Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Oh, I love George – he is adorable!!🥰 And those eyes, just like Jake’s.👀 I am throwing kisses to my computer screen. Tell your brother George has a fan in the ‘burgh.
Had a very nice late lunch/early dinner with mom. Couldn’t finish it all so we both have lunch/dinner for tomorrow. We are getting a full day of rain tomorrow and cooler temps. I think I may run out and get my flu shot tomorrow.
Mom is praying everyday for you and your family.🙏 I hope you feel the love.💖💗

Hubby can no longer say “there is nothing to eat in this house.” Yes, we have returned from shopping at Costco’s. Even picked up gas @$2.84/gal. Some of the other stations were as high as $3.09/gal. It was sticker shock for me because I was expecting gas to go the other way. I still have food to put away, but needed a rest and a snack. I am now well fed and happy. No message from the contractor, but I am fine with that.
Went into the den with a snack and happened to look outside. We had the most beautiful rainbow, though there was no rain, but, maybe, just maybe, within the cloud formation. No arch on this one either, but did go horizontal and may have been an arch from another direction. It was up for quite a while and then seemed to fade. Went to the kitchen and when I returned that rainbow was back more brilliant than before. Then, all of a sudden, there was a second rainbow. this one was further away. Probably equivalent to two or three city blocks. Just as magnificent as the first. It was so unexpected.
Well, guess I better go through the stuff I purchased with hubby. We have a lot of food to put into our freezer. No rest for the weary. Talk to you later. Take care and please stay safe. Oh, I love your brother’s son. So cute. Think he is trying to say “this is my space, stay away, please.” Guess it’s nap time. And no better place than a comfy couch.

Sheba, it was interesting to see., we crossed a shipping lane. Glad your BIL is in Oz and not too far away. I hope the best for him.
No hike yesterday or today, temps in the 90’s. I think at one point today it was 94. This is very hot for our area.
Been wearing the thin cute bangles from Heidi Daus a lot. Nice pop of sparkle and easy to wear. -

Cultivating Inner Clarity
When the world is in chaos, we can still have our own inner peace and maintain a sense of calm in sea of unrest.
People who maintain their sense of calm when things around them are in a state of flux and confusion are always wonderful to be around. We feel calmer just being near them, as if they have activated our own sense of inner peace. From them we learn that we can be calm, even when everything around us is in turmoil, because we know that no matter what happens, this inner sense of calm will help us to function well. Often, times of confusion are the times that enable us to find that part of ourselves that knows how to cope, and how to be a light to others in the storm.
If we allow ourselves to be thrown off balance by every piece of disturbing news that comes our way, we may be relying too much on our emotions. On the other hand, our thoughts may also be unreliable at times like these, as they chatter on endlessly about what might happen next. If our feelings and thoughts activate one another in a hectic way, then we become caught up in the confusion that surrounds us. However, if we can locate the stillness at the center of our hearts, we can find composure in almost any situation. In addition, we provide a safe place for our friends and family, who are also prone to taking on the confusion of a world in flux.
It helps to remember that we don’t need to completely understand what’s happening right now, nor do we need to be able to predict the future. Most of us just want to find our way to being at peace with whatever happens, and we can find this peace inside. Cultivating our inner clarity with meditation, journaling, and reading words that inspire us, will lead us to that place inside us that’s already there, just waiting. AMEN! ✨😎
