Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Howdy Sheba. 😘🌻
Fall is in the air and I’m loving it🤗🤗. The fall pictures you posted today are beautiful. My two munchkins are so frisky on their cold morning walks. The afternoons do warm up to a very pleasant low 70’s and sunny.
We were over a neighbor’s house Monday evening and we had a clear sky to witness that gorgeous moon come up. It was so bright and big and seemed so close. We were all quiet for a minute and just wanted to gaze at its beauty.
We had crock pot stew yesterday. I put it all together before Sister and I hit the streets, LOL. We went to visit our Jewelry store friend. The apple trees here in Ruidoso are so beautiful this year and loaded with apples. My friend has 2 and gave us a bagful. I’ll be peeling and cutting them up tomorrow to cook.
My 2 hounds are staring holes through me and fussing at me. It is 4:30 here and past time for their dinner, which is 4:00.
Sheba, take care. Jewel and Little D reminded me to send their best to Poppy.❤️🌹
Prayers to you and family. -
No Visiting Nurse today. Will be here either tomorrow or Friday. The Physical Therapist is scheduled for early afternoon tomorrow. At least she has been calling.
This morning hubby met with the orthopedist. Yesterday we had a long, detailed questionnaire to complete. I’ve never seen so many questions. But by the time it was completed, it was very detailed. Best part, everything went directly to the group. This group took over the entire top floor of the Medical Building. The inside reminded me of the Medical Offices at Mass .General Hospital in Boston. Probably the same in most places. He had more forms to complete and then we waited. We were there on time. He was finally called and I waited for about an hour and a half before he returned. Yes, x-rays were taken. He mentioned that the Orthopedist asked more questions and then received an injection of steroids directly into the knee. So far he has no pain in that area. I would assume that he will begin feeling the difference in a day or two. He is scheduled for appointment in December. That’s it.
The day is absolutely beautiful here. Lots of clouds and sun. Some white clouds, but mostly dark ones in the distance. Temperature is in the mid 80s and no humidity. I think we are heading into the fall weather pattern where temps are in the mid to upper 80s during the day and low to mid 70s through the night. And to make thinks more interesting the weather people are now watching two or three disturbances that may or may not turn into something later. There is also a possibility of a cooler front coming soon, though the temps will not be in the 40s. We may be talking mid 70s.
Yes, would love to head North, but will have to wait until next month for that answer. In all fairness I really need to see my regular dentists and get my teeth cleaned. I also may want to visit a new physician so that I have someone in the North. Yes, I do have someone in mind. Will wait until I know if we fly or drive. I’m not in the mood to fly, but it will be the fastest way to get where we need to be.

Went and got my flu shot.💉 Put my fall wreath on the front door.🍁 That’s about it for my work today. Leftovers for dinner, waiting for the severe storm to hit.⛈ Exciting, huh? Just one of those days with no energy. Yes, I am relaxing!

Autumn’s Beauty
As the days grow shorter, we tend to acknowledge the changing season without understanding that we, too, are in transition.
The birth of autumn is an event missed by many. Autumn reveals itself slowly, hovering on the edges of our consciousness until its crisp breezes are strong enough to pierce our summer clothing, and we notice for the first time the transformations taking place all around us. It is only when the last fruits and vegetables have emerged in the crisp tangy air and the trees have begun to deck themselves in shifting patterns of crimson and gold that we internalize that fall has indeed returned. Autumn is invigorating and a time to gather our thoughts, in the same way that we might once have collected crops. Just as animals collect acorns to store them, we reap the fruit of our accomplishments. Autumn also ushers in a new slowness of being for most of us, as the tone and tempo of our lives change along with those of all of Mother Earth’s children.
As the days grow shorter and the blossoms that brightened our gardens through summer’s heat begin to droop and wilt, we tend to acknowledge the changing season without understanding that we, too, are in transition. The brilliance of autumn’s foliage, the flocks of southbound geese honking overhead, and the arrival of a bountiful harvest are all signs that our lives will soon be changing. Whether the season’s cooler days are a prelude to a cold winter or a long stretch of sweater weather, we feel obliged to slow down and take stock of our lives. Autumn’s pleasures and rituals revolve around the gathering of abundance in preparation for the winter to come. There is ample time to contemplate what we accomplished during the warmer seasons while tasting the year’s first cider or breathing in the sweet fragrance of leaves breaking down. The same stirring that inspires animals to burrow deep into the earth compels us to celebrate the rich bounty we instinctively know will not appear again until springtime.
Appearances deceive in autumn. The transformations undergone by living beings seem much more like endings than the transitions they really are. Dormancy, not death, is the hallmark of fall. Your priorities will likely change as nature flares into sunset brilliance and then lapses slowly into slumber, but remember to rejoice in the beauty of nature where every finale serves as an overture for a new beginning. AMEN! ✨✨😎
