Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

My post the other day about having a long lunch happened. Went with our friends around 2:30 yesterday, spent about two hours at the restaurant and then went back to their house for a drink. Never got home until 9:45.😲 And more than one drink for all of us.🤭🍸 Never left their kitchen table and caught up on so much since before Christmas. It was such a relaxing day/evening. We plan to do the same next month at our house.
Lots of rain/thunderstorms predicted this week – warning right now. It won’t cool down until Saturday so my husband will be dodging the raindrops on the golf course.💧⛳ I will have the tree guy on auto dial. Ate way too much yesterday😣 so just having a couple bites of whatever today. Hubs is meeting the guys at Primanti Bros. (restaurant originated in the ‘burgh but in many states) to celebrate a birthday. Give Poppy a big hug from me.🤗

Hi and a good afternoon to you. Yesterday was very busy. The Electrician showed before 10am and will return within a week or so. The plumber was here for two or more hours starting just after 2pm. I fell asleep watching MSNBC before 8pm and I awoke around 1am and for two hours unloaded items from the van and brought them inside. A few things are left at this time.
Hubby had a doctor appointment this morning and it went well. Our physician will contact an agency for at home care and a physical therapist . Yes, he can go with me to shop and out to dinner/lunch. He felt hubby has come a long way since his hospitalization. The rehab had specified that a neurologist would be necessary. Our physician squelched that idea from the onset. Starting tomorrow he can begin taking his vitamins.
Yesterday evening I made a trip to Aldi’s for water and a few other essentials during a thunder storm. The storm knocked out the power for making credit card transactions, so I just purchased strawberries and bottled water. This was about 7pm and they closed for the evening. The same scenario is today as well. Wonder if xango had rain as we did. And, speaking of xango I did see her post last night, but was too tired to respond. I will do so soon. I will also read the latest post from luvsweets. I, like yourself, hope that Faire is alright. I pray for some good news, but fear otherwise. The cancer her husband has been facing is relentless and spreads fast. Just hoping that the new medications will put a dent in his disease and may he be in remission that will last a long time.

I wish we could edit within the hour. Your comment last night about the butterfly was
just fine. I so wish my father could make coffee as that was his favorite drink how I miss
the smell of his coffee. 😘✨ -
Coping with People You Dislike
Your aversion to some people may actually be your response to fear that specific qualities you see in them also exist within you.
As much as most of us wish we could exist in harmony with the people we encounter throughout our lives, there will always be individuals we dislike. Some simply rub us the wrong way while others strike us as deliberately unaware. We may judge others as too mean or abrasive for us to interact with them comfortably. Yet no person should be deemed a villain because their beliefs, opinions, mannerisms, and mode of being are not compatible with your own. You need not embrace the rough traits they have chosen to embody. There may be times in which the best course of action involves distancing yourself from someone you dislike. But circumstances may require that you spend time in the company of individuals who awaken your aversion. In such cases, you can ease your discomfort by showing your foe loving compassion while examining your feelings carefully.
The reasons we dislike some individuals are often complex and, at first, indecipherable. Often, we are automatically averse to people who are different because they compel us to question our values, spirituality, culture, and ideologies, threatening to undermine our self-assurance. Realistically, however, those you dislike have no power to weaken your life’s foundations. In fact, your aversion to specific individuals may actually be your response to your fear that specific qualities you see in them also exist within you. Their presence may force you to face internal issues you would rather not confront. If you meet someone who inspired an intense, largely negative response in you, ask yourself why your reaction is so laden with powerful emotions. Remember that you control your feelings and, if necessary, you can minimize this individual’s impact on your well-being by choosing how you will respond to them.
Though you may not have an immediate breakthrough, your willingness to consider your dislike rationally can help you better understand the root of your feelings. Your aversion to certain individuals may not wane over time, yet the comprehension you gain through reflection can help you interact with them sympathetically, benevolently, and with a greater degree of kindness. There is nothing wrong with recognizing that you are incompatible with some people. You may never achieve a shared harmony with those you dislike, but you can nonetheless learn to modulate your reactions to these individuals and, ultimately, to coexist peacefully with them. ✨🌹 Amen!
