I am speechless! WHAT! Kittengirl that is a lot of work. I wish me and Loaf could be there.
At this rate you should open your own Kitty Haven. ♥ I prey the mother is found and
cared for. I am concern she will drift out and the same thing happen all over again.I don’t know how you do it and it’s around 104 degrees. I need something now. I admire
you for taking care of those babies. I am so glad your daughter is there to help out.
Please take care of yourself too.I have had that happen to me my daughter brought home a cat and the rest is history.
Please write when everything calms down. I can see you need extra hands. Poor little
kitties this breaks my heart. Here is something for you and your family to drink on such
a hot day. Please be well. -
Hi Sheba and all the ladies here!
It has been a long and exhausting day and it’s no where near being over. I could use some prayer for myself and some kittens. As some of you know, we have some new kittens that are 7 weeks old now. They are doing great! This morning at 5 a.m.. I was awakened by the sound of newborn kitten cries under my bedroom window. My day started on a joyful excited note and all was right in the world. But that turned within the next couple of hours when Alejandra began to have the rest of the babies (5 in all). The birth was traumatic for her and babies were all spread out throughout the yard. See, Alejandra is a feral cat under one year old so she is still a kitten herself. We have been for the longest time trying to get her inside, or at least to get her to let us touch her. She is making progress but still not enough where she will come in or let us too near to her. She loves our yard and loves living here but she is just too young to realize what was happening to her. After having the babies, she hid in the bushes and wouldn’t tend to the kittens who were still scattered around the yard, , with flies swarming, covered in blood, umbilical cords still attached and the temps rising (104 today). We gathered all babies together in a box with towels and waited to see if mommy would come near. Then mommy ran off! We called everywhere for advice as to what to do and ended up taking them to our vet to check them and clean them. They are all 100% healthy but we are having a hard time bottle feeding them. My daughter came over to help us and I think everyone is getting the knack of it now. We are doing everything to help them just as their mommy would do but is is just so heart breaking to know their mommy won’t be nurturing them and that she is traumatized hiding somewhere. I would deeply appreciate any prayers for the babies and mommy who I am very worried and sad over.
I’ll update when I can take a breather but its feeding every two hours and all the other care so I will be very busy. Thanks for reading and for prayers. Talk to you soon… -
