Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sad to say, but Sam’s closed all it’s warehouses in New England two or three years ago. They gave no hint to their employees. Suffice to say that when they showed up for their work day their was a sign on the door informing them that the warehouse was permanently closed. No prior warning. No hint. No severance package. And yes, they were doing a good business. The message on line read that they were closing all locations and would be reopening in newer areas soon. So far soon has not occurred.
Went to have my hair done and it was the first time in almost two months that I had a little time for myself. I left hubby for the first time and I was scared to death that he may fall, etc. etc. . When I returned there was a car in my parking spot and a lady at her vehicle. I had no idea that the visiting nurse was showing up today. There were no phone calls and no message. I was a little taken aback. But it all worked out in the end. Hubby’s blood pressure was good and so was everything else. Phew!!!!!! Tomorrow we have the physical therapist in the afternoon. Never a dull moment at this house.
Hubby is doing much better. Every day there is some improvement. Funny, today the visiting nurse asked if he had been driving. I said yes, driving me crazy with his antics. I have not asked if he could resume driving the van. Right now I do not feel he has full use of his brain and would know when to stop in case of an emergency ahead of us on the road. He really wants to drive but understands why I am hesitating. And oh yes, his short term memory is coming back. Not so slow the last few days and the amazement is that he is retaining everything. Guess the pills are doing their job and I hope he continues. Yes, he takes his meds daily. I have his pill box ready for the week ahead and a notebook to tell me what goes where.
I am happy that you and Poppy are more or less indoors. Please do not venture out in this heat and humidity unless it is something you truly need to do. If you can remember to use Dramamine for those dizzy moments, it will help to chase that away. I get those every so often due to Meniere’s. It also helps when I am leaning back getting my hair washed at the salon or when traveling by plane. Yes, you do have a tendency to fall asleep for an hour or so. However, in my case I am taking those pills every 4 hours for at least 24 hours. Even with your eyes closed you are spinning. However, the spin may be worse on one side and not the other. When I work outside I never leave without a hat or gloves. Water is in the van in a cooler with ice paks. I also have Newman’s Own Lemonade. For some reason my stomach cannot tolerate gatorade.
Well, that is it for now. Have a great evening and stay safe.

Good evening to you my friend. Hope you survived the heat of the day. Very warm here but – we had some unpredicted late afternoon storms
off and on for a couple hours and it is now in the 70’s from the 90’s. I have some windows open to smell the air and feel the breezes.
Back to the mid 90’s tomorrow.
Did not hear from mom or sis so I guess they haven’t hit any life-changing jackpots.
I hope they are enjoying walking around in 105 temps.
Sending hugs to you and Poppy.

@oodiebom, Good Afternoon to you and your husband. I hope your day is going great and you are able to get all you need done. I am still somewhat dizzy, more like light headed. How is your husband doing? I hope he is getting stronger each day. I know you are taking good care of him. Remember to take care of yourself too. Get some rest and eat good. Take care.

@sheba2011, Good Afternoon Sheba I hope your day is going well. It is partly sunny day here, still a very hot day.
This morning the dizziness came back, but not as much as yesterday. I am a little light headed right now. Today I am taking it easy and not doing anything. Take care. -
Opening a Closed Connection
If you feel abandoned or cut off from Spirit, know that it is always there for you waiting for you to plug back in.
There may be times when we feel like our connection to the universe is closed. Maybe things don’t seem to be going well in our day, or our lives, or we may feel out of our element. The truth is, the universe is always there for us. We know that we create our experience with our thoughts, and this is another way we need to make a conscious decision about how we want to experience life. It is up to us to do the work of making the connection, because nobody can do it for us, though sometimes the universe may send us wake-up calls.
You can think of it as getting some fresh air. We are always breathing and the air is always around us, surrounding us, moving through us. But we may need to step outside of where we are in the moment — physically, mentally, or emotionally — and make the conscious choice to take a deep breath in order to feel the air coming in and going out. Whether this means stepping outside physically or merely shifting our thoughts, it is only our perception that changes; the air remains the same.
It is just as easy to reconnect with the universe. Using the same technique as a breath of fresh air, a deep breath can bring us back to our center. As we inhale, we fill our bodies with the oxygen needed to replenish our most basic physical needs, allowing the air to circulate within us. Exhaling, we release the stale, the used, the potentially toxic air, removing any blocks that may keep us from going deeper into the stillness that lies at our center where we connect to the universe. Feeling closed off does not need to be a negative experience. When we become conscious of it, we can think of the wholeness of a closed circuit, which allows electricity to connect and flow properly. Our bodies work the same way, and when we make that connection in our minds, it can help bring us back to the connection we seek. Amen.
