Sheba, Hope your Saturday was a good one. Fortunately, we have a lot of local trails in this area and State as a whole. This may be an issue for me when I move to AZ. I worry about the ease of access and how the life style will change. It holds me back from wanting to move.
It great you have a close and safe area to walk with Poppy.

Cooked some Salmon and a veggie dish so my son would have some dinner when he got home after work, which is after 10pm on weekends. I got the veggie dish off youtube and then couldn’t find the video so just did it from memory. It was ok. probably better if I rewatched the video. 🙂

Feeling very sad for Shoelady and her husband. Your posts to her were so kind.

Losing a pet is no fun. There is such a void in your heart and spirit. You vow no more. And then something happens. You miss the patter of those paws. You miss the whine for a treat or to go out and before you know it, you are doing it all over again. This is the first time I believe Shoelady mentioned that a pet took to her and no one else. That’s such a treat. Poppy is the same with you. And that’s the way Menschell was with me. It’s so hard. Yet, there will come a time when another little guy will cross our path and then you will know the time is right.

We went marketing. Stopped at Aldi’s and picked up some frozen chicken for our freezer. This will come in handy when we return and may be too tired to venture out for dinner. At least there will be something in the house. Oh yes, and a couple of small pizzas. We returned home to put the groceries away and then headed to Detwiler’s Farmer’s Market. I did purchase one Dragon Fruit for $4.99 ea. Tomatoes were between $.79/lb and $.99/lb, There were cherries also. First of the season. There were a few things they didn’t have such as Greek olives. May stop at one of the other farmer’s markets before we take off.

I know hubby isn’t feeling well and I’m concerned. He says he is feeling OK to drive the long distance, but I wonder. Nothing is written in stone that we must be back by a certain date. I’ll keep you posted.

Not sure how your BIL will fair through this ordeal. What I gave you was things and ideas that could help the process. The most important is to keep his strength up. I take a few of Andrew’s vitamins for the Immune system. I also take one for energy. On this one, it took quite a while for it to work and now I cannot live without it. You also might mention no carbonated drinks or alcohol. No frozen or canned foods that have preservatives. Most frozen foods have something and I learned this the hard way. Stay away from fermented foods, things with corn starch, corn syrup, etc.. Drink coffee and tea in moderation. Try pureeing apples, watermelon, peaches, etc..
He can tell if it’s going to be agreeable by looking at it. Lemonade is good. I happen to like Newman’s Own Diet (without sugar and preservatives).. He may be able to tolerate cheese since it is soft and melts in your mouth. He is also in good hands in Maryland. Loads of good MDs and hospitals. Probably better than Boston and New York.

Well, tomorrow is another day. I started putting the outdoor things indoors this morning. I need to straighten the other rooms so we can bring the furniture into our den and living room. Then back to the bedroom. There is a process and it takes about two hours from start to finish.

I too am concerned about Shoelady60 and I can’t get things off my mind I have
been there so many times. Still it hurts.
