always needs a helping hand. And when you think of it, it is only an additional 50 miles when push comes to shove. And then the scenery to New Jersey is quite beautiful and worth the extra mileage.
Today hubby did not stay in bed most of the day. I am watching what he eats and that includes the food in between. The house is coming together. I am on the dresser now and going through some clothes for the trip North. The floor by the dresser is loaded with stuff from hubby. As soon as I am done with my side of the dresser will be brooming the floor to see what is there. Once that is done the rest of the room will fall into place rather quickly. Next year we will paint the entire interior or will find someone else to do it since we have a tendency to procrastinate.
Tomorrow is Friday. Hope you have a good time with Sis and Mom. Enjoy the day and the company. 🌹🌹🌹🌹

Well, we finally had some rain last night with dancing lightning and some bellows. Then t his afternoon, the sky darkened and I turned the computer off and prayed for rain. Well it came and it was delightful to sit in the den and watch the lightning show and the rain drops. More expected tomorrow and not sure if it will be around the time of Trivia or before.
I actually made progress. Cleaning the dresser again so I can determine what will stay or go with us. Still have pile high laundry, but that will be done over the weekend. I am also looking for a ring that I last saw on the sink in the MB. It was near the edge and could have fallen into the pail, but I must have picked it up, just do not know where it is. Hoping it’s either in the bedroom or in a pocket. Been looking for it for over a week. Then for a long time I have also been looking for a shoe. The long time is over 4 years. Checked the Cape house and the other house before heading South prior to the Pandemic. It wasn’t there. Checked the Florida house, nowhere. The only place I hadn’t look was the guest bedroom. Well, I was cleaning under the TV stand a few days ago. Found a watch belonging to hubby, furniture polish, Lysol spray, and lo and behold, the missing shoe. Happy person I am on that one. They will now go to the Cape. I do not know how many times I have cleaned under that stand and never came up with anything. Even moved it from the wall to the middle of the room and still nothing. Have no idea how it managed to be in that area.
Yesterday I cleaned the copier and the table. Under the copier was a brand new quarter. It had to come from my parents. It gave me a thrill. July 2nd would be their anniversary.
Will see you tomorrow in Trivia and next Friday also. We changed the date to after July 4th because of possible traffic constraints and also because of last week.
Hope you and Poppy have a nice walk. Both of you be safe.

You Never Know Until You Try
It is often said that at the end of our lives, we are more likely to regret the things we did not do than the things we did.
When contemplating whether to do something or not, a plucky voice in our heads may say, “You never know until you try.” This is time-honored wisdom that encourages us to be game rather than to hold back. It reminds us that it is only through experience that we learn about this world and ourselves. Even if we regret the outcome, we have learned something, and the newfound knowledge is almost always worth it.
This wisdom can be applied to situations both large and small. From crossing the Atlantic on a boat to trying Ethiopian food, there’s only one way to find out what it’s like. We have all had experiences where we tried something we didn’t think we’d like and fell in love. We may have found ourselves stuck with nothing to read but a “boring” book, only to kick-start a lifelong passion for Victorian literature. We may have decided that sailing was not for us until we fell in love with someone with a boat. On the other hand, we may try tofu only to learn that it is truly not for us. In this case, we gain greater self-knowledge from the experience. And yet, we might still remain open to trying it prepared in a different way. The right marinade might make you a convert — you’ll never know if you don’t try it.
It is often said that at the end of our lives we are more likely to regret the things we did not do than the things we did. As an exercise to test your own willingness to discover through doing, try making a list of things you regret not having done. You may begin to notice patterns such as a failure to say what you really think at key moments or closed-mindedness to certain types of activities. Just being aware of the opportunities you missed might encourage you not to miss them again. There’s only one way to find out. 😎🌹
