Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

The food section at Aldi’s is something we usually pass on. However, this time hubby picked up a few items and I took the time to read the labels and all ingredients. Everything was natural, or so it seemed. However, and there is a however, not all is as it seems. The Food and Drug Administration in there good heartiness says if the sulfites are below a certain percentage points, it needs not to be listed as such. But, it is essential that it should. Who knows how many preservatives have been left out, or vinegar or corn starch or corn syrup, etc. etc.. What they do not realize is that people like myself depend upon the exact number. Each mouthful adds up. So, if it isn’t listed there are problems. Yep, the last two days have been horrendous. Hives in my mouth and in areas that you cannot scratch because it is on the inside. After tomorrow I should be as good as new, I hope.
As you know I purchased.Heidi Daus’s, “Dreaming of Paris” necklace and yes, I did get the sales price. And as you know it was a huge savings. And you said, go purhase something else. Well, I thought it was going to be a price adjustment to the credit card. So yesterday I looked and lo and behold it came as “Spendable Kash.” So I used the difference, at your suggestion, to buy another something. This time it was the seashell and mother of pearl necklace. That’s it for now. No more shopping for awhile. Naughty person I am I am. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Peace Out Peeps! ✨Stay safe and cool tonight. 😎

A Summer Song
Song by Chad & JeremyTrees swayin’ in the summer breeze
Showin’ off their silver leaves
As we walked by
Soft kisses on a summer’s day
Laughing all our cares away
Just you and I
Sweet sleepy warmth of summer nights
Gazing at the distant lights
In the starry sky
They say that all good things must end someday
Autumn leaves must fall
But don’t you know that it hurts me so
To say goodbye to you
Wish you didn’t have to go
No, no, no, no
And when the rain
Beats against my window pane
I’ll think of summer days again
And dream of you
They say that all good things must end someday
Autumn leaves must fall
But don’t you know that it hurts me so
To say goodbye to you
Wish you didn’t have to go
No, no, no, no
And when the rain
Beats against my window pane
I’ll think of summer days again
And dream of you
And dream of you -
Summer Rain
Song by Johnny RiversSummer rain taps at my window
West wind soft as a sweet dream
My love, warm as the sunshine
Sitting here by me, yeah
She’s here by me
She stepped out of a rainbow
Golden hair shining like moonglow
Warm lips, soft as her soul
Sitting here by me, now
She’s here by me
All summer long we were dancing in the sand
Everybody just kept on playing “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”
We sailed into the sunset
Drifting home, caught by a gulf stream
Never gave a thought for tomorrow
Let tomorrow be, yeah
Let tomorrow be
She wants to live in the Rockies
She says that’s where we’ll find peace
Settle down, raise up a family
One to call our own, yeah
We will have a home
All summer long we were grooving in the sand
Everybody just kept on playing “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”
Winter snows drift by my window
North wind blowing like thunder
Our love is burning like fire
She’s here by me, yeah
She’s here by me
Let tomorrow be -
Summer Wind
Song by Frank SinatraThe summer wind came blowin’ in
From across the sea
It lingered there so warm and fair
To walk with me
All summer long, we sang a song
And then we strolled on golden sand
Two amigos
And the summer wind
Like painted kites
Those days and nights, they went flyin’ by
The world was new
Beneath a bright blue umbrella sky
Then softer than a piper man
One day, it called to you
And I lost you, I lost you
To the summer wind
The autumn wind and the winter winds
They have come and they have gone
And still the days, those lonely days
They go on and on
And guess who sighs his lullabies
Through nights that never end
My fickle friend, the summer wind
The summer wind, the summer wind
The summer wind -

being a care taker is no easy feat. Well hubby has a three day weekend so it’s back to
the office for him. 😎Oodie thank you for your positive greetings sometimes you will post info on services
and I don’t mind listening to them. I want you to have a good night. 😘✨Shana Tova!

