@oodiebom, I hope you were able to get some rest. Have you try ordering groceries from Kroger? Look up on line, place your zip code to see if they are delivering in your area. Even though the nearest one is in Tampa, they deliver in our area. I like them, and they have lots of free item, and lots of coupon items. I hope they are delivering in your area, its very convenient.

@ Sheba2011, I hope you had a peaceful Saturday. I known it was a hard day to get by. I miss my mother still after so many years. Today I baked some banana bread, made some pasta for dinner.

Your past career in the arts sounds like an amazing time. It great that you had awesome mentors, and could use your talents. It’s all very interesting.

I meant to add this to your post today. I see you have figured out something.
Fame is one of my favorite movies and I was on staff at a performing arts school.
I was a performer at a Major Philharmonic Orchestra and a Professional Ballet.

All these are part of this thread which is of course a part of me. Taci for years as a very
young girl I stood in the shadows of geniuses. Ethel Merman, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Bolger
the original scarecrow the movie the Wizard of OZ and so many more. My boss was
a protégé of Leonard Bernstein and I learned everything from him. I even spent time
with Leonard Bernstein working on a show. I love that part of my world and life.

Good catch. 😘😎This thread is effortless for me to do because of the little spark of
pixie dust that I will never see in this lifetime. 😘💕Each of those performers made me
who I am today. I hope you are enjoying the trails. 😎

I am sorry you had to go through all that drama. Oh I wish I were there. I would have had
them straight from day one. 😎 I know you are tired just rest for now. I thought you
would want to know about Luvsweets but Oodie she also left notes on another Trivia
Thread. I logged in I think Wednesday and there were three Trivia Threads back to back
normally I don’t always look but I felt since you were on the road maybe someone wanted
to know about you. I think there is a little bit more there. If you can’t find the thread I will
try to pull it up for you.

I hope you ate good tonight both you and hubby. Oodie exactly one year today that my
father passed I will not be on long I have shower to take and say my prayers. 💕🌹
I still think about him everyday the waves are large today but I am still standing. 😘

I am so glad that you have returned to this thread. I missed you so much and just kept hoping and hoping you would return. Just post when you feel like it. I needed to know that you were OK. Time does heal but it doesn’t happen overnight. All of a sudden you awake and notice you are smiling more. And, there are subtle hints that the loved ones are near. Sheba has a butterfly, I have doves and every once in a while I find a coin on the floor of the van or in our bed or on the floor in the house. It’s a warm feeling when that occurs. Oh yes, my good luck charm are rainbows and for some reason I would see one in an ad on TV, though one was also spotted in a cloud that was a bit dark in color but had on rain inside. it was flat. That happened on my return from the Rehab center where the Lyft driver also remarked. Please take care of yourself and No there are no kitties in my life as yet. But maybe sooner rather than later.

Greetings from a weary houseperson. I awoke at 4 am and had no idea where I was at first. I thought I had fallen asleep in a chair in hubby’s rehab room. I decided to stay awake to unload more things from the van since it was a cool hour. Most of the unpacking is now done. Still have a few items near the rear seats and then the seats themselves. I will need to move quite a few things from the doorway before Monday morning. An electrician is due at 10 am and a plumber between 1 pm and 3 pm. It will be good to get some of the plumbing issues out of the way before we have a home inspection from a medical team. Since hubby’s legs aren’t working that well I am checking Amazon for chair seats for the bathroom. I do have a chair that may serve the purpose, but what I am looking for is a seat that is outside of the shower and then you move towards the center seat where you can sit and let the water hit you. I do like the one the Rehab used, but it is too large for our area. I’ll keep looking until I find something that works.

Last night’s dinner was amazing when it finally reached us. I ordered a large pizza, an antipasto salad and two grinders. The food will last until I can safely go out and shop. I dread leaving hubby alone for even 5 minutes. He could fall and not be able to get up. His legs are so wobbly, though he is better today than he was a few day’s ago. There are no neighbors to ask to stay with him since they have returned to their summer homes. Luckily there is a new Aldi about 2 miles from us. I may try them tomorrow and also will purchase some water so we can use Costco after the doctor appointment on Tuesday.

About two and a half weeks ago when hubby was about to be discharged from the hospital, I was introduced to Uber for the rides back and forth. Since I was 16 miles away from rehab, the staff felt Uber would be good since they always showed and their price was low. While hubby was in the hospital I needed to return to the motel for an hour or so to remove pills and vitamins from a hot van. I also needed to take my thyroid meds. At that time I used Yellow Cab and I dare say that the cost was extremely high. I bit the bullet and had no choice. The driver was real nice and said he would be back within a hour at no extra charge. He didn’t return to after 6 pm. I really needed to be back at the hospital by 6 pm in order to be with hubby during the night. For five nights I slept in a vinyl recliner. So, it was on the last day that I was introduced to Uber. The first ride or two were OK. After that I had problems with the credit card. I tried using another one while I checked on the one that wasn’t working. Well, the same thing happened. Then the first credit card asked me to do a selfie and to take a picture of my ID showing pictures of myself. The customer service from the other card said there was no problem. However, they also notified me that I would not be able to use another card because I was being investigated for fraud. In the meantime, I needed a ride, so contacted Lyfts. They were recommended by the motel manager. I contacted the second card customer service and they said I could use the card anywhere, there was no problem. It was Synchrony Bank that was causing the problem, but a few days later I received an e-mail to contact them at a different number. It turned out to be the Fraud Unit. What I discovered is that Uber had caused the problem and I was again in good standing. They are now looking into Uber. By the way, if any of you read this, let me be one of the first to tell you that Uber has no way of talking to you. There are no numbers to reach out to someone in customer service. You, the customer are in the dark if anything goes wrong. I have since deleted them.
