Welcome to conversation – 15. This is number 15 of this thread.
We are in TAY. This Thread is three years old.
I hope you enjoy this as it covers music, fashion and most of all
Heidi Daus. I am an Avid Collector. ♥ my focus is fashion being a former
fashion model. As a singer I cover lots of old school music and popular and
show tunes. Movies are a must. We talk about a lot of things in Conversation.
Please remember this is TAY! I am still learning the new system so bear with me.
Blessings to you all. ♥ Happy Holidays ♥

Holding Space for Others
When we hold space for someone, we offer to be a container for the overwhelming feelings they may be encountering.
We have all been called upon at one time or another to help a loved one through a difficult time. When the help required consists of concrete actions such as running errands or making phone calls, we know what to do. But sometimes we are called to hold space for the person as they go through their journey. They may need to express anger or grief; they may need to talk or simply be silent. They may need us to hold their hand; they may need us to give them time alone. Whatever the case, when we hold space for someone, we offer ourselves to be a container for the overwhelming feelings they may be encountering due to their circumstances.
When we offer ourselves in this way, the more centered and grounded we are, the better. Our steadiness allows our companion to lean into us for support, and our presence provides an environment in which they can be free to move. We can also help by being responsive, allowing them to dictate the flow of action from talking to not talking, from anger to grief, and back again. By being aware and open, we can help them confront their feelings when that feels right, and back off from them when they need a break. Holding space requires humility, conscientiousness, the ability to step out of the way, and us to honestly understand that this is not about us.
When we love someone in this way, we provide a space in which they can simply be, and feel what they need to feel without worrying about how they are being perceived. We can provide this offering in person, over the phone, or even from a distance through meditation. However we do it, when we hold space for someone in need, we are offering a gift of the highest nature. Thanks Cherie.

Cherie,
Thanks for making me feel better. Snow can be annoying when it’s too early. Looks like
we are going to have a cold winter. Some winter’s are so mild we don’t have to turn on
the heat. This winter is going to be something. Hey have a great day. Thank you for
seeing what this thread is really about. 🙂 -

Hi Girls!
-
I am loving this from Heidi Daus. ♥
-
Chloe was my daughter’s dog name. Everytime I see that name it reminds me of her dog.
We all miss Chloe. ♥I hope you have fun with your costumes and that Heidi Daus Necklace is perfect!
Yeah the girls do visit my dressing room but they like so much. My nieces on the other
hand wants it all. I have like 5 of them. One is a set of twins and they already picked out
what they like. LOL! I hope it cools down some for you but not real cold. I hope your back
feels better. Yeah couple of more days before Heidi Daus. ♥ -
Hi Sheba;
It is sunny and hot again today. Jerry and I voted at 7:05 this morning. We went over our sample ballots last night. Hone now with a dull lower back which needs to be better by tomorrow. This will be my busiest week and weekend.
I bet you cannot wait to get the children home as often as possible. Do your daughters explore your dressing room for goodies when home?
Chloe is doing okay. I was going to have her today but bending over is a little tough today. My thing is to pick them up and cuddle. She is hoping for a new friend, husband, toddler one of these days.
This Friday is the Voyage to England party. I have ordered a Queen Elizabeth wig, a plush Corgi that is rude and makes noises and a pillow which is a Corgi’s behind. Very cute. The Heidi Worth Waiting for necklace will be a tiara or a necklace depending on the wig. Jerry is going as a Tourist from Florida. LOL.
Two days to Heidi. Yes!

Taking a Media Break
Taking a break from media in all forms is like a cleanse for your soul.
In this modern age, we seldom question the pervasive presence of the media. Television, radio, newspapers, magazines, telephones, and Websites are part of most people’s everyday experiences. They enable us to stay informed while sometimes taking us on amazing journeys. But the content and experiences that these outlets offer also consume space in our minds and can have a profound effect on our emotional state. If you are someone who feels like your life is oversaturated with the “buzz” that comes from the media, you may want to consider taking a break. A media fast involves not watching television, reading any newspapers or magazines, checking or sending any emails, or even talking on the phone.
On the simplest level, undertaking this fast will free up thinking space. When you are constantly being bombarded with signals coming from outside sources, it can be hard to disassociate yourself, particularly if what you are hearing or reading is negative or stressful. Avoiding the media for a few weeks, or even just a few days, can help you center yourself. As you enjoy some quiet time and reconnect with other interests, the fast may even introduce you to creative aspects of yourself that you didn’t know existed. We may feel like something is lacking from our lives during the first few days of a fast. But it is this emptiness that opens up the space for a more expansive and clutter-free life.
Research has shown that both news and television programming can have an intense effect on mood, even causing sadness and anxiety. Without the “noise” of the media running through your head, you are freer to focus your attention inward. Ideas will present themselves to you more readily, and you will find yourself available to revel in the small joys of your own life. You also will be freer to live in the present moment, rather than focusing on what’s going on in the news or your favorite soap opera. A media break can also help you develop a more conscious relationship with news and fictional entertainment. When you aren’t continuously subjected to the media, you are able to look at what you are seeing or reading more objectively. Taking a break from the media may also give you a greater sense of calm, balance, well-being, and a new perspective on life. Hmmm…
