Debbie Denmon started in the crazy world of television news in 1992. She graduated from UNT in Denton with B.A. degree in Journalism in 1991, from there she worked on her masters for a year and then got her feet wet behind the scenes at KXAS-TV as an assistant on the assignment desk.

Denmon’s first reporter gig was in Colorado Springs, CO and then it was on to Tulsa, OK, Indianapolis, IN, and finally – returned home to Texas at WFAA-TV in 2000.

She started at Channel 8 as a morning and noon anchor; Good Morning Texas, a lifestyle magazine format, landed in her lap as well. She anchored four hours of television a day for several years. There were times her day started at 3 am. She said “it was nuts but great fun.”

She also did the evening news on weekends and reported out in the field several days a week at WFAA. It was an interesting ride that lasted for 12 years.

She has one dog who she really thinks is human. His name is Kirby, nicknamed Suga Buga Bear. He talks and she is currently looking for an agent.

Debbie is also an Emmy Award Winning Reporter.
