It is my cousin who is leaving us. My sister is still fighting and will not know for a couple
of years. The problem is my sister still needs surgery and cannot get it done due to
pain in her arm.

Are you thinking of your sister? Auntie Aim sends lots of love and support to you. Cancer is the villain we should all fight against in whatever way we can. It is awful.

My events have come and gone. Yesterday, Jerry was sitting on the patio watching TV. He looked so lonely. It was sad. My heart isn’t up to anything since Avi left us. We have decided to get the word out and go to the shelter where we got Avi. Would you believe they have a Cairn Terrier who has birth date papers. Of course that dog was probably adopted since nothing is current. A ToTo. Jerry wants a Bichon mix. We will find one. We must find one.

In the meantime Heidi’s package is en route. Stay warm, sleep and drink tea in front of the hearth.

@Sheba, Good Morning! Wow! You are cold there! That is cold enough to hurt your teeth! Stay inside and stay warm! Glad you got the leaves done before the snow hit! I am sorry about your cousin in hospice. I will keep her in my prayers and hope she can find some comfort. I HATE cancer! I hope you are able to relax today, stay warm and do something that makes you happy. 😀
I have nothing new to report on family but at least I know they are safe and SIL’s house is safe. I have heard some family friends and other friends have been evacuated too. I just can’t wait for this nightmare to be over for all of them. It is just getting to be too much.
@Cherie, How nice to have a casita! And how nice you are able to have room to offer a place to stay for your family. 😀 I hope they will be alright and their home will be alright. I’m glad your kids are enjoying their stay. I remember how much fun I had as a kid when we were all together with the cousins and aunt and uncle. Lots of laughter to be sure! How is the daughter of your co-worker doing?
@bichon, How did your cancer charity event go? I hope it was very successful in every possible way! Thank you for giving of yourself, it’s a very important cause. I hope there will be a cure in our lifetimes. My son says they have found ways to isolate it and keep it from spreading IN CERTAIN TYPES of cancer. I would love to hear all about your Royal party as well! I think your costume was great and I think Jerry’s was really funny! Did he wear white tennis shoes? I hear that Americans give themselves away as tourists because of their white tennis shoes! LOL!
@taci, Don’t ever forget your hiking boots again! I am glad you did not hurt yourself when you fell! Please be careful!

Thank you for your kind post below. It never gets easy when one loved ones have this
disease. I want to punch the daylights out of it. My cousin sounded so weak. I will leave
it at that. Seems like everyday a new battle.
