Autumn’s Beauty
As the days grow shorter, we tend to acknowledge the changing season without understanding that we, too, are in transition.
The birth of autumn is an event missed by many. Autumn reveals itself slowly, hovering on the edges of our consciousness until its crisp breezes are strong enough to pierce our summer clothing, and we notice for the first time the transformations taking place all around us. It is only when the last fruits and vegetables have emerged in the crisp tangy air and the trees have begun to deck themselves in shifting patterns of crimson and gold that we internalize that fall has indeed returned. Autumn is invigorating and a time to gather our thoughts, in the same way that we might once have collected crops. Just as animals collect acorns to store them, we reap the fruit of our accomplishments. Autumn also ushers in a new slowness of being for most of us, as the tone and tempo of our lives change along with those of all of Mother Earth’s children.
As the days grow shorter and the blossoms that brightened our gardens through summer’s heat begin to droop and wilt, we tend to acknowledge the changing season without understanding that we, too, are in transition. The brilliance of autumn’s foliage, the flocks of southbound geese honking overhead, and the arrival of a bountiful harvest are all signs that our lives will soon be changing. Whether the season’s cooler days are a prelude to a cold winter or a long stretch of sweater weather, we feel obliged to slow down and take stock of our lives. Autumn’s pleasures and rituals revolve around the gathering of abundance in preparation for the winter to come. There is ample time to contemplate what we accomplished during the warmer seasons while tasting the year’s first cider or breathing in the sweet fragrance of leaves breaking down. The same stirring that inspires animals to burrow deep into the earth compels us to celebrate the rich bounty we instinctively know will not appear again until springtime.
Appearances deceive in autumn. The transformations undergone by living beings seem much more like endings than the transitions they really are. Dormancy, not death, is the hallmark of fall. Your priorities will likely change as nature flares into sunset brilliance and then lapses slowly into slumber, but remember to rejoice in the beauty of nature where every finale serves as an overture for a new beginning.

Autumn Leaves
Nat King ColeThe falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sun-burned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall -
How are you? I was worried you would pass out because I almost did. My husband thought
what is wrong with her. No he does not watch the show but he knows a lot about the show.
My poor dog did not know what to think. When I sink my teeth into something it is real.Yeah oh the Chopper! I knew it. I wrote to Cherie Jadis is redeemed. But poor Father Gabriel.
They have moved forward I wonder what is what. Judith now that will be interesting.
Machonne is raising her. I enjoy the TD too with Chris Hardwicke and it was a great show.
I can’t wait to see the new venture Rick will be a part of and maybe when this series is
over he can come back for Judith. ♥ It was good to see Herschel too. Have a great day. 🙂 -
Cherie Good Morning,
I thought the show was well done. It had a great ending and I new the Chopper was the
answer. Jadis was redeemed when she helped Rick. Judith ah that means Machonne is
going to raise her. I love the hat and the kid has attitude which she will need to survive
in the world she lives in. Good to Shane, Sasha and everyone who made a brief visit.Moving forward. 🙂 Cherie we are raining now and it is downright cold. I bet you are nice
and warm in S. Cali. ♥ Now let’s trade places. LOL! -
Cherie & Sheba, a six year time jump, dang! Yeah, There is a New Sheriff in town “Judith Grimes”, she has that Rick/Carl hat, the Katana sword, colt python .357 mag. Rick/Carl/Michonne all rolled up into one! She a cutie and she reminds me of Carl & Rick.
Six years man, Carol is Rockin new long hair and wearin the wedding band. Michonne looks different and i wonder if she was pregnant and had Ricks baby? It’s going to be interesting to see how the characters handle the loss of Rick, Daryl carried some guilt over Glenn’s death. The show is moving forward they showed Magna’s group. Jesus and Aaron are trying to figure out the walker herd “whisperers are among them”. Henry looks older to wonder if he’ll hook up with Lydia. It was nice to see the Windmill up the crows can’t ruin the crops. Happy Rick Grimes rode into the sunset on the Chopper w/Anne “Jadis’s good side came out 🙂
Gotta go. Thanks again for the Kleenex Sheba! Hope you all have a nice week.🌸 -

He saw she had a samurai, so looks like Michonne has been busy with her. OH Yes, and of course the HAT … that was cool. Hubby couldn’t believe the length the show went through to have her look Just like her “Mom”!! Cherie just thought Lil Judith … Stole the Show!! Stay warm Sheba♥ … Take care ALL!!

Cherie, thanks so much happy to hear you and hubby enjoy the posts. I wonder how the comics pair up with the TV too. Tonights time jump on TWD was Awesome! Rick Lives On! yes! Happy about that. I cried when i saw Herchel , Sasha and it was nice seeing Shane. Rick suffering was sad i was telling him to wake up. Daryl came back with the troops. Cheered when Jadis came back and found Rick and lifted him up and away in the Chopper!
