Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I know Heidi will be on tomorrow. There are a few items that I have my eye on. Unfortunately I am now between two or is it three houses altogether??? Cannot order. Do not want anything on any door step prior to our arrival. I just hope I will be able to read my books and do the jigsaws in Kindle without needing WiFi.

Peace Out Peeps! Enjoy a safe and cool night. 😎😘

Just returned from our last shopping trip. Started with Aldi’s and though I had a few things for the freezer decided to go to Detwiler’s Farmer’s Market. This will probably be the last trip until we return from the North. I picked up Bing Cherries. Oh how sweet. Couldn’t wait to try them. Also bought real small black plums, strawberries for hubby, blueberries and of course dragon fruit. I’m in happy mode. Tomorrow will make eggs with blueberries and maybe add a bit of honeydew as well. What seems not to go together ends up being something good. And I also picked up 4 green tomatoes to add to the breakfast. I may use the grill pan for that. We both had a great time. Probably bought too much and will have to decide how to pack for the ride North. Also purchased some of their homemade items like cole slaw, chicken salad, macaroni salad, corn chowder, lobster cakes, pumpernickel bread (no sugar), salmon in cream cheese. I think I said enough. Their food is amazing. Everything natural. And yes, hubby and I enjoyed our free ice cream. He had vanilla and I had chocolate. Both no sugar added and home made. so Creamy. And two scoops in a bowl for me and a cone for him. Love the word free among others like coupon and sale.
Tomorrow the storm hits. I have a few things to bring inside. Need to close some windows and outside doors as well. It may not be a bad scenario, but I do not take chances. Besides all these things need to be done by the weekend anyway. I also have two foo dogs on either side of my stairway to the front door. I will wash them down tomorrow early and bring them inside.
I do not think your daughter in Georgia is in danger. By the time it reaches her it will most likely be just a rain storm. Us, on the other hand are still watching it very carefully. We are not that far from Tampa and yes, we are under the gun as well. Tornado watch now in effect. Tomorrow will be a good day to work and pack. Stay safe when walking with Poppy.

Who could rain and chase the dust away
Everybody wants to shine
Who will come out on a cloudy day?‘Tis the sun that loves you ’round
When the system tries to bring you down
Every had to shine at night
You don’t need darkness to do what you think is rightEverybody is a star
I can feel it when you shine on me
I love you for who you are
Not the one you feel you need to beEver catch a falling star
Ain’t no stopping ’til it’s on the ground
Everybody is a star
One big circle goin round and roundShine, shine, shine, shine

Sometimes I find going to the cemetery comforting. In the Jewish religion we have to wait a year. At that time the stones are up instead of the marker and of course there is a service. I’m sure your dad knows how much you miss him and happy that he drops by every now and then to say hello.
Me, I have found in the last couple of days brand new quarters. I think there is now a $1 worth. The keys were a big thing yesterday. Without them I would not have been able to lock the door, get the mail, go to the pool, check the clubhouse, etc.. Main thing was the mail and front door. For some reason we found the front door locked and when checking the back door that I thought was unlocked, it wasn’t. Hubby had to try all his keys before one worked the front door. It took awhile. And hours later a miracle happened. Found the keys in an empty carton that we were taking to the other house. They would have been found eventually, but sooner rather than later was a good surprise.
This afternoon we will go to Aldi’s and Ace Hardware. Ace to pick up the Anti freeze for all pipes, drains, toilets, etc.. Just hope they have it when we get there. Seems people are traveling in their RVs and need it for their trips. Consequently, most stores in the area have none. Hoping we can also go one last time to the Farmer’s Market. Free ice cream for everyone today in honor of the 4th. And it’s all homemade. Yes, they have no sugar added. Yummm…..🍧🍨🍦
Talk to you later.

Summertime
Revel in the richness of life and renew yourself in the light that Summer brings.
Our memories of summer are often intense because it is a season blessed with a vividness unsurpassed by any other time of year. Our senses are delighted by bright colors, fresh scents, vibrant flavors, brilliant sunlight, and heat’s caress. There is a sumptuousness about summertime, as both flora and fauna come into their own, regaling us with natural beauty. Our day-to-day circumstances may not change as spring turns into summer, yet we nonetheless feel refreshed. Our burdens seem lighter, and we feel compelled to play, to travel, to relax, and to experience all of life’s joys to their full extent during extended sunlit hours.
Rituals specific to the summer season empower us to attune ourselves to the changes that take place in nature and within ourselves as the weather grows warmer. Some summertime rituals are highly personal — remnants of past traditions we have unconsciously preserved through practice. Others can be incorporated into our lives whenever we feel the need to experience summer’s significance on a deeper level. Summer is at its core a season of light, and by opening ourselves and our spaces to this light, we honor all the joy associated with the coming months. Unbolting windows and doors, arranging bright-golden blooms in a vase, and turning our faces toward the sun become a celebration when done with intent. Summer is also a wonderful time to practice focused listening, as the air is filled with beautiful sounds particular to the season. To begin, find a quiet, solitary spot. For 10 minutes, pay attention to the workings of your mind and allow it to wander at will. Then turn your attention to the sounds resonating around you and note what you hear, whether the buzzing of bees, children’s laughter, or birdsong.
Thoughts of summer likely evoke numerous pleasant images in your mind. However, if what you envision seems little more than a piece of your distant past, you can reacquaint yourself with the joys of summertime by immersing yourself in its pleasures. Wake up with the sunrise, take a day trip to the beach, indulge in an ice cream cone, or simply sit quietly in nature’s embrace. The season will pass quickly, but while it remains, you can revel in the richness of life and renew yourself in the wonder of the light. 😎🌹💕😘
