@Sheba,
I was only allowed to use the coupon once. Others have said they used it more. Good luck! I still have the 20% off coupon which expires at 9pm. Have to decide what I’m getting… I got Dr. Nassif skin care with the $15 off coupon.

Taci is a Leo too and that is birthstone as well. Lots of Leos. I need to get the list ready.
I may order one more thing before that coupon expire. ♥ -
Thank you Sheba, that bunny is so adorable.

Oh Cherie, I am so terribly sorry to hear about your beloved cat. I know how awful it is to go through loosing a 20 year old fur baby. My heart goes out to you and your family.

That is one gorgeous peridot ring! I’m an August baby so I like to have my peridots! I can’t understand why Generation 1912 is being discontinued at HSN. They will even gold plate it for you and size for no charge! I put one in my shopping bag and I’m going to think about it. 😀

@Sheba,
Yes, it is the worst feeling and you never get over it. I am very sad for Cherie and her family. 21 years is a long time to love someone and it’s a huge loss that unfortunately not all people are capable of understanding. The bond and depth to which we feel for our babies is not always understood so sometimes we push our grief down because it’s easier than to have to explain to someone who doesn’t understand. I think I told you once what happened with me when I lost my Cuddles. Devastating. I also lost Alexi, Tomasina, and most recently, Cali, Baby, Walker and Ernie. It is heart-wrenching. I’m praying Cherie and her family will find some peace and comfort.
It has been wonderful to have the joy of new life in the house. The kittens are all doing well. Just one (Pumpkin) still needs the eye meds. They are playing and getting into everything and climbing like monkeys! Thank you for asking.
I’m sorry your Dad is ill. It is so hard to see your parents suffer. Cherish every moment you have, every hug, every conversation. I will keep him (and you) in my prayers.

@Sheba,
Yes, I know who Charles Krauthammer is; I’m a fan and have always enjoyed listening to him on Fox. Truth is, I haven’t watched much news lately because I’m trying to keep my blood pressure down. I am sorry to hear his cancer has returned, I did tune in to Fox last night to watch Sean and heard what was going on. I most definitely am keeping him and his family in my prayers. There has been a lot of sadness in the world lately.

Compassion
True compassion recognizes that all the boundaries we perceive between ourselves and others are an illusion.
Compassion is the ability to see the deep connectedness between ourselves and others. Moreover, true compassion recognizes that all the boundaries we perceive between ourselves and others are an illusion. When we first begin to practice compassion, this very deep level of understanding may elude us, but we can have faith that if we start where we are, we will eventually feel our way toward it. We move closer to it every time we see past our own self-concern to accommodate concern for others. And, as with any skill, our compassion grows most in the presence of difficulty.
We practice small acts of compassion every day, when our loved ones are short-tempered or another driver cuts us off in traffic. We extend our forgiveness by trying to understand their point of view; we know how it is to feel stressed out or irritable. The practice of compassion becomes more difficult when we find ourselves unable to understand the actions of the person who offends us. These are the situations that ask us to look more deeply into ourselves, into parts of our psyches that we may want to deny, parts that we have repressed because society has labeled them bad or wrong. For example, acts of violence are often well beyond anything we ourselves have perpetuated, so when we are on the receiving end of such acts, we are often at a loss. This is where the real potential for growth begins, because we are called to shine a light inside ourselves and take responsibility for what we have disowned. It is at this juncture that we have the opportunity to transform from within.
This can seem like a very tall order, but when life presents us with circumstances that require our compassion, no matter how difficult, we can trust that we are ready. We can call upon all the light we have cultivated so far, allowing it to lead the way into the darkest parts of our own hearts, connecting us to the hearts of others in the understanding that is true compassion.
