Treasures From Our Past

Our inner child lies hidden beneath the layers we’ve put on, in order to become adults.

Deep within each of us lives the child we once were. For most of us, our inner child lies hidden beneath the layers we’ve put on in order to become adults. In our rush to put on grown-up clothing and live adult lives, we may have forgotten the wisdom and innocence we possessed when we were children. In meditation, we can connect with our inner child and reclaim what we have forgotten.

You can start by finding a photo of yourself as a child to look at for a few moments. School photos often work well to help you connect with this part of you. Sit in a relaxed position, close your eyes, and start taking deep breaths. Set the intention that you are going to connect with your inner child. Wait for an image of yourself as a child to appear in your mind’s eye. See your grown-up self hugging your inner child. Listen to what your inner child has to say. Perhaps your inner child wants to give you the answer to a question that you’ve been mulling over. After all, you never needed to look outside yourself when you were a child to know how you felt or what was true for you. You always knew the answers. There also may be an ache from a childhood wound that you can now heal by talking to your inner child and offering them the wisdom and perspective that comes with maturity. Or maybe you’ve merely forgotten how to see the world with childlike wonder and hope, and your inner child would like you to remember how. Tell your inner child that you love them and will keep them safe. Embrace your inner child and tell them that you are always there for them. Allow your inner child to always be there for you.

Using meditation to connect with your inner child is very useful, but you can also connect with your inner child even when you aren’t in meditation. Treat yourself to a playdate, ice cream, or a walk in the park. Let yourself laugh and play more. Give yourself permission to be as wise as your inner child so you can stop focusing on what isn’t important and start living as if every moment is precious. Your life will be filled with more laughter and fun.

I;m glad the family enjoyed the movie. ♥ I took my entire family to see the Jim Carey Movie
he is insane. Hey I can watch The Grinch every day because on my cable in my area they
are doing Christmas Movies for the next 25 days. My kids were babies but we all bundled
up and saw it and we were on the first row it was a very long movie. I love the first one
with the Cartoon that is an all time favorite and reminds me of my grandparents.

Cherie I am feeling better with the meds I am drinking tons of water. Honest it dries you
out Is La Chef cooking for Christmas? My hat is off to him. Cherie thank you for your kind
thoughts and prayers. I really need them. I am concerned about my loved one kids.
So I am keeping busy and in my life my work is never done. LOL!

I hope you have reached your sister. Your post touched me yesterday I did not know
there were twins. My heart goes out to your sister and your entire family during this
time. I know you are still working on the tree so am I. I should be done in a few days.
Day 6 of the meds and hopefully this little episode of Sinus pain will be over!

Still thinking of my family and I am going to roll with the punches I have my moments.

are enjoy the little guy Ari. ♥ I am sure you are walking him or he is walking you.
It fills my heart to know that you and Jerry have your baby boy. 🙂 I can see him now.

I have always loved this song and I am playing it in my Ipod right now and I can song it
from the heart. ♥ Oh Loaf I would have loved to have been there. Loaf what I do is I collect
CD’s with the best of a decade and then I download into my Itunes and boom it is on my
Iphone and Ipod. 🙂 I can listen to my hearts delight. ♥ Oh Loaf I hope you are enjoying

Ugh without Zombie’s it was bits of this and bits of that. Hubby & Cherie were really looking forward to more episodes of X-Files, but they didn’t return …. Bummer. I love that song “Tears From Heaven”. Thank you for the little angel girls, I I love them. I often wonder what she would look like and what her personality would have been like. One thing I do know is that she was a fighter from the beginning. I haven’t told you the full story because it’s so sad. My sister lost the twin brother during her 5th month of pregnancy and not long after that she found out her baby daughter had heart issues and would need surgery as soon as she was born and her daughter would most likely not survive past 18-21 years of age. She was prepared to love this little miracle baby and give her the best life possible. We were all preparing and trying to accept and comprehend this devastating news so soon after the loss of the twin baby. We were all over-joyed when she was born. She was a beautiful little girl and she was finally here and mommy and daddy were so happy to finally hold her in their arms. Surgery followed the next day and everything went well and prognosis was good, critical but expected to fully recover. She took a turn on her 4th day and went home to Heaven. No one expected her to leave so soon when she fought so hard. She really was a little angel. I like to think of her playing in Heaven with her twin brother. I know my parents are loving and playing with them both.
I never reached my sister today but left a message. She probably didn’t feel like talking and I understand that.
Anyway, thank you for those little angel girls and the song. It was very touching. Thank you for thinking of her.

I am so sorry your Christmas has a sad day attached to it. That is rough, I know. I hope you will still have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Maybe you can lift a toast in honor of your family member. I lost my Father in law on Mother’s Day so I understand. It is hard to be happy on that day but we always toast him and remember him and it has helped us. Maybe it will help you too. It is weird because Mother’s day changes every year but the anniversary date stays the same. I find it harder on Mother’s day than the date because of all it represents and it is so hard on MIL. Time always helps.

On a happier note, so glad you will have more pretty snow! How festive and Christmas-y! 😀
I always love the lights on the houses when there is snow! I think I will watch Home Alone this week. I watch it every year and never tire of it, it’s a classic! I saw your pic of Judy Garland. My mom loved her!
I hope your dr visit goes well this week and I hope you continue to heal and feel better.

Since TWD is on season break, check out the new show on Bravo, called Dirty John. on at 10 pm here. Try to pull up the season opener on your cable station which sets it all up. It’s a psycho thriller short series with Eric Bana. Very good!
