Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Oh, Pretty Woman
Song by Roy OrbisonPretty woman, walking down the street
Pretty woman, the kind I’d like to meet
Pretty woman, I don’t believe you
You’re not the truth
No one could look as good as you
Mercy!
Pretty woman, won’t you pardon me?
Pretty woman, I couldn’t help but see
Pretty woman, you look lovely as can be
Are you lonely just like me?
Rwar-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r-r
Pretty woman, stop a while
Pretty woman, talk a while
Pretty woman, give your smile to me
Pretty woman, yeah, yeah, yeah
Pretty woman, look my way
Pretty woman, say you’ll stay with me
‘Cause I need you
I’ll treat you right
Come to me, baby
Be mine tonight
Pretty woman, don’t walk on by
Pretty woman, don’t make me cry
Pretty woman, don’t walk away, hey
Okay
If that’s the way it must be, okay
I guess I’ll go on home, it’s late
There’ll be tomorrow night, but wait
What do I see?
Is she walking back to me?
Yeah, she’s walking back to me
Oh, oh, pretty woman (Thank you) -

I do feel sorry for your husband. Don’t know how a child can be that ungrateful to a parent. And I’m sure his mom felt very hurt. My mom is a superb mother for all these years, willing to do anything possible for me and my sister. It is our pleasure to be able to help her at her age. We will never feel guilty about anything. My sister has been away for almost 40 years so I’m sure she feels it’s her turn to step up.
Long trip back home for her. She was delayed 1/2 hour in the ‘burgh and another 1/2 hour in Denver. With the delays and layover, it will take her over 8 hours to get home today. She has a lot more patience than me, that’s probably why I need a heart test and she doesn’t, lol!

Hi and good evening to you. Sounds like sis got off on a slow start, but hopefully, she is either home or almost to her front door. A real long day for her. Hope where she lives that everything is OK. My husband often remarked that he was an only child while his mom was alive. He had two sisters. One lived twelve miles from her the other a couple of hours away by car. Neither did anything to help especially when we took a two week vacation. The sister two hours away would come to visit her sister and leave the next day for the beaches in Rhode Island. How fortunate you are that you have a sister that cares and that the both of you can share in the care of Mom, though sometimes I think it’s the other way around. You are also fortunate that your mom is one feisty lady. A few laughs here and there keeps you younger than springtime. Take care of yourself and I do hope you feel better. Chicken soup with noodles, carrots and whatever else you got is great for making one feel better. Good luck tomorrow on your tests. The spoonbill must be on his way because I saw him take off yesterday. If you by chance spot him/her he loves the Atlantic shrimp. Please stay safe.

Sis is off (1/2 hour late) to Cali. She is flying through your family’s neck of the woods – Denver. I always check the flights to see if they are on time and landed. She will get in Cali between 7-8 so told her to just send me off an email since it will be late in the ‘burgh.✈
Not feeling all that hot today, probably stress for the test tomorrow and sis leaving.🙁 Having chicken noodle soup for dinner.🥣 Hubby has leftover chicken.🍗 I am a pasta freak so I may show up at your door.🍝😋
Off and on rain this afternoon,🌧 over now, and temps comfortable through the weekend. Getting hot again beginning of next week.🔥 Continued prayers for your favorite angel aunt.😇🙏

Good Afternoon Sheba, A hot day and very humid here.Your 70’s temperature days must feel awesome. It must of been a great feeling when the butterfly came for a visit, staying around for a while. Your father was saying he is around you and watching over you. Tomorrow you can tell me about the pasta dish you are making for your hubby. Yesterday my tastebuds were having the desire of something sweet. I try to keep frozen puff pastry dough in the freezer. So I made a vanilla pastry cream and then I cooked two apples with brown sugar and cinnamon with a few drops of lemon juice. After it cooled I took out a puff pastry sheet out and made me apple turnovers. With a spoonful of the cream and apple mixture, it turned out delicious. Today I might made some Langues de Chat (Cats tongue) cookies. Have a great rest of your afternoon Sheba. Take care.

Let’s see. I climbed into bed around 2am after loading the dishwasher and finishing the last bit of the kitchen. Surprisingly, it looks good if I have to say so myself. I found some empty boxes and used them for a collection of donations. That felt good. I was up before 6am and got all our clothes together and hung them. The contractor to look at our floors was here at 9:15am and was here over an hour. The tech for the 6 month cleaning of our AC was a half hour late, but the job is done until next year. A few minutes later the phone rang. It was hubby’s Personal Trainer/alias the Physical Therapist and she was here sometime this afternoon. Reason for sometime this afternoon is that I fell sound asleep. I did hear a knock on the door, or so I thought. It was something hubby was watching on TV. And, I see your dad dropped by for a visit. You should always keep some honey on hand. He may enjoy it and stay longer. All kidding aside, It does the heart good when a parent pays an unexpected visit. I have the same feeling when I see rainbows or doves near me.. or finding loose change in the car or somewhere in the house.
We have a sunny day today thus far. There is an 80% chance of rain. I haven’t stuck my head outside so don’t know if there is humidity with this. I know last night you could cut the air with a knife.
Funny that you are making a spaghetti dish today. I made one last night and I am enjoying the leftovers.
Hope your day is beautiful. Stay safe when out and about and with Poppy.

The Sound of the Human Voice
Every time we use our voices, we send our energetic imprint out into the universe and to the people around us.
Whether listening to the low muted murmur of a confidential whisper or the proud declarative boom coming from behind a mic on the podium, there are few sounds more evocative than the human voice. Each human being’s voice has a unique tone that is all its own. Carrying their own signature traits and idiosyncrasies, no two voices are alike.
Yet so often, we neglect to hear these resonances under which our spoken words are floated over. A lover’s voice vibrating with tenderness can feel like a warm caress touching the body; words spoken over an angry voice can seem like bullets hitting one’s auric field; and a voice tinged with laughter can’t help but fill us with good feelings. And then there are the voices of other people we encounter. The radio announcer’s soothing baritone that accompanies us during a long ride, the cheerful chatter of children playing on the street, and the dulcet hum of a yogi in mid-mantra are just a few of the voices we may be blessed to hear on any given day. Taken together, they’re like a wondrous symphony of mellifluous notes.
Every time we use our voices, we send our energetic imprint out into the universe and to the people around us. And, like the words that we use when we speak to people, our voices can communicate what we are feeling, what we desire, and what we really mean. There is no hiding our truth that can be felt through the sound of our voices. Timidity, desire, pain, and love can all be expressed and felt through the human voice. Our voices also have the power to heal, to hurt, to love, and to transform others. When we are aware of the impact our voices can have, we can consciously choose what we are expressing. Remember that what you communicate when you speak goes beyond words. Take responsibility for the power your voice has to impact the space and the people around you, and let your voice be a sound that creates harmony and compassion in the universe. Enjoy! ✨😎
