Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

The Physical Therapist showed between 3″30 and 4pm. She will return Monday. Not sure of the time yet. Hopefully a phone call. Hubby thought she didn’t know much. But this was the first day. She did come up with a few easy to do exercises. Reminded me of the first days of ballet classes. He needs to hold onto a table or chair and march in place. Next are bending the knees and last doing knee bends but not all the way down. Also to go up on the toes and down. I’ll do the exercises with him. Cannot hurt.
Not getting much house work accomplished. We have to turn the air up to 78 during the morning and afternoon. House becomes very hot and humid and thus the reason nothing gets done. Will try tomorrow to finish the job in the kitchen. Counters especially. Oh yes, stove and the microwave.
Tomorrow, back to Aldi’s and the pharmacy. Wonder if there is a prescript for pain. Hubby asked for something today and we did also ask our physician. He may have forgotten. Will check with the pharmacist in the am.

Peace Out Peeps! Stay cool and enjoy your evening. ✨😎

I stopped purchasing frozen and canned vegetables because of the preservatives Sometime ago I read somewhere that the freezing is not all it should be and preservatives are used to make them last longer. I am not only highly allergic to strawberries, but also sulfites. Sulfites are everywhere. In soaps, detergent, clothing, shoes, shampoo, conditioners, etc. etc. . Strawberries can kill me. But the sulfites can make my life real miserable for up to three days. Two weeks ago I purchased water from Aldi’s. Couldn’t understand why every night I was so nauseous. I went through everything I ate each and every day and checked the labels. There were no sulfites. After scratching my head a few times could not figure it out. Then I had to take my vitamins and drank the water. Lo and behold the culprit. I wonder if the water came from Arizona. We were in Tucson many years ago and hubby and I had the same problem. Our two week stay was awful. Only a day trip to Mexico helped.
I refrigerate everything except tomatoes. The veggies I purchase from the farmer’s market are fresh. sweet and gorgeous. They last weeks in the frig and do not lose their taste or consistency. However, I am lucky if they last a week, because they are that good. Aldi’s goes to a warehouse and purchases fruit and veggies by the bulk. Their shelf life is not that long and consequently they seem to die out within days. When you purchase something from a supermarket you have no idea how many days they have been sitting on the shelf. You are fortunate if they last three to five days. There is a huge difference between Detwiler’s Farmer’s Market and the supermarket. I know you enjoy food delivery, but, I would rather I pick them myself and be able to feel the freshness.

@ Oodiebom, Hello to you and your husband this afternoon. I hope you are well, and your husband getting better and stronger. I saw your post, I am glad his short term memory is better, that’s always a very good sign.
Last night we had such a strong wind, it was 24 mph. Today there’s a wind again, it dries everything. We haven’t had a good rain in days. You mentioned you don’t use frozen vegetables, I am curious as to why, is it due to taste or are frozen vegetables not healthy? I cook fresh vegetables as much as I can but they go bad fast. And since we don’t shop often I get mostly frozen for the convenience of it. I hope you are taking good care of yourself. Take care. -
Waiting for the Physical therapist. She was due here between 2:30 and 3pm. So far a no show unless I wrote the time incorrect and should be between 3:30 and 4pm. She wanted to be here yesterday, but mentioned Thursday would be better. Will let you know what happened when I post later.
Do love the Paris necklace. Being holding ordering because of heading North and then the long stay between Savannah and Richmond Hills.

@ Sheba2011, How are you doing this afternoon? I hope you are having a great day. The dizziness was just a little bit, very mild as a woke up. I am hydrating as much as I can and it seem to be working. No light head, I feel better today. Your post from the full moon, I wanted to say it must of been wonderful you and poppy having fun in the backyard. You also said you have four children, I am the fifth in my family. My mother had five children first a girl, three boys and then eleven years later I came along. She had me when she was 34 years old. Born in a farm at seven months, I was a premature baby. I am the last one left. Lost my father when I was 13 to cancer. Two brothers to lung cancer. My mother had a stroke at 77 years and my sister died at 75 to heart failure. Sometimes I want to ask a question about our family history and there’s no one left I can. I have cousins I speak with, one in particular I speak with her everyday on Whatsapp. She and I are very alike, we like the same things and do things the same way. Have a great afternoon Sheba, take care.

Getting back to 90+ today but there are more clouds than sun so it doesn’t feel as bad. We may get more storms later again with the heat/humidity.
You are correct, every day is dog day here and in our lives.🐶 I am an empty-nester right now since all mine have moved out. I raise a glass to Jake each and every day. Love the eyes on the pic.👀
Mom and sis will be back in the “burgh tomorrow morning if all goes well on Spirit. If not, they will be stuck in Vegas, I’m sure they won’t be heartbroken.😄
Sending kisses to Mr. Poppy on his special day. Love from Aunt Shoelady!💗🐶💗🐕

Your Life’s Work
Each of us has been blessed with a purpose that makes our heart sing
Many people are committed to professions and personal endeavors they never consciously planned to pursue. They attribute the shape of their lives to circumstance, taking on roles they feel are tolerable. Each of us, however, has been blessed with a purpose. Your life’s work is the assemblage of activities that allows you to express your intelligence and creativity, live in accordance with your values, and experience the profound joy of simply being yourself. Unlike traditional work, which may demand more of you than you are willing to give, life’s work demands nothing but your intent and passion for that work. Yet no one is born with an understanding of the scope of their purpose. If you have drifted through life, you may feel directionless. Striving to discover your life’s work can help you realize your true potential and live a more authentic, driven life.
To make this discovery, you must consider your interests in the present and the passions that moved you in the past. You may have felt attracted to a certain discipline or profession throughout your young life only to have steered away from your aspirations upon reaching adulthood. Or you may be harboring an interest as of yet unexplored. Consider what calls to you and then narrow it down. If you want to work with your hands, ask yourself what work will allow you to do so. You may be able to refine your life’s work within the context of your current occupations. If you want to change the world, consider whether your skills and talents lend themselves to philanthropic work. Taking stock of your strengths, passions, beliefs, and values can help you refine your search for purpose if you don’t know where to begin. Additionally, in your daily meditation, ask the universe to clarify your life’s work by providing signs and be sure to pay attention.
Since life’s journey is one of evolution, you may need to redefine your direction on multiple occasions throughout your lifetime. For instance, being an amazing parent can be your life’s work strongly for 18 years, then perhaps you have different work to do. Your life’s work may not be something you are recognized or financially compensated for, such as parenting, a beloved hobby, or a variety of other activities typically deemed inconsequential. Your love for a pursuit, however, gives it meaning. You’ll know you have discovered your life’s work when you wake eager to face each day and you feel good about not only what you do but also who you are.
Amen to that. 😎✨💕😘
