Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Got lucky yesterday with the weather.🤞 But a few counties all around us had tornadoes and also by Philly.🌪 For once, I didn’t have to spend the day picking up branches, limbs, etc. and my husband didn’t have to use the chain saw. You’re right, I didn’t make it to your lawn but I’m sure there was a group from PA. I was the good witch watching from a distance. It is so nice this evening, temps around 70 with a cool breeze.
My nieces are not doing very well at the golf tournament.😕 They are stars in their area but when it comes to competing with kids worldwide, it is a whole lot tougher with a whole lot of great players. But it’s an honor to be there.
The drinks look oh so delicious, I am slurping the screen!!😛

@ Sheba2011, That sounds like a yummy dinner. Asked my husband to bring Ricotta cheese home. We’ve been getting fried catfish for dinner, I made side dishes to yo with the catfish. So today my sides were broccoli sauté in olive oil and garlic. Italian style green beans with diced onions and diced tomatoes. Sweet potatoes hash with diced onions. Everything was delicious. The ricotta cheese is for the home made lasagna I want to make for me and also freeze some for future meals. Have a great weekend, see in Trivia.

Hi Sheba. I’m still at the rehab. My ride comes in an hour . Well, we reached a huge milestone today. Hubby went from the wheelchair to the walker. Though I was at the door, he maneuvered everywhere himself. Didn’t wait for the nurses. His energy level is up there. Amazing. We have been in conversation the entire day. Even better than just a few months ago. His leg and back still giving him pain but at least now the rehab is giving him the meds.
I posted in community and also with customer service pertaining to Trivia. We finally, yes finally, received a response. Not sure if happy days are here as yet. Maybe we should wait and see.

Honoring Our Children
Our words and our actions are absorbed by our children, regardless of their age.
Everything we do and say in the presence of our children makes an impression on them. We may think we can get away with swearing or gossiping in front of them when they can’t talk, but we have forgotten that just because they can’t talk doesn’t mean they don’t hear. They are sensitive sponges absorbing their environment in ways we will never know. Even if the words don’t make sense to them, they make an impression, as does the energy behind the words. We honor our children when we acknowledge that they are fully present from the very beginning and when we offer ourselves to them in ways that model the best of what humans can be.
When we bring a child into the world, a great welling up of love and hope fills our hearts. We unequivocally want the very best for our children, and we want to be the best parents a child could ever want. We begin to see ourselves and our lives in a different light, and things that seemed okay before we had a child suddenly reveal themselves as problematic. This can lead to a somewhat mincing review of our habits of speech, thought and feeling, our relationships, and our physical habits. We may feel that we have put ourselves under a microscope, which can be stressful. However, it can also lead to a great healing of our own unresolved issues, enabling us to be good parents to our children. Talking to other conscious parents about this life transformation can be very helpful.
Our desire to become the best we can be is often strongest at the very beginning of a child’s life and sometimes loses its intensity as we grow accustomed to their presence. However, it is never too late to look at ourselves and notice whether we are offering our best to our children. That original welling up of love and hope can inspire us throughout our lives to be the best we can be. 😘😎💕🌹
