Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Your lunch looks superb. I decided on cottage cheese with blueberries and half a dragon fruit. I nuked the blueberries and poured the sauce over the cottage cheese and then added the dragon fruit which I did cut into. OM, it was delish. I’m debating about having the other half with more blueberries or a ham and cheese sandwich with a slice of onion.
No, we didn’t market today. And I am absolutely furious and so is hubby. Normally, the visiting nurse is here between 11 am and noon. She was a no show. So at 1 pm I left a message and then tried contacting the office. The visiting nurse did contact me and said that the person would be here tomorrow. She could not make it today. Tomorrow wouldn’t work, so she said she would be here between 2pm and 2:30pm. She showed at 3pm. Before she did anything she mentioned that someone did try to reach us but our answering machine wasn’t working. Our cable went down for about an hour so we had no TV, no computer and consequently no phone. But, she couldn’t try this morning???????. Anyway, it took an hour and by that time it was too late to go anywhere. We will try tomorrow instead. I am still fuming.
Our Spoonbill flew away. No sighting today. I am praying real hard for a miracle in OZ. We may have to call on the Lion, Scarecrow and the Tinman to lend a hand. Then again, maybe the Wizard has something he can try.

Hi and good evening. Just wanted to to some catching up. I was playing with the computer this afternoon and decided to take a look at Detwiler’s Farmers Market. It was very interesting. I used a search engine through Google and found they were on Facebook. I decided to give it a try even though I am not a member of Facebook. What I found was a more up to date look from one of their markets with their prices for this week. Needless to say, we were about to go today, but the Visiting Nurse did not show until after 3pm. Anyway, when you get an opportunity take a look. They are heading towards Tampa and also further South to Ft. Myers. At least that’s t he latest rumor.
Hubby is doing OK. We really need to be heading North soon to check on the other houses. Not sure if hubby will be able to go with me. Both the Visiting Nurse and the Physical Therapist thought it was much too soon. I do not wish to leave him alone for any length of time. And I know I will need to be gone the minimum of two or three weeks. UGH!!!! It’s not only to check on our place but also to see the dentists. Well, we have a doctor appointment next week and will see what he says. Other than that things are good. Just wish it would rain. Cannot water until Friday.

Good evening to you, I am doing okay, a little tired today. Too much brain work, lol!🧠 All hockey tickets this year are mobile so it was a job and a half figuring all that out. I have a phone for emergencies, I do not live my life on it. I’m lucky I can remember my phone number!📞
Another gorgeous day here, cut back some plants and flowers.🌺🌼 Glad your mom is doing great. How is your sister in Arizona? It’s been really hot there.🔥 You and Poppy have a good walk tonight.💕

Good Afternoon Sheba, It sounds like you are having a good day in Oz. I hope your husband is well. My hubby is still at work, it’s a day filled with meetings. It was a good trip our gateway, nice to see friends up North in Jax,FL. I did finished the fall wreath, I had it on the door but it still needed some items added to it. I got a box of fall decorations delivered to put the finishing touch on the wreath. After you are done with your rain, send it over my way I could use some. We are having sunny days and dry weather. Take care Sheba.

Hearing the Whisper
There is beauty and power when we listen to the whisper.
You may have noticed that if you want to speak to someone in a noisy, crowded room, the best thing to do is lean close and whisper. Yelling in an attempt to be louder than the room’s noise generally only hurts your throat and adds to the chaos. Similarly, that still, small voice within each of us does not try to compete with the mental chatter on the surface of our minds, nor does it attempt to overpower the volume of the raucous world outside. If we want to hear it, no matter what is going on around us or even inside us, we can always tune in to that soft voice underneath the surrounding noise.
It is generally true that the more insistent voices in our heads delivering messages that make us feel panicky or afraid are of questionable authority. They may be voices we internalized from childhood or from the culture, and as such they possess only half-truths. Their urgency stems from their disconnectedness from the center of our being, and their urgency is what catches our attention. The other voice that whispers reassurances that everything is fundamentally okay simply delivers its message with quiet confidence. Once we hear it, we know it speaks the truth. Generally, once we have heard what it has to say, a powerful sense of calm settles over our entire being, and the other voices and sounds, once so dominant, fade into the background, suddenly seeming small and far away.
We may find that our own communications in the world begin to be influenced by the quiet certainty of this voice. We may be less inclined to indulge in idle chatter as we become more interested in maintaining our connection to the whisper of truth that broadcasts its message like the sound of the wind shaking the leaves of a tree. As we align ourselves more with this quiet confidence, we become an extension of the whisper, penetrating the noise of the world and creating more peace, trust, and confidence. AMEN! ✨😘😎
