Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I have very good neighbors in the northeast. I assume everything is OK. If not, our insurance company sent us an e-mail that if anything needed to be done to contact them. They have a team that can clear yards and repair roofs if needed. The other house I have a contractor that stops by to check, so, for now, we are all set.
Hubby has a tendency to have sugar problems and if I know ahead of time I can automatically follow the diet in “Wheat Belly” by Dr. William Davis. Dr. Davis is a cardiologist and his diet does work. I just need to know how high it was while in the hospital and rehab. The amount he has to take has me baffled. This physician has written numerous books on this subject and has included recipes. I, for one, have gone from whole milk and skimmed milk to Unsweetened Almond milk. But that is only one of the recommendations and there are many. For now, Asian food will be a NO NO as is pizza. However, there is such a thing now as almond and coconut flour that you can purchase in a supermarket or at Trader Joe’s. What this physician found is that the food we eat enables many diseases to take hold such as Diabetes. I like the diet because so many of our prescriptions have side affects that could hit the kidneys, liver, etc.. We will just follow the plan until his sugar is near normal. Of course, when you lay in bed all day and get up to use the “library” you are not exercising enough. Hubby is trying to work through the pain. I just wish we had a pool as part of our lanai. That certainly would help.
The problem I am facing is that hubby stopped all medication within the last three or four months. I assumed he was taking his pills and checked with him and the answer was yes. Then just prior to heading North I found out differently. I decided that since we were going to our other home that we would start from scratch. Well, scratch started when we reached Savannah. All the meds are now different and since we have a doctor appointment tomorrow or rather today (Monday) there will be tons of questions that need some answers. Today I worked on a notebook listing his prescriptions. I made two pages. One for morning, the other for evening. This way we both know what to take and when. I am hoping with physical therapy that we will be able to venture to the beach and walk a mile or two. But, a few steps in the beginning will do. There are quite a few restaurants on the beach where we can have breakfast and follow a diet plan. Hubby will be fine. I just have to know what we are facing. Seems no one gave me a clue. I surmise everyone thought I knew. And no one at the rehab explained anything. So, I assumed he was on the same meds. I have since learned never to assume anything.

Shoelady, Bon Voyage to your sister and mother. Hope they have a great time!

Sheba, Hope you had an enjoyable Sunday. I
Barry Manilow. Didn’t catch a concert but it’s sounds like it was wonderful. If I am around I will watch Ms. Heidi, and I expect to be around, so happy!
Going to play a game for a while in the arcade. Have been looking at some new computers to replace the very old one I use now. This means I will be faster and score better on these games too, so look out!
-
Thank you Sheba, I will relay your good wishes to them. It’s been one of those days. Heading to bed to read a little and watch the news. Saying prayers for Oodie and her northern homes.

Peace Out Peeps! Please be safe during this weather and enjoy the moon.

Happy planting what a day and it’s not over. Enjoy your evening.
I always cover Barry Manilow on this thread and have for the seven years that
how long this thread is. I created it out of my head sometimes that is not a bad
place. I never plan anything what I do comes from the heart and soul.Music is my life along with dance. Seeing the New York City Concert hit a nerve and I
hope I never recover.Yep full moon tonight and I will be out in it with Poppy long
dark hair flowing in the night. -
Barry Manilow Lyrics
“Somewhere In The Night”Time, you found time enough to love
And I found love enough to hold you
So tonight I’ll stir the fire you feel inside
Until the flames of love enfold you
Layin’ beside you lost in the feeling
So glad you opened my door, come with me
Somewhere in the night we will know
Everything lovers can know
You’re my song, music too magic to end
I’ll play you over and over again
Lovin’ so warm, movin’ so right
Closin’ our eyes and feelin’ alive
We’ll just go on burnin’ bright
Somewhere in the nightYou’ll sleep when the mornin’ comes
And I’ll lie and watch you sleepin’
And you’ll smile when you dream about the night
Like it’s a secret you’ve been keepin’
Layin’ beside you lost in the feeling
So glad you opened my door
You’re my song, music too magic to end
I’ll play you over and over again
Lovin’ so warm, movin’ so right
Closin’ our eyes and feelin’ alive
We’ll just go on burnin’ bright
Somewhere in the nightWe’ll just go on burnin’ bright
Somewhere in the night!!(We’ll just go on burnin’ bright)
(Somewhere in the night)
(We’ll just go on burnin’ bright)(Somewhere in the night)

I Made It Through the Rain
Song by Barry ManilowWe dreamers have our ways
Of facing rainy days
And somehow we survive
We keep the feelings warm
Protect them from the storm
Until our time arrives
Then one day the sun appears
And we come shining through those lonely years
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
When friends are hard to find
And life seems so unkind
Sometimes you feel afraid
Just aim beyond the clouds
And rise above the crowds
And start your own parade
‘Cause when I chased my fears away
That’s when I knew that I could finally say
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
And made it through
I made it through