I am fine now after Benedryl, a couple of chlortrimeton and an Excedrin. This was due to something I ate from Aldi’s. Still not sure what it was because I checked all labels. This was definitely another reaction to sulfites. Caused hives inside my mouth. I should know better because this is the beginning of sinus season. I also used this morning and the beginning of the afternoon to go through the mail and to pay the bills. You are right, there is tons going on and trying to keep up is difficult.
Thankfully, hubby is still surprising me. Last night I did a load of wash and later on he went MIA, but assumed he was in the “library.” I looked up eventually, and he was in bed. Looked at the time and mentioned I was going to take the laundry out of the dryer. He told me not to bother, he did it. Left it in the dining area all nicely folded. I was thankful he did it but mad as a hornet on the other end. The doctor didn’t want him doing the dishes or the laundry until after his next appointment which is a month from today.
Yes, we had a great visit with our friend from Michigan. She is selling her home and will be living in a RV at the park which is next door. There was tons of catching up to do. And, now as I use the keyboard, she is in the air for the return. Not sure if she will be in Florida before or after Thanksgiving. Suffice to say it will be in November. What strikes me real funny, is that she is just about a mile from us and yet we use the e-mail to get in touch. No phone calls, just e-mail. She is like a sister that I never had. We will be doing this again upon her return. Funny, I sent her an e-mail to drop off her garbage and to put it in the barrel. Our pickup is tomorrow and I didn’t want her leaving it outside because of the critters (birds, raccoons, snakes, mice, rats, squirrels, iguanas, etc… That was something she really appreciated.
I realize you do not celebrate Rosh Hashanah, but I want to take the opportunity to wish you, your hubby and your family a healthy and joyous year. After what you both have been through it is time to be joyous and to celebrate everyday as a new beginning. Laugh a lot. Don’t dwell on the could have beens, but rather on the goodness of life. The beauty of nature. The seasonal flowers, and the promise of an adventure that is just around the corner.

Happy Labor Day Sheba, this weekend has gone by faster then it should have. I don’t think I remember Saturday. I hope you got to barbeque today with your husband. We had a bit of both sunshine and rain today. Have a great Tuesday Sheba.

Sheba we are still waiting for the test results. He’s seems ok. Good thing he has the upstairs still.
So happy you and Shoelady had great times with your company.
I accidentally bought something last night, oops. The computer autofilled away. Trying to get it reversed.
Have a great week a head and Shana Tova!

Natural Cycles of Sleep
Our bodies are naturally encoded to respond to light and dark, sleeping with the rhythms of Mother Nature.
The human body evolved to fall asleep soon after the descent of night’s curtain and to wake with the appearance of the dawn. Sleep cycles were governed by patterns of light and darkness for thousands of years, meaning that for much of history, humanity has enjoyed nine of more hours of sleep each night. Our bodies are naturally encoded to respond to light and dark and sleeping with the rhythms of Mother Nature. In the present, artificial light has changed the way we schedule our day-to-day lives, and most of us slumber for less than seven hours at a stretch. It is possible, however, to come back to natural sleeping cycles by making a few small changes. When our bodies and minds are attuned to the world’s natural rhythms, we feel calmer, more centered, and more energetic while awake. Sleep is more satisfying because we afford ourselves more than enough time for restoration and rejuvenation.
Our reliance on indoor lighting further compounds our disassociation from the natural cycles of light and darkness that would otherwise preside over our sleep. You can mimic the passage of the day by changing the quality of the light. Sleeping without heavy drapery or shades is best so you can wake up with the sun. If sleeping by a window without a curtain is not an option, a dawn simulator lamp imitates the sun by growing steadily brighter with the coming of the height of morning.
You will likely discover that changing your sleep patterns to be in sync with the daily cycle of light and darkness is easy and that you feel more alive when your sleeping and waking rhythms are in alignment to those of the earth. Nature’s own phases will be your guide to wellness, granting you more waking hours in the summertime when you will benefit greatly from spending time outside and ensuring you get plenty of sleep in the winter when you likely need it most. ✨😎 Happy Labor Day.
