Kindness

Kindness expands the light within us and reaches out to touch the light in others as well

Kindness is an ideal that is easily accessible to all of us. We all know that a small kindness can make our journeys lighter and more enjoyable. Even bringing an instance of kindness to mind can put a smile on your face days or weeks later or perhaps even inspire you to share kindness with another. Though it may seem simple to the point of insignificance, many cultures throughout the world and history have recognized kindness as a powerful virtue. It may be the simplest way to experience and share all the grandest ideals of humanity. We can make the choice to act from the best place within ourselves at any time, while simultaneously recognizing the highest potential in another with the smallest of acts, nourishing the seed of hope in each soul we encounter.

In a way, kindness acts as the oil that makes the engine of our world move more smoothly and with less friction. We can still get where we are going but the ride is more pleasant, and those around us can share in the ideal world that we help to create. We are all fortunate that kindness is limitless in its supply and available to everyone. When we act in ways that confirm our ideals, we make the ideal our reality. Then, instead of affirming the experience of struggle and competition, we can shift our experience to the reality of ease and pleasurable camaraderie with the fellow citizens of the world.

Whether giving way to someone in traffic or letting someone go ahead of us in line, donating money or sharing our resources in a crisis, we actively create a universe of kindness and giving with every choice we make. The smallest gesture can bring a smile to light the shadow of an unpleasant situation or remove tension from a difficult task, but it’s effects can echo and extend far beyond the moment. We can be sure that we will receive a kindness in return, but giving is its own reward. Kindness expands the light within us and reaches out to touch the light in others as well, giving us all a glimpse of the glow that has the power to enlighten our world. 🌹😎

Good morning on the Gulf Coast. 😘😎I have some news for you it’s about your movie.
I love it too it is on TCM on demand. All you have to do is put the channel on TCM and
press enter up pops all the movies on TCM. Brigadoon will be on for at least a week so
you can watch it as many times as you want. I discovered Brigadoon years ago on TCM.

I was not born when this Movie was made and I had never seen some of the older movies
with out interruption. Robert Osborn introduced this new genre when I just had my daughter
and it was a treat I have been hooked ever since. 💕 Oodie you have not missed anything.

I know you are busy and tomorrow is Trivia but I hope you can have some Ice Tea and enjoy
the movie. 🌹Oz is beautiful today just perfect. 💕

I will be watching also. 😎 Cyd Charisse and Leslie Caron are two of my favorite
dancers I watch their movies over and over. 🌹

I missed Brigadoon and tried On Demand. Nothing. Not even on the freebie section. I’ll again tomorrow. Meanwhile I was up around 5 this morning doing work in the kitchen. Went back to bed after 6:30 am. But, I did accomplish alot in that time. Only problem, extremely tired today and will get to bed early. That is, before 3am.

The air conditioning people called yesterday, so this afternoon I returned the call. Using speed dial I ended up on their fax machine. So I tried again. The phone number was correct, but this time instead of speaking with the staff I ended up talking to my cousin . My Cell had to jump on it’s own because her phone number was no where near the air people. Go figure. Anyway, we were on the phone for hours and I was able to get an update on our cousin. Not good. He is still in the hospital and they were hoping to send him to rehab., but he took a turn and his time is limited. Haven’t heard anything further. I just hope your BIL is in better hands and will have a better prognosis.

The house is beginning to really take shape. Now if only it could stay this way. The kitchen is really pretty. Need to figure out how to wash the windows. The window is a slider and is at the sink. I have a light fixture with three hanging lights that are in the way. I should have ordered a crank style. Oh well. I think I need a mop because I cannot reach the window when at the sink, nor when I stand on the step stool. I think I’ll try the dollar store on this one. That cheapy may be all that I need. LOL.

Still no rain, not even a drop. Tomorrow I will water some of the plants. There’s a 60% chance over the next several days, but again, I am not holding my breath. Tomorrow is Trivia. I should be there. Meanwhile, have a great evening and stay safe.
